I'm guessing the hats are to accumulate for prizes. We've had a quest similar in the past. Does anyone know how often the sherif and bandit arrive? Very frustrating already waiting for them to get the needed ingredients.

I think every 2 hrs. I honestly wasn't watching the clock the first time I tapped on them. Going off previous quests, it's usually in the 2hr range. Could be more, could be less.

Not sure but I think they come at different times. Just opened my game and collected from the cowgirl for the second time today and waited about 10 minutes, no show on the cowboy.

No this goal is like the Mother's Day goal where you have to collect a certain amount of hats to unlock recipes like Bakery story 2

littledarc3
06-30-16, 07:59 PM
We have 2 weeks to do this quest. I wouldn't worry about not getting beans every 10 minutes. I do like the items with water drops, but I find those to be much harder than a person who comes every 2 hours. They ask less of you this way versus with water. Remember the soy sauce debacle? I prefer this myself.

ghjvcucjb
06-30-16, 08:14 PM
Ok, time to get serious. We need to figure out 1. which stoves gives hats. 2 how many hats per recipes or is it random each time. Otherwise there's a high probability of running out of counter space

My concern is one of the goals wants us to make the chili 12 times in 2 days at 4 beans per cooking. If we can only collect every 2 hours plus sleeping and normal life that's calling it close for those who are super dedicated and impossible for those who still consider this just a game and not a career. Forget it if the character doesn't drop off the 4 each time. That also stops us from doing the other recipe goal that requires the same type of beans for the two days. And we're only on day 1

ETA yep, just what I feared. Character only dropped off 3 beans when the recipe needs 4, which means I have to wait another cycle to get enough to make the chili once. That's going to make 12 times in 48 hours a pretty tough run

littledarc3
06-30-16, 08:54 PM
Why are you trying to make 12 in 24 hours? We have 2 weeks. I think I'm confused. Which goal is this?

lnztrekfan
06-30-16, 08:57 PM
My characters were about 1 hour and a half and both were there at the same time. Received 3 beans a piece both times they dropped. As for the hats, if this is like the Mothers Day event you can check back on that post for how many each recipe drops. Last time I made a ton of these and so far they are the same. Pizza Bread at 6 minutes and 2 hats. Margarita Pizza takes 10 minutes and 4 hats. Cobb salads take ten minutes and gives 5 hats. OJ takes 10 minutes and gives 4 hats. The diner stove I don't believe awards anything. The Sheriff Chili and Bandit's Chili each take 3 of their respective beans and 3 steals and 3 tomatoes. The recipe Stewed Beans on the cowboy stove takes 4 Black Beans (bandit girl drops these) and 3 carrots.

Oooh! When did you get this one unlocked?! Or are you a high level? Also I'm sure you know this but.. 2 days is 48 hrs so you have more time to collect. I think you need a total of 48 beans. If you get 3 beans a drop that's 16 drops in 48 hrs. If it's every 1 and a half hours you would need to collect at least 8x a day. I think this is right but you may want to double check my math! Good Luck!! :)

Yah, that was a typo I corrected. The rest of my post was correct. It's going to be a tough one. I wonder if master spice will work? I'll let everyone know when I finally collect enough beans. I'm level 57

Sleep?! What's that? I know right! Lol! Although I think it's technically possible to collect 16 times a day! (24/1.5) I used up all of my mastery spices for the event before the cruise, but I don't think it would work cause then it might be too easy! ;) I'm level 53. Have you already Learned stewed beans? Maybe I have to do that before this goal pops up. Though I may have already set myself behind because I used my first set of beans for the bandit chili! I don't know which to do first. I do love all this new decor! It's super cute! :) Good Luck!

I had the 2 day mini challenge pop up right after I collected the stewed beans after learning it. We need 5000 cowboy hats to earn the cornbread recipe so the 1000 from this 2 day mini challenge will help. I used a mastery spice on my first one, will see if it has any effect or not.

Has anyone purchased the value pack of 25 carrots, 25 beef and 1000 hats? If so, do you have to have pantry space for the 50 ingredients?

I just bought the value pack not thinking about how much room I would need but it didn't matter it took my pantry up and over by 36 items! I now have to figure out what I have and can cook! :) Also by purchasing it, it took my hats up over what I needed to unlock the cornbread and now I have to get cooking on that!

Does anyone know if master spice works? I hate to use mine if there is no benefit....

The mastery spice DOES work on mastering the recipes but it will not help when you have to COOK the recipes 12x in the 2 days. You actually have to cook 12 times.

Also side note my two characters didn't show up together my most recent drop.
I knew it had been enough time for her so I visited a neighbor and came back and she came in! :) Good Luck everyone!

Are any of these recipes permanent? I'm unclear on what the ultimate reward/prize is for completing this confusing quest.

It is kind of confusing with a lot going on. I believe the one on the Celebration stove will be permanent. It says locked by goal which is the Culinary Cowboy goal where you have to get the trophy, to get the trophy you have to complete the How the West was Yum goal. That recipe is Ultimate Chili. Now I'm only guessing on this one but on the goal Sheriff of Flavor town you have to master chili recipe there is a little Sheriff man as the reward so perhaps after completing he becomes permanent visitor and drops beans. I'm pretty sure the Ultimate Chili recipe will be permanent because it takes so much to unlock it. It would seem we would need a permanent recipe on the cowboy stove unless it becomes a useless appliance after event.

What does "restart your game mean"? How do you restart?

You need to manually close out your game then reopen/restart it. Once you open your game it remains on even if you click off of it and go somewhere else. To close out and restart any program, double click your devices' start button, then all the programs appear but in smaller screens, then swipe each one up. That will close them all out. Then go to your icons, click on your game and it will restart.

I was wondering the same thing. Unfortunately all my counters are full so can't make anything new.

WISH we could get more counters every time we get a new appliance or x amount of new recipes. It's becoming impossible to even make and display one recipe per stove on the counters. We have so many recipes. At this point I can only make the same handful of recipes over and over OR not play for days to empty my counters.

I hear you ghjvcucjb! I hate discarding the whole counter! Well I just totaled up the hats. You get 3000 hats for level 1 & 2 of each chili. That's 12,000 hats right there! Plus 1000 for each side dish. That's 15,000. Why are we so worried about hats?? We should worry about the goals. Forget all this tapping! Am I adding this up right before I stop making items I no longer need?

If I'm adding this up right then we shouldn't cook anything unless it's necessary for the 13 days and that should help clear those counters!

The mastery spice works for the chili only. It doesn't count for the side dishes. I just finished my sheriffs chili with the help of the mastery. Now if the beans can keep up, I'm attempting the bandits!

MauiLady7
07-01-16, 06:22 PM
You only get the 1000 hats for each side dish if you cook them in 2 days I missed that part! A big part. The onions you have 4 days! Dang back to cooking up a storm! If anyone has the levels it sure would be nice about now!

However I just got 3000 hats for cooking the last sheriffs chili! I wonder if that's because I did it in under 2 days??? A little input would be nice for us hat hungry cooking fools.

Yah, I'm trashing most of the items I make at this point. Such a waste. I pick the one highest hats item per stove and when I run out of ingredients I just let the stove sit. I wish I could make the quickest but then it sits there for half the day until a counter clears or I get tired and trash.

WE NEED MORE COUNTERS If we're going to continue to get new recipes and appliances!!! Please S8/TL

Stewed Beans goal ........
I need 16 visits for required beans (16x3=4x12), with visits at every 1.5 hours that's 24 hours (or 21 hours), so with 2 days to do it, I need to collect 8 times per day, meaning even if I collect exactly every 1.5 hours it'll still take 10.5 hours a day (assuming 1 at the start of each day, so it's not 12 hours).

Cornbread goal........
Yet the other recipe is easy and can be done in 7 hours (2 ovens), yet has 3 days to do it, not 2.

Both goals give 1000 hats! Why?! One is really easy, the other extremely difficult (you have to be able to collect beans every 1.5 hours for almost all of your waking day for 2 days). Plus the easy one gives you 3 days to complete (when you can easily do it in 2 days, or even 1 day, by their standards) and the hard one only 2 days to complete.
Did they get the day allowance the wrong way round with these?!

The timer on the Cornbread quest line in my To-do list says 3 days, however when I open it, it says 2 days! Can anyone from S8 or one of the mods check on this please?

That 2 days stewed beans quest is about impossible. Especially when they only drop 3 beans, when they bother to show up. Then you have to get on every 1.5 hours. Didn't know that my first day, so it's already messed me up.

Would buy the steaks, carrots and hats but don't have enough pantry room. Making these items take up space or disappear is not very profitable for the company as it lost my sale on about every quest because of this. I learned this my first quest when I bought items and lost most of them! You would think purchases would be like special items in inventory that don't take up space. Who here has 50 spaces in their pantry for steaks and carrots???

Aside from mastering the chiles, and trying to do the side quests, are there any recipes that produce more than just a handful of hats? It seems that the rate of hat drops from cooking food is almost pointless. There should be some recipe that drops 50 - 100 hats per cooking, or making 22,000 hats is going to be impossible. At least that's how I feel. And it would also be nice if the bean droppers occasionally dropped extra beans. I'm trying to decide if I should spend gems or not on the stewed beans quest, as I'll be lucky to get 10/12 done before my timer runs out. Sorry to be so whiny, but I'm just frustrated by something that's supposed to be fun and challenging, not daunting and seemingly impossible.

Am I missing something? We essentially have to wait 3 hrs to cook 1 x beans. And it's only worth 1000 hats. However if we use beans for bandit chilli instead that one is worth 3000? Since they use the same beans , isn't the point collecting hats?

Unless you have that illness that says you must master all new dishes. LOL

You must master all the new dishes, plus make cowboy coffee 35 times and now collect 22,000 hats for the ultimate chili recipe! yikes! So each side dish completed helps with the hat goal. Right now I'm at 13,851 hats and I'd be further if the Bandit was more reliable.

And it makes me wonder, if they could open the Food Truck to take all the dumped servings and x amount of servings dumped and a player gets the choice of an item from Cid the Builder?

I'm not impressed that the Stewed Beans task started without an option for delaying it! I work over the weekend and I've had to use gems to finish. Thanks for all the info, BeckyCarter and others. I am now saving up my sugar for the coffee while working on the tumbleweed bake side challenge.

I was able to do cornbread in less than 2 days, but I had to spend 30-40 gems to complete the Sheriff Chili. I used gems to get the hats. I was on airplane and could not get enough beans. I am not sure if I could have finished that side quest even without the disruption to wifi.

Edited to add: deep fryer gave me hats but can't remember how many.

I can add:
Deep Fryer: 8
Taco bar: 2
Japanese Cart: 2
Diner Stove: 0
Snowy Oven: 0
Ghostly Oven :0

Also only mastering levels 1 & 2 of the chilis gives you the bonus 3,000 hats. You get the Ketchup Cowboy for 3rd level of Sheriff Chili and Dusty Mustard for the Bandit Chili. I have found that sometimes one or the other character doesn't show up at the same time. I then visit a neighbor and come back and they are waiting or arrive soon afterwards.

To complete the goal How the West was Yum, you have to collect the hats. Cook items to collect hats and do the other pop up goals for the huge bonuses. The cornbread goal was relatively easy. Try to start hoarding beefs, potatoes and sugar. You will need 42 creams (14 cooks) 54 potatoes (18 cooks), 105 sugars (35 cooks) to do the goals. Beefs vary if you have mastery spices.

"daily 400 hats" is a steady pace to complete this quest.

if you left around 4000 hats at this moment, congratulation that you are on a quest completing pace.

22000 - 3000x4 - 1000x4 = 22000 - 12000 - 4000 = 6000 hats

6000 / 14 days = 428.57

so 429 hats a day is a daily target to complete.

I also reach 15732 hats now, with 2 more recipe bonus (coffee and Onions)

22000 - 15732 - 1000x2 = 4268

4268 / 10 days left = 426.8 hats a day.

I can only speak from real life experience here. It took me 3 days of non stop cooking to go from 79%-80% (and that includes finishing all the goals in half the time provided so I must be cooking well) At that rate I still need 20% times 3 days per percent which would take me 60 days to finish this event. Well, once again I collected from the very expensive festival stove (was it really 800 gems I spent on that glowy contraption.....) anyway still 0 yes that's zero hats again and only 1 gem as usual. So for you people who are getting 2 hats from it, fantastic, but it hasn't changed for me since I posted my original list.

On the other hand I will shortly be only a few hundred from the 22000, then when I finally master the last of the coffee I think it will be time for a break, this has been way too demanding.

Is there a specific length of time a recipe has to take in order to collect hats? I was cooking Omelettes because I had the ingredients in my pantry and thought it would be a good idea to fill up all 3 stoves. No hats. Waste of counter space. I'll have to pay attention to the BLT's I'm cooking now to see if they produce or not. Orange Juice is only 10 minutes but a hard to get ingredient so maybe that is why it gives me hats???

NO, it's base on stoves, not time.

Diner Stove JUST DON'T GIVE YOU HATS. No matter how much time the recipe takes.

in the other hand,
Margarita Pizza: 10 minutes: 4 hats.
Cobb salads: 10 minutes: 5 hats.
Orange Juice: 10 minutes: 4 hats.

The HIGHER LEVEL stoves (Appliances) give you more hats.

these information below came from the Mothers' Day event,

but I think the content is much the same.

It took me three days of around the clock cooking to go from 79%-80%

I understand this, it just seemed like I was cooking hundreds and hundreds of dishes a day and the counter should have been going up.

I can only speak from real life experience here. It took me 3 days of non stop cooking to go from 79%-80% (and that includes finishing all the goals in half the time provided so I must be cooking well) At that rate I still need 20% times 3 days per percent which would take me 60 days to finish this event. That doesn't add up.

PLEASE go to your Pantry and see the exact number of the hats.
They are in the SEASONAL PAGE.
Do not count on the percentage.

That will help a lot.

I think MauiLady7 might've meant the jubilee stove - although this game is available in several regions and languages, so maybe it is called both :)

thx:) my jubilee only gives 2 hats for the pride pizza from last event...

I just don't know how someone could be finished 10 days early. I have bought 2 starter packs, spent 50 gems to finish a task, and it will still be down to the wire trying to finish. I have been cooking non stop for days. I'm level 45 and I don't have any apppliance that gives more than 5. If I don't finish I won't be playing anymore.

So if you do all the goals (including timed) you get 16000 hats? Meaning you have to accumulate another 6000 from small cooking drops (between 2 and 8 each time)?

So far I've got 14000 from goals (I just have 1000 from coffee left, because I missed the first timed goal) and about 16000 altogether, so I must have got about 2000 from small cooking drops. I have another 5000 to get from small cooking drops then. I'm only 2000 towards 7000, after several days, so it's going to take me quite a while!

Anyone who has finished has presumably made 16000 from goals (or 15000 at least) and/or 6000 (or 7000) from cooking a lot (mostly 2 or 4 hats per dish I guess, plus a few 5 or 8 hats per dish if you have those appliances) - cooking between about 1500 and 3000 dishes (or more). So well done if you've finished already, because that's a lot of cooking! :)

Although if you have 20+ appliances that give hats, it's not too bad - it's the coffee that takes up all the time (cooking 35 hours on only 1 appliance, collecting/starting every 1 hour!).

At least this is less of a nightmare than Mother's Day event :P But I'm not sure I'll make it.

I find this event to be much harder than the Mother's Day event. I missed the first 1,000 hat side quest (meant to finish it with gems because knew I wouldn't be able to do it just by cooking, but got busy in real life and the quest expired). When I finish the onions and coffee, I will still have about 5,400 hats to go. At level 35, my best appliance drops 5 hats. I just don't see how I'll be able to finish in 8 more days.

I see your poin. Mother day to me was a nightmare bc it took me like half the event to figure out I was cooking the wrong recipes. Then when I finally figured it out I had no motivation to keep trying, THEN 1-2 days to go on the event I start think it was doable if I hadn't given up...

Today will be a hard day to cook, not sure if it will affect me so bad.. Good luck to us all.

That flower stand made the Mother's Day
event do-able. That, and the fact that the bouquet dropper sometimes dropped 50, or even 100 bouquets. That's what's missing from this event - both a hat dropper, and a stand on which we can make more hats. I'm still cooking as much as I can, but I've pretty much given up hope of finishing.

I'm probably gonna give up on this. I just don't see myself cooking dishes for another 5000 hats. This event wouldn't be so bad if the drop rate of the hats were a little higher or if we had something like the Mother's Day event where we could cash in one item and got a hundred hats for it. 22,000 hats is a lot to get when u don't get a lot from the drop rate. And I don't spend real money on games so the value packs are out of the question. GL to everyone still going, and congrats to everyone who has finished

It is possible to finish this. I bought some extra gems to finish it days early because I don't have the time like I usually do for this game. Of course if you have most stoves and at least double of them along with stocked out markets and such you can collect hats through out the day. I was only 3k away and I had 10 days to go to finish. I just didn't want to keep playing every 30 minutes all day long.

I finished this yesterday. I didn't buy any packs, used maybe 2 mastery spices accidentally. I have mastered everything but cowboy coffee, 17 to go. I have 2 of every appliance, but 3 of commercial range, (bought this a while ago, very good descision). I am lvl 60, retired so have plenty of time to play. This would have been very hard for people who worked full time. I feel for them.

Just one last thing, has anyone mentioned that the Ultimate Cowboy Chili recipe does NOT give gems? This may have been in the thread, but I didn't notice it. I would really have hoped that for all the work involved it would have. Good luck everyone.

kellbell710 - my tips?
Let's see - one tablespoon of insomnia, several cups of retirement, with a dash of OCD thrown in for good measure.
Orange juice (two machines, extra fruit from market) then onto vege juice whilst waiting for oranges
BLT (two machines, extra stuff from market) cucumber sandwiches whilst waiting for bacon or brushchetta
Vege Sushie (two machines, extra stuff from market) then chicken salad
Pizza bread every six minutes
Commercial Range (two machines - focused on mastering one chilli at a time to fit into their timeframe) used mastery spice - then cheesecake until cream needed elsewhere then steak and eggs
Chateau Stove (one machine) Apple ginger chicken, ratatoille
Chateau Oven (one machine) strawberry shortcake, baked onion soup
Commercial Oven (two machines) margarettia pizza, baked salmon, meatloaf (two mixer making tomatoe sauce)
Dinner Oven (two machines) chicken broccoli casserole, quiche, sometimes if enough meat an occasional bitterbalen
Fryer (one machine) averages use twice a day because most flour and sugar was going into other recipes
Taco Station - I have all three recipes open, at least one recipe every three hours
I started with 16 mastery spices, mastered another 8 during quest.
From reading the Forums, I was able to work out to keep my mastery spices for Tumbleweek Onion as it needed so many potatoes and the potatoe turn around time was long.
I am Level 60, 200 item pantry, 11 market shelves, 8 herb plots
Also a veteran of the Mother's Day Challenge where it was harder on a higher level as we didn't get flowers.
And I have never dumped so much food, thrown out so much garlic before.
Since finishing I have gone back to "my normal" cooking style in the last 24 hours earned 604 hats.
Hope this helps.
Best of luck for successful completion.

I had no idea the Mother's Day event had been made so much more difficult for higher level players. It seems they've done the opposite this time and made this event very difficult for lower level players. I'm pretty sure I have the max on all my appliances (Except for one oven that's around 160,000 coins. I used my coins to upgrade my butcher shop at the beginning of the event. And, I've been cooking so much with this event, I was actually also able to upgrade my vegetable stand the other day to help with the tumbleweed quest.) It seems like the level 60 poster above has two of a number of appliances; a bunch of those 2nd appliances are still locked for me. But I'm going to stop complaining. I have to remind myself this is just a game, and my world won't end if I don't unlock the special recipe or get the trophy. :)

HAHA,

I saw a lot of high level players talking about the Mothers' Day Event.

Mothers' Day Event is a nightmare for high level players (higher than lv 56) because it gives NO WILD FLOWER (which equals 100 bouquets) and only ONE drop of bouquet per visit.

This time at least Storm8 didn't do that "double standard" thing which makes players really MAD.

Everybody has to be tortured by the "hat collecting".

For me, the most annoying part is I really don't want to cook the recipe I already mastered.

So I am doing all the more difficult recipes and collecting hats slowly (but also steady growing.)
for example the only recipe I not yet master from Deli Station is Triple Decker Sandwich.

I will do those fast recipe at the last moment if I really can't catch up with the collecting pace.

Already taken into account. We need 22000 and I have 16955. That's 5045 left, minus 1000 for the coffee goal leaves 4045. There's about 5.5 days left, so that's 735 a day. Not gonna happen. I have better things to do than make pizza bread every 6 minutes.

I agree! I'm getting rather bored trying to make this happen. I don't have the time to be glued to the game around the clock. They either need to lower the amount needed for total hats, or raise the drop rates per recipe/appliances

I'll second that. I've already finished all the side quests and have about 17.3K hats. Even if I stayed glued to my phone 24/7 cooking all I possibly could, there's no way I could finish at my level. Someone said earlier that you don't get gems for the Ultimate Cowboy Chilli - can anyone who has finished confirm, please?

I have the recipe and it does not give gems. :(

I have so many beans wasting away in my pantry. Too bad the little bean droppers didn't start dropping hats instead of beans once all the bean recipes were mastered. ;)

Hey, everyone! I got my ultimate cowboy chili, and I was just wondering - is that the only recipe we'll get to keep off this event? Does the Cowboy Campfire become just another useless item in my storage afterward? Just curious - I kind of enjoyed having coffee available in my restaurant... :D Thanks!

Yes, the Ultimate Cowboy Chili is the only permanent recipe from this quest. The Cowboy Campfire will be empty after the ending of this event, so you can store it :)

I've decided I'm not gonna try anymore with this event. I don't have the time to be glued to the game 24/7. The total number of hats in my eyes is unrealistic, especially the hat drop rate per appliance. I've done all side quests and I'm still 3000 + away from getting it. Congrats to everyone who has completed it, and good luck to everyone who is still trying.

I have almost 5,000 hats to get in 3 days. Despite cooking around the clock and fastest recipes possible on all appliances I have, it ain't gonna happen. I would say this goal is only possible to those at max levels with 2-4 of every appliance, Max pantry and Max pantry item refill.

I finished all goals except the stewed beans that wasn't possible for me. Still working on coffee. Really, what was the point of mastering chili's? Instead of giving us the hats we desperately needed, they gave us some stinky statues. I could care less about those things. Thankfully, this goal is only for a single recipe that gives you 2,000 coins. That is so not worth the stress.

I finsihed all goals, mastered all beans reci[es

still have 3629 hats to get in 4 days -_-

cooking whole day except bed time of coz, how to get more hats??

This event is definitely not for me. I also didn't bother with the horrible Mother's Day event. Few days into the Mother's Day event it was pretty clear it would be a very time consuming event so I just gave up and couldn't be bothered. Same as I just can't be bothered with being glued to a game 24/7 to collect some trivial hats for 1 recipe.

I actually did enjoy the mini side quests during this event even though it was a little confusing at first. I do think the total goal is unrealistic and too much.

And what's up with the sherif and bandit dropping beans for 2 whole weeks ? pretty much after the first week they're not needed.

The only events that I have done that has ever given out gem recipes was cruises

Thanks

I've pretty much just treated this quest like I treated the Mother's Day quest - just doing my own thing, trying to master dishes and save up coins. I've learned not to be pressed about finishing these types of quests anymore.
I hope we start getting more events like the BBQ event from last year or the yeti one from January, where we get new appliances full of new recipes to learn during the course of the event. I think the addition of having to make things like barbecue sauce or the marshmallows makes the event much more exciting and fun. I'm just not a fan of these types of events, where the theme of the goal just seems to be... do what you always do, except do it 24/7. :/
But that's just me!

I have 18590 hats, with around 3 days to finish

what do we have to cook to get that seriously? I have reached a point I am sick of cooking the same thing for a week now

I cooked A LOT of Pizza Bread, BLT, Margaritas Pizza, Orange Juice, Cobb Salad etc. All the dishes with a short cooking time. I was making 1000 hats a day, but I did have to spend most of those days playing all day! I finished with 6 days left on the event, but 3 of those I was at work most of the day. It was a pretty boring quest, although I'm glad I have the new dish - it's the only non-gem dish that doesn't need sugar on the Jubilee Stove.

Yeah, I've gone from craving pizza bread to gagging every morning when I start up.

We need a HAT FAIRY who visits and changes beans into hats and leaves antacids.

Honestly though, these quests & cruises have me running ragged and I'm getting burnt out. No time to do anything but time recipes and plan inventory.

Not gonna make it here ... without the goals for 1000 hats at a time, I'm barely chugging along, haven't even made 1000 hats on my own since I finished the side goals. Oh well ...

Plain impossible for me, especially with a rl family ;D
Got all the 1000+ hat side quests but I am still at 77% and it won't move from there. Zero chances in 2 days without more extra hats, so I may as well give up....sick of cooking at the moment anyway :((

wow 1000 a day... amazing , that means you play non stop and have enough phone battery last whole day lol

I finished 2 days ago (I tried to run bc my internet won't be very reliable the last few days of the event) and my eyes still hurt. I believe I only finished because I was able to get the timed side quests on time and get those big amounts of hats. Have no idea how people can get it done without the hats from side quests.

Done-after a lot of effort still 4000 away with less tha 24 hours, and played until I was really sick of it! Don't know why I started this quest but after I was about halfway through it didn't want to just give up! A challenge is fun, but this was a bit more than a challenge - not much fun!!

Ultimate Cowboy Chilli cooks 1 hour, earns $ 2.000 and 200 serves, 1 meat, 2 chicken, 3 cheese, DOES NOT pay gems. Cooks in Jubilee oven (purple one with a star), totally not worth it in my opinion, BUT I did finish it early bc I'm totally addicted and want to have everything...

I'm not sure if it's an option for everyone but check your value pack. Mine is now 4.99 for 20,000 coins, 25 sugar and 5,000 Hats!! Good luck! Any thoughts on the newest event coming? My thought is a cruise but as to what theme... perhaps Christmas in July or a really late 4th of July event. Maybe something to do with Bastille day?

I have the same offer right at the moment.
I also noticed that if you want to skip the last step the amount of gems needed reduces the closer you get to completing the event. I would need around 1900 hats to finish right now and not a chance whatsoever to make it. Or I'd need 92 gems to skip that step.

I wonder if we still get the recipe if you choose to skip the last step.

I am pretty sure if you skip that step you get the trophy. Using the trophy should give you the recipe. I have 128 gems to go. Will probably spend the money to get the recipe. The more recipes the merrier.

You would get the recipe! If you use the gems to skip the last step, the gems actually complete the number of hats you have which would unlock the recipe, idk if you have to cook it before time expires though.

I'm about 1500 short of finishing. That was playing hard core every day and finishing all the mini goals in the beginning in half the time required. This was one of the longest, most tedious, not fun events ever. Glad it's over. Never want to see another cowboy, ten gallon hat or beans in my restaurant again.

That's good to know then thanks! I have lots of gem recipes from various cruises so I might actually spend the gems to get it.
If I have to cook it I could always spend a few quick services.

Personally I feel the amount of play time needed to finish this one normally is over the top. I did finish all the mini goals as well

The Ulitimate Cowboy Chili was the prize for completing this event, all other dishes will disappear and you can put your stove in storage.
