Gems from Dragons

Does anybody have a good idea about the drop rate of gems from dragons? I have 13 dragons, in different colors and types, and I have increased that number because I thought they would help me accumulating gems. However I have not any gem from them for weeks. 13 dragons for several weeks at tapping once per day makes a real low drop rate. Something like one out 4-500. I have two more eggs but am wondering if it is worthwhile to breed more dragons.

I had one (2 gems) yesterday. Will keep track on how it is going and see if I find out the drop rate. Approximately.
