Too much in the pantry

I am fairly new to the game, saw an offer to purchase extra steak & potatoes...thought, awesome, I can get the chili cookout challenge completed, let's do it. Now, I have too much stuff in my pantry and can't purchase ANY ingredients to make anything. I thought it would be like when you get the beans & it wouldn't count against your pantry numbers. Any advice?

You can delete items in your pantry to make more room.
