CH 1

The warm summer air lifted the Sunlight Dragon as he traveled upon up currents, soaring over the Dragon Isles below. Dragons all over the Isles were busy collecting food, playing with one another, and training in the Arena. It was a perfect day; or it seemed to be. A strange glint caught the Sunlight Dragon's eye. In the middle of the sky there seemed to be a shimmering jagged line...

CH 2

The jagged line caught the light and looked almost as if it were a crack in glass... but this crack was in the sky. There's no way that there could be a crack in the sky; the only thing capable of breaking the sky is the one who made it, the Skyshatter Dragon. Sunlight's eyes must have been playing tricks on him, but as he got close and ran his paw over the line, it was undeniably a crack. The Sunlight Dragon froze in midair; the sky was breaking...

CH 3

Hoping this was only an isolated incident, the Sunlight Dragon zipped around searching for othercracks. Much to his dismay, there were more... many more. This couldn't be possible without the presence of the Skyshatter Dragon, and it hasn't been seen in ages. In fact, it was the Skyshatter Dragon who entrusted the Sunlight and his sister, the Moonglow Dragon to protect the sky.

CH 4

The cracks began to spread like spider webs across the blue sky. Sunlight frantically flew around trying to figure how to stop the cracks from spreading but it was too late. With a shattering clamor, Sunlight spun around and watched a large piece of the sky break away and plummet into the ocean below! The sky was falling! Where the piece of sky once sat, there was now a mysterious spinning nebula of darkness. Up above there was another shiny piece cascading towards the planet, but this time it wasn't the sky. It was a Sun Tear!

CH 5

Long ago, the Skyshatter Dragon warned Sunlight and Moonglow that if the sky ever fell, the pieces would be impossible to find without a mixture of Sun and Moon Tears. These celestial bodies would cry at the sight of the magnificent sky falling down. He swooped down and caught the warm tear, then swiftly changed course to warn his sister.

CH 6

As Sunlight neared the horizon point of dawn, his sister, the Moonglow Dragon was already waiting for him. In her hands he could see a Moon Tear and knew that the worst was yet to come. They agreed to collect as many tears as they possibly could to find the fallen pieces of sky, but more importantly they would have to find and stop the cause of the destruction!

CH 7

As the two raced across the world collecting Sun and Moon Tears, Moonglow dragon stopped her brother and pointed up to a section of holes up above. Behind the shattered canvas of sky raced a magnificent-looking dragon, however its movements were odd and erratic, as if it didn't know where it was going or why. As the two neared the hole they were surprised to see that it was in fact, the Skyshatter Dragon! They couldn't believe that the creator of the sky would come back and ruin it with such reckless abandon, but something else was off as well...

CH 8

The Skyshatter Dragon didn't seem like the old friend they once knew. Calling out to it barely triggered a reaction, and as they got closer they noticed that its eyes were glowing red when they used to be a light blue, the same color used to paint the sky itself. Any method of reaching out didn't work, but the Sunshine Dragon had an idea. When creating the sky, the Skyshatter Dragon used a complicated Solar Orrery to plan its creation. If they could recreate the artifact, they might be able to locate the fallen pieces and place them back in their proper places.

CH 9

The two went off to create the Solar Orrery, fixing each piece into precise locations. The whole time the Skyshatter Dragon flew aimlessly behind the canvas of sky in the dark regions, running into it from behind causing more cracks to appear. As they came near completion, the device began to beep. Being unfamiliar with the functionality of the Solar Orrery, the two stepped back and watched as it began to project red circles all around the planet. Each red circle located a hole or sky shard, but one red circle seemed to follow something flying above; the Skyshatter Dragon. To the device, the Skyshatter Dragon was broken. Sunshine and Moonglow both had a small sigh of relief. They knew there was no way their friend would do such a thing, but the question now was, what was wrong with the Skyshatter Dragon?

CH 10

Using Sun and Moon tears, the two placed several sky shards back to their rightful locations. Once several pieces were replaced, there seemed to be a wave of clarity that passed over the Skyshatter Dragon. It flew in place and looked at its surroundings, the glowing red eyes replaced by the beautiful sky blue. It had no idea why it caused such aimless destruction. It explained that it felt as I it was in a dark fog, a deep voice whispering dark thoughts into its mind. It almost seemed as if a spell was placed on the Skyshatter Dragon, but Sunlight and Moonglow must have broken it with their repairs. Looking around at all the holes in the sky, the Skyshatter Dragon apologized and vowed to repair the damage it had done. Sunlight and Moonglow smiled. Their old friend was back! The trio went off to reclaim all the missing pieces, but the lingering question of what darkness took hold of the Skyshatter Dragon couldn't be shaken...

I called it! I said it'll be a new Dragon Tales :D

The last dragon looks cool, but I feel like I've seen this design many times by now :s But it's still pretty.
The important thing for me is what kind of types they are. Does someone have these informations? :)

The habitat is lovely....too bad I don't have enough gold. A sale would be nice right now TL ...hint hint.

The tasks for my level (99 and 102) are difficult so I may only go for the first two dragons. I only have 200,000 and even if I wait until Tuesday it will be a stretch since I just bought the two GPDs. :) Good luck everyone!!!!

From what I have learned by participating in the Dragon Tales events. Information specific to this Dragon Tales event (food requirements, special crafted items, etc.) will be added to the top of this post as the information becomes available.

Dragon Food Requirements
coming

Special Quests
coming

Special Crafted Items
coming

Requesting Dragon Tales Related Items
*Request from your neighbors when prompted. The Dragon Tales dialog box will give you a button that allows you to send the requests.
*You will need to collect the requested amount of items after the prompt; any received before the current prompt will not count.
*Do not send map/lotus requests on days that you need the Dragon Tales items. We are assuming that you will only be able to receive 20 requests total per day as usual. If you have already received 20 maps/lotuses you may not receive any Dragon Tales items until the next day.
*If you need neighbors, especially neighbors in a similar time zone, use the add me forum: http://forums.storm8.com/forumdisplay.php?93-Dragon-Story-Add-Me.

Breeding Suggestions
coming as soon as we know more

How it works
*The first possible day of the event begins at reset (10:30 am Pacific time).
*Each day ends and the next day starts at midnight Pacific time.
*Each day ends at a fixed time relative to when you started the event. Say you start on a Tuesday, day 2 starts Wednesday at midnight Pacific time, day 3 starts Thursday at midnight Pacific time, etc. If you skip ahead on day 1 to play the tasks for day 2, you will still have to wait until Thursday at midnight Pacific time to start the tasks for day 3 unless you spend more gold to skip ahead again.
*Each day has a series of tasks. At the end of day two, you will receive a dragon. This dragon will need to be leveled up during the event and will need to go on special quests as prompted. You probably need to take this dragon to level 10 or above, so plan your food accordingly as it may take 100,000 food.
*The tasks get increasingly difficult and more time consuming each day. The first 3 days are pretty easy and could all be completed in one day if needed.
*You do not need to complete each day within that day. If you fall behind a day you will not have to wait until midnight for the next step, it will start right away.
*The prize for the second day is a dragon. Even if you don't want to try to complete the event, you can play through day 2 to get this dragon. There will be a second dragon mid way through the event that can be acquired fairly easily as well.
*There are prizes for completing the tasks for each day of the event. Day 1 you get the dragon mentioned above. On days 2-7 the prizes may be coins & experience points, special event related decoration, food, or maps.
*If you complete the event, you will receive an Ultra Rare dragon.
*If the event ends before you have completed every task, you will not get the final prize.
*Each task may be skipped by using gold. Parts of tasks may not be skipped by using gold. Say you need to plant 7 crops and you plant 6, it will cost the full skip amount for planting the 1 remaining crop.
*Tasks may differ for players below level 31 as these players can't battle yet.

When to Start
*You do not need to start right away. There is a window of time in which you may start the game. Your 10 days start when you start the event so your day 1 may be different from your neighbor's day 1. At the end of this time window, the event will automatically start. You can chose not to participate in the event if you wish. A delayed start will also give you time to save up food and trade duplicate dragons for gemstones required in the event.
*The last 3-4 days of the event will require a lot of attention. Schedule the event to work with your personal schedule. Maybe you have a family reunion and will be busy all weekend. It may make sense for you to start on Friday as the first 3 days are quick and easy (day 1 usually takes 5 minutes total, and day 2 usually takes 5-10 minutes if you plan ahead). Whereas, if you started on Tuesday you would need to spend a lot of time with the game. This either compromises your reunion or your ability to complete the event.
*Days 1-3 can be completed in one day if necessary. Say the event automatically starts and you aren't free to play yet. No problem, start when you can.
*Starting a day or two or three after the event begins means you will know what all the tasks are based on the information posted here on the forum. It is always easier if you know what to expect.
*There is a good chance we will have a tournament during the event. It may be a 3 day flash tournament starting on a Friday or a 6 day tournament starting on a Tuesday. Keep this in mind when deciding when to start the event. You do not want to battle the toughest dragons of a tournament during chapters 9 and 10. On the other hand, the beginning of a tournament with the early and easy opponents, can be a great help during the last chapters. We don't know when tournaments will happen, just keep it in mind when deciding when to start the event.

General Tips
*Check the forum for information on the tasks required for each day of the event. Use this information to plan your approach to the event. It will be much easier if you know what to expect and when you need to be ready to breed, battle, quest, craft, etc.
*Do not use gold to skip to the next day. It is not worth it unless you are doing so strategically.
*Some tasks can be done ahead of time: quests, crafting special items, and leveling up the dragon received on day 2. Do not collect until prompted or it will not count!
Some tasks cannot be done ahead of time such as breeding and battling. If one of the tasks is to mate a certain dragon, you need to wait for the prompt or it will not count. Same goes for battling, you need to be prompted first.
*There is a big difference between raise your dragon to a certain level and feed your dragon. If you are asked to raise the dragon this can be done ahead of time without penalty. If you are asked to feed the dragon you must wait until prompted or it will not count.
*You may need to breed two days in a row. Make sure your breeding den is available when needed. Plan your breeding for outcomes less than 24 hours if you need to breed the next day. See breeding suggestions above.
*Each task may be skipped by using gold. The amount of gold varies depending on the task. Try to avoid using gold at the beginning of the event as the event will get more difficult each day and the temptation, or need, to skip tasks will increase.
*If you are stuck on a particularly difficult battle, consider speeding up the time between battles instead of using an Ultimate hit. It only cost 4 gold to battle again right away compared to the 12 gold for Ultimate (30 gold if there is a tournament). You may choose to use Ultimate if you don't have many good battling dragons. If you do use Ultimate, use it within the battle rather than skipping the entire task from the event interface.
*You may need to raise a dragon to a level above 10. You need to buy a Noble Crystal and place it on your isle to do this. Find it in the market under the buildings tab. The cost is 500,000 coins and there is no build time.
*Do not skip (with gold) having a Noble Crystal. If you need to level dragons above level 10, you must have a Noble Crystal and the gold used to skip buying it will be wasted. Or you'll need to use gold to skip all steps requiring dragons to be above level 10 and those steps are the most gold intensive steps in Dragon Tales. A Noble Crystal will be required for all future Dragon Tales so you'll be one step ahead next time.

Troubleshooting
*If you have completed a task and you haven't received credit for it (such as leveling up a dragon), try force closing and reopening your game. To force close, double click on the home button and swipe up on any apps you wish to force close. If that fails, try deleting our game and reinstalling it. Your game progress is saved on storm8's servers so you shouldn't lose any progress. You may wish to make sure you have a login for your storm8 account just in case you need it after reinstalling your game.

Planning for the next Dragon Tales event
*Have a variety of small gemstones on hand. It is always easier to not need to speed breed, evolve, and trade just to craft an item. The best way to do this is to trade your duplicate rare dragons. Rare dragons will give at least 2 small gemstones. Common dragons can work as they will give one small gemstone though it may not be the color you want. For instance, Wild is a common red-green dragon. Trading it will give you either a small green or a small red gemstone.
*Consider keeping a stash of food on hand to level up the dragon received on day 2 and a second dragon. So far, the most food required for a single event has been about 380,000.

That means to complete this tales I will need 325k+ food . And on top of that I have 2 gold Dragon's to be raised to lvl 10 so that's another 125k per dragon... No way am I going to be able to do that... Unless I put the gold Dragons on hold.

Levels 91-200

According to the info on the Levels 15-40 page, players will receive the Sunlight Dragon at the end of Act 3, and the Moonglow upon completing Act 10. No Shattered Sky dragon.

Info for Levels 41-90 isn't available yet.

I will probably do this on my main island (level 184) since the food requirements, while annoying, are not an issue, but no way can my 'baby' island (level 85) complete this if the food requirements are anything like the last tales event. I couldn't complete it then due to a lack of food, and I've been leveling my current dragons towards 10, so no way to feed and level new ones for the event.

It actually goes by how long the planting is for. I think that the rate of return it one for every hour of growth, so one planting of impuberries wont immediately get you anything. It's better to work out how much you need then plant for as much of that time as possible, go away and come back once it's done. Might take multiple planting season anyway, if you need a lot.

If you've already got two of each, just like breed. It will generally give you what you need. If not, it would only take a couple of tries. If you have enough nests, try breeding ahead of time, and keep the eggs on the nests until you need them.

you sometimes get 1 runestone with the 10 minute food (but sometimes you get no runestones), which i do not remember the name of. the 5-hour food with the 800 yield gives 12 or 13 runestones. i don't remember how much you get from the 1 hour foods.

It is 2.5 per hour.
For a 1hr crop you get 2 runestones for 1st farm but when you harvest the 2nd farm, you get 3 runestones. The 0.5 from the 1st farm is added to the 2.5 for the 2nd farm to give you 3 runestones.
For 20hr crop you get 50 runestones= 2.5 per hour.

So, looks like I'm not going to be doing tales anymore. I thought I would stop playing them when I reached the higher level (110+) but thanks to the "appropriate changes" they've just made, I have already reached it. Now I have about 125.000 food because I spent a lot of it in the leaderboard event, but I usually have around 300.000, an amount of food that is really hard to get, and I won't be spending all of it every time there is a tales game to level up some random dragons I don't care about and I don't want them to be at level 14 (NONE of the dragons in my island is at that level, for God sake!!). It's hilarious. So, no more tales for me. Thanks to the team for thinking of the players, I send you kisses!! <3

I'm at level 103 and feel the same way. If I'm going to take any dragon up to level 14 or 15, it's going to be one that is useful in battle, like my Diamond, Kitsune, or Night Elf. The Tales dragons usually aren't anything special when it comes to battling (unbreedable tier), so I don't see the point in wasting a ton of food feeding them up them that far.
Thankfully, I'm not crazy about this crop of dragons (they're too busy imo, like the last Tales bunch- I finally had to banish Apprentice to the stable because he was making my head hurt, bouncing around with all those runes on this body and wings), so I'm not stressing about this particular Tales. If it had dragons I really wanted, like the ones in the Sleepy Slumberland event, then I'd be much more annoyed.

I absolutely agree with you guys. I also thought I would be doing these events for a long time, but I stopped doing the Tournaments a couple months ago and it's so much less stressful now! No alarm clock every single hour :D World Events are usually really easy, so normally I have no problems doing them. But the Dragon Tales are turning into a way too stressful direction - Especially when you reach a point like right now where you have dragon you want to feed to level 10 (Treasure Dragons) vs Dragons you need to feed to get another dragon. Fortunately this Event doesn't even have any Special Types, so I'm out of it. I'll use these two weeks to collect food and gold and level some dragons I care about :)

Of my Tales Dragons that I have either had to raise to L14 or L12, some of them have been useful in the Arena for me. Playful, Apprentice, Beast and Jack have all been helpful at times and still are(especially so prior to my first Champion which was Prize Fighter).

Queue the "have trouble breeding a dragon that I've gotten a hundred times before while trying for other dragons" issues...

Hopefully the powers that be are listening to the people and their numbers reflect the feedback...

On the plus side, the habitat looks amazing and I'd actually consider splashing out on it if a sale hit... Dragons are pretty nice too...

Luckily I had a heap of obsessives in my last leaderboard event so I didn't feel the need to overdo that...

The Tales dragons can be useful, but it all depends on what other dragons you have. For example, Mistmoth and Aether are better choices for battling than the Beast. All three have the same colors, purple/blue, but Beast is only a rare and also in the unbreedable tier. Mistmoth and Aether are both super rare and breedable, which makes them more formidable against opponents. The only advantage to an unbreedable dragon would be if they contain (and use) a minor type. Like Lightning- he uses pink magic, which trumps the fact he's unbreedable, so he's a great fighter.

Wow, highest levels starting at 91, not at 110 like before??? Who at level 91 can produce enough food to bring a dragon to level 14???

Not me. I struggle to even bring anything to lvl 10
I haven't even bought the noble crystal yet.

One more for the "I'm not happy about the levels changing." Group.

I'm level 101, I don't have a noble crystal yet, and I sure can't breed dragons on demand as proved by the last event (and the event in the winter when my fail was a Moon!) I don't usually have ANY of the "recommended" breeding dragons to ensure only "safe" fails and, quite honestly, if I'm now expected to swing with the big boys and level my dragons above 10, I just can't! This isn't fun anymore! I love DS, but if I keep missing out on the "cool" dragons because I don't have the time to constantly harvest coins and plant grapes... Boy, it just doesn't seem right to complain about getting such great content, but dropping this on us so soon after the leaderboard, and pushing the levels is just too much for those of us on the wrong side of the edge. If I'd had a few weeks notice, could get some extra habitats, get my crystal early, all the things I had planned to do after 10 more levels, well that would be different. But having played less than a year, I can't keep up with those that have planed years and their hoard of dragons for money making and selective breeding! Really frustrating! I'm mad enough not to buy my special offer too! (And it was a cute dragon and reasonably priced.)

For the hoping I'm gonna make a step-by-step walk-through (high lvl players only): I'm gonna do so tomorrow.

First preparation steps are:

Before starting:
Have 1 20-hour crops ready for collection (put farm out of the way to prevent premature collecting)
Have 1 Mist-egg on the nest
Have 1 Fruitfull-egg on the nest

We are going to decide by the end of the day if we're going to work on completing this one (started before seeing the last day).

Maybe TPTB will see how crazy it is to collect 20 items from neighbors and lower the amount, like they did recently in Farm Story when the time to produce an item made it nearly impossible to complete the goal in time.

In posting my irk about chapter 10, I play 3 games and only my main game has GPD which allows me the frivolity of partaking in some of these events. Maybe, and I will have to see about how I feel about spending gold on that account, if even I want to complete this event.

I used to like this game and being able to attempt to breed the new dragons but this isn't happening ATM. Can you feel remorse for the way a data controlled game makes you feel I think so!

They're guaranteeing errors across the board. ..I guess everyone saying they loved the tales prompted them to mess them up to the point we hate them too? if you don't want the game to continue, great job...!

Gah I had to edit, I was pretty mean there, but really, I think I am skipping this one as well. First one I've said this about...lovely work on the dragons, and the habitats, but i refuse to pay gold for something like that going on.

I'm level 105 with my main island and my middle island is 95 so I'm up in the highest level and I had trouble finishing at the mid level with trying to win battles and collecting items from neighbors. NONE of my dragons are above 13 and I'm not wasting all my food on trying to level up a new dragon to 14. I know I have absolutely no chance of completing and will not bother trying. My baby isle has a chance to get two dragons so I will try to do that. Why was there the need to feel you have to keep changing the format? :( 2 thumbs down. If players don't feel like they have a chance to win why would they even bother to play?

***Edited*** Got 1st dragon on baby island. Putting mid level requirements up as getting them page 4.

Kinda annoyed with the change it levels and the fact that we have to get a dragon to level 14 or something that's kinda absurd. I finished the last two tales but I won't even bother to start this one to get the first or second dragon and waste any of my food. I don't have 300,000+ I've been working on building my food storage and I don't plan on burning it all at once. Really disappointed with this Tale Event!

I was just wondering if there was a "safe" pairing and came here to look. I decided, in spite of my above rant, to try to get to the second dragon. It does sound like even the highest level players will find this impossible due to requesting required. I guess maybe I should accept I'm never getting another final dragon... Which is sad because I've only gotten two, I think, I had a chance at two more, but could never get the breeding correct. I don't know how that makes me feel right now. I'd rather have a world event.

The last day you have to get TWENTY bottled moons from your neighbors??????? That means you need probably at least 30 neighbors to hopefully have enough of them reply to your gift request and hopefully have enough time to collect enough rune stones by the end of the day. This seems practically impossible to complete.

Adding onto the fact that the max number you can receive is 20 per day, which means you cannot ask for maps when you're near the last day, because maps also counts towards that 20

And does that mean we should reject gold that day or just hold off accepting it from our gold buddies? This gift thing/strategy is too confusing so I timed my last two day for Saturday and Sunday. 91 is ridiculous. Frankly, 111 being grouped with Lvl 200 players is also ridiculous, imo. I'd suggest to those making the decisions for the requirements to take a few minutes to visit a game on level 91. 3 of our games just got slammed into the top tier and they don't generate enough coins to grow higher producing crops more than occasionally. We will stop at the 2nd dragon and call it a day.
I firmly believe this business strategy is extremely shortsighted. Discouraging middle level players is likely to drive them away from the game. Can't win Leaderboard (or even reach all of the milestones).
Cant finish last World Event (despite finishing every single one before).
Cant finish tournaments.
Can't finish Tales.
With events happening constantly, there is disappointment constantly. Small wonder why so many of my best neighbors have left the 'game'. It is a game, right? Games are fun...

I am at level 105 and raised my sunlight dragon to level 4. I'm on Chapter 3 and did send out requests for bottled moon, but will not be able to finish at the higher level, so there"s really no point in spending more time and food to proceed with raising the dragon further. I tried to trade the sunlight dragon and I am not able to. The option is not available. Does anyone know why. The only option is to sell(for $100), or keep another low-level dragon. I really wanted the Shattered Sky dragon, but it's just too much headache and food to proceed. I want to raise some dragons that I already have. I'm wondering if I will be able to trade the dragon when the event is over or just sell when I need the space in the habitat?? I've spent plenty of real money in the past, but now feel that the money grab is too much. It's just not worth it.

Why whould you want to sell or trade it?

Are you short on habitats? In that case, I would trade some other low level common dragon if you can...

Lol, I just noticed, skipping hatching Mist or Fruitfull costs 49 gold, buying Mist or Fruitfull costs 50 gold. Yup, skipping is far cheaper...

The best way to increase your food is to spend a lot of time planting 30 second food, 3 minute or ten minutes food. Do it constantly for as long as you can bear it! That's what I had to do in my first Tales.

I do all the tales and events spending as little gold as possible but you need to put time in!

Last time, the game forced me to start at 7 pm (which is standard-update-time), while my Dragon-Story day resets at 9 am (eg the ability to give gold etc. and the start of a new dragon tales-day).

This coused my first day to be just 14 hours, instead of 24 hours.

Question, please. I just went to level 57 today and completed the first act of the event. I had to battle a level 13 and a level 14 dragon but my highest level is a 10. Are the battles going to get harder and is this supposed to eliminate us from completing the event?

Lvl 20 is the highest opponent you will face in the arena. Once you buy the Noble Crystal, you can upgrade your own dragons to lvl 15, not higher. But it will take insane amounts of food.

Hope this answers your question?

You will see level 20 dragons as well, but the good news is that you can beat them with level 10 and lower dragons! Get a Noble Crystal and work on raising some of yours to higher levels. My highest are level 13. If you have a champion, raise it first. My Warrior Queen wins a lot! Then raise your basics: Air, Water, Fire, and Forest. Most importantly, read the forum for tips! I'm fairly new and don't know much, but the people here are fantasticly helpful and knowledgeable!

I'm trying to raise my dragons to higher levels, but the food required to do so makes it a slow process.

Thank you Anaboe. This does not bode well for my success. A friend's first 2 battles were level 1 and 2 dragons. He's also in the medium level of this event. Guess it gets harder from here.

The best fighters are:
Diamond (good vs Champions and Diamonds)
Quetzal (good vs non-green Diamond-hybrids)
Crusader (good vs non-red Diamond-hybrids)
Champions (good vs practicaly all colours)
Gold or Brazi (good vs gold-producing dragons) (but Brazil's limited and can't be achieved atm)
Jade (good vs pink-purple hybrids)
Rainbow Sentinel (very good vs all colours, but also limited)

So yes, if you have a (super rare) champion, try to lvl it as high as you can, it will pay off.

I've just checked up on sunlight dragon, his food requirements are:-
Level 1 - 50,
Level 2 - 125,
Level 3 - 500,
Level 4 - 1500,
Level 5 - 3000,
Level 6 - 5000,
Level 7 - 12,500 (big jump),
Level 8 - 22,500 (another big jump),
Level 9/10/11 - 30,000,
Level 12 - 35,000
Level 13 - 40,000
Level 14 - 100,000
Level 15 - max

So that means anyone wanting to complete these tails needs 210,175 food, just to get this dude up to level 14! I have no hope with just 50,000 in storage 🙁

Has anyone got a suggestion of a low risk breeding pair for Mist? I know I get a ton of them trying for other things, but my luck at on demand is terrible. I'm still trying to get the second dragon and then quitting... Only because I like astronomy.

You know the 3rd dragon is a new type though right?

If you can afford the time and coins, you can make lots and lots of food with Upgrapes: 7 farms * 6 times an hour * 100 = 4200 an hour...
Don't forget the quest, and the bombs and dynamite... That's +/- 30 hour working. And yes, I do assume you have a normal life... but there are players that do spend that amount of time (and I've spent far more than that amount of time on DS....)

And you get 10.000 food after chapter 1, 12.000 after chapter 4 and 12.000 after chapter 9....

But to get only the second dragon, you only need 113,175 food, that should be doable...

It is very bad for just a red/yellow dragon! But I really want the 3rd one as it is new.

Done that, also deleted and reinstalled the game. After asking my 300 friends on two separate days, and seeing in my feed that be been given at least 10, my tally in the game is up to two....

Sorry to bring it to you, but sending out many requests messes up the system. I do not know how this exactly works, but when replies are so time-essential like in the tales, do NOT sent out mass-requests, UNLESS you are on the last day.

So, for the request on day 3 (recieve 3 Bottled Moons) I look at my news-section: who wants Bottled Moons right at that moment? Those neighbors I sent a request. Because those neighbors are active, right at that moment!

And I never sent out more than 20 per day they can reply. So for chapter 3, I have 4 days for the system to clear out my requests: 4 * 20 request is a maximum of 80 requests.

For chapter 7, I need 7 Bottled Moons, but I only have 2 days to clear the system of my requests: 2 * 20 is a maximum of 40 requests. Again, I look at the players who, at that time, need a Bottled Moon, and those neighbors, and the neighbors I trust, I sent a request - and Stormie's Park.

On chapter 10, it doesn't matter how hard you clog the system, so I sent out a request to each and every one of my neighbors, so I get the requests back as soon as possible.

And yes, lots of my neighbors will be getting a request to sent me Bottled Moons long after I finished the tales, but I don't mind. I don't mind that it takes a bit longer to get mystic maps to clear out land, I'm patient with that part of the game.

I hope I cleared things up a little?

Lol, been there and done that! By my calculations I have enough food to get to dragon level 9, that includes the 10,000 for level 1. But that then means I'll need harvest 135,000 food before chapter 9, and then I've got to find the other 113,175 for the second dragon. Not a chance I thinks.......

It most likely won't go full price. It'll leave the market when the tales are over.

Thank you so much for posting this! I will print it and follow it. Was it you who did this for the last Tales? It made it so much easier to complete! I have one question: can we do the quests in advance? I thought we had to wait until prompted, but following your preparation instructions and getting them done in advance is fantastic!

Anaboe
06-20-16, 05:02 PM
Yes, I'm doing this each and every Tales, for it makes the tales so much easier :)

I've specified when you can do the things in advance, and when you can't.

For example:
there's a diference in "plant" and "harvest" food
there's a diference in "sent" and "complete" a quest
Same for "craft" and "collect"

So if it says: "last quest of the day is Complex Orbit: then you sent out the dragon on a Complex Orbit-quest - but don't collect him until prompted (which is also stated in the guide)!

To be honest, this is most effective in my own time-zone: West-Europe, for the new Chapter starts at 9 AM here. If you live in a total different time-zone, it can be that you need to do somethings a little different.

And mind you, this is for the high-lvl players only... I'm making it for myself, and it's taking hours and hours to puzzle it out, and as sorry as I am, I'm not also gonna do that for mid- and low-lvl players... I don't mind sharing it, and helping others with it, but it IS quite some work to make it :)

Anaboe, love your plans (although you are right in that I have to do it slightly differently for my time zone). Did notice you have a slight error in your plans. Since we have to craft one more Sky Shards than required as goals, we'll three of them as you noted. However, the Tears needed to craft it is not included in your totals. You are showing 7 Sun Tears and 9 Moon Tears while we actually need 8 &10.

Anaboe, You have done really excellent work analysing all acts of each and every chapter and suggesting appropriate action .
However , I wish to point out that Information reg Chapter six seems to be missing . Will you please incorporate the same as players may find confusing after completing chapter five . Any ways , Thanks a lot !

Just send them to your breeding den :-) (otherwise they ask for "hatch" a ...dragon) good luck

So to send to breed ahead of time? Or to wait for the step to say breed and then send? I don't get it...

No. Wait until you are asked to breed. And if you are still trying for a Fruitful for day 8, you can breed with Forest.

Thank you Anaboe. This does not bode well for my success. A friend's first 2 battles were level 1 and 2 dragons. He's also in the medium level of this event. Guess it gets harder from here.

This is possible... I guess your friend started the dragon tales event at the same time as the tournament (17th of June) . So his first 2 rounds in tournament were identical to his 2 battles in Chapter 1/ act 2 in dragon tales event with lev 1 and lev 2 opponents :-)

Thnx, I'll look into this!

Wow! Thanks!

It is such hard puzzle-work, that I completely left out a whole day! Will work on this (and the previous thing about needing 3 Sky Shards) and upload a better version (somewhere tonight, it's 6 PM here right now).

So far, so good. Got both Mist and Fruitful first try, luckily. Have Sunlight at level 10 with 294,000 apples in stock. Gems on hand. My only concern at this stage is the 20 items on the last day. Haven't asked for maps since well before I started Tales, so hopefully will be OK.

I am responding to requests as soon as possible, just remember I am in Australia and I do sleep! So I may be opposite to your awake time!

Edit: now 309,000 apples - I crumbled and bought the Rainbow Sentinal value pack.

Been reading up on this event. That last day looks scary. I dont have that many active neighbors anymore. Most have moved on from DS. So i guess it is time to clean house on neighbor list again and request new ones. Took a while just to get 3, and last tales had to get 8; this time 20???? That is the max that you can recieve of items in a day. For those that went to college, do you remember how you had that teacher that gave an insane amount of homework and required lots of time devoted to studying for difficult quizzes because they had the mindset that the only class you are taking is theirs and nothing else matters? I feel that is what Dragon Story reminds me of now. I am hoping for that new dragon but that will most likely be the hurdle. Not to mention planting fireapples x6 and 120 runestones after. I think those two should have been reversed. I dont want to think that Dragon Story is out for my time and money, but I cant say I dont feel that way. Good luck to all who finish as these tales are always difficult and strain resources.

During the last Tales someone suggested using gold (if you have it) to use it to skip ahead to day 10 as soon as you finish 9 to get extra time to complete chapter 10. I did that and for the 1st time wasn't sweating finishing in time.

For that last day, make sure while doing chapter 9 you have 4/7 farms on 20hr farming (50 runestones each and keep till requested) then use the other 3 farms for Firapples, do it in two lots. That way it'll only take 1 hr to complete both tasks.
Winning battles usually what gets me at the end, especially if there is a tournament on. I seem to suck at tournaments.

Kudos to Anaboe for taking so much time calculating & writing up the step-by-step guide! ! However, it simply takes some time & calculation to do this for yourself! Don't blame her for saying this is last time she's taking her time to do this & post for everyone! I'm not being rude but you can do it. Since I started playing a yr ago, I do screenshots of each of the 10 levels so I can access it quickly. Take pencil & paper & calculate how many quests of each is done during lvls & how many you need to do on own to collect items needed Keep the 1st dragon busy all the time! Ck items to be crafted & assure you'll have what's needed. Now that there's a breakdown of # Runestones per crop, bookmark or take screenshot & plan ahead. As for concern about nbrs, there's a thread for anyone needing nbrs! Figure it all out, plan ahead, & you'll get there on your own every time ♡

I need help collecting bottled moon. I can see in my news that actually enough neighbours have giftedbottled Moon, however it is not counted in the tales. I can see in my news section that I should have enough bottled Moon since yesterday morning.

Please note I am still at Charter 3, so I only need 3 bottled moon.

I had the same at the last chapter of the previous tales Event.

Could someone help please?
Thanks!

Done that, also deleted and reinstalled the game. After asking my 300 friends on two separate days, and seeing in my feed that be been given at least 10, my tally in the game is up to two....

Ok, I have exactly the same problem. Has it been solved?

Sadomina
06-23-16, 01:09 AM
I think the problem with neighbour requests which are not counting is because there might be some future steps of the game are already finished (for example: in a later quest step you are asked to have your dragon level up to 12 - if you already did this, there might be a problem with the neighbour request). At last Event I have asked the support about this issue and that's what they told me.

Sadly they couldn't help with any solution. The event before I spent my last gold to skip the last neighbour quest :(

Me too! But as I've already got a fairy dragon I really wish it'd been fruitful. I've already used gold to whizz through breeding a parakeet dragon. How come, when you're trying for ages to get a rare dragon you always get loads of common ones, but when you WANT the common one the opposite happens?!

I totally agree and see more and more are doing so. Looks like this backfired on them. I kept trying and trying to keep up and play all tournaments, tales etc. Finally, I decided to throw in the towell. I think the leader board is finally what did it for me. With all the compitition of who spent the most $ to be in first place.....no way to host a game imo.

mlckilynn
06-23-16, 06:32 AM

You say these level players "can't" win but I disagree. I do agree with your discouragement tho. I am also a level 104 player that was thrown into the upper teir. I used to spend $20 occasionally on this game and loved it and never regretted it. However, lately in order to win a particular dragon expecially in the leaderboard events, you MUST buy gold. This is when I got frustrated with the game and quit buying gold at all. They are trying to do the same thing now with the other games as well. Oh yeah, you CAN complete this tale
....if you want to buy enough gold. I don't mind spending when I want to but not MADE TO in order to win their game.

The easiest way to overcome the feeling of having to spend gold is to learn to let some dragons go. :) the game is much more enjoyable for me now that I realize it's okay to not have every new dragon. There will be more tales, tournaments, world events and leaderboards!

How rediculous. Any time I try for blue/yellow combos I get mist after mist. But now that I need one, no such luck! First a social, then March mayhem and cosmos in the den now

This has been my luck also. I searched the forum and came up with this thread. I started on page 1 and have read my way to here and have seen this question several times with no one offering a good answer...or actually any answers other than keep trying. Good luck. I'm in the same boat

These world events aren't much fun, and this is only my third. About the only excitement is wondering whether there is enough time between the drudgery and delays to actually finish it...and for what? I've gone from level 78 to level 85 without even naturally breeding one dragon to keep. It takes so much time to clean up fails, and find places to stick them, that it discourages me from even trying, or makes it very difficult to remember what I was trying to breed for in the first place.

This is going to sound like a silly question but how do I access the 15,000 fireapples prize from day 6?They are not in my storage or my food total. When I planted some it still took it off my total.

Day 6 gave me 15,000 coins, not firapples. (I am in the mid-level quest, level 61)

I used to try to raise every fail so i could trade it. That was ridiculously difficult and super frustrating. Then I sold one. Right off if the nest! LIBERATING!!! Ah... happiness! :-) Now I only keep a fail or duplicate if I think it will be to my advantage. Like diamond types... or something not breedable. I am also raising black and pink types to trade. Have loads of other gemstones, but am lacking these.

Trade some dragons! Sell some right off of the nest! It makes the game SO much nicer! :-)

Ok, I have exactly the same problem. Has it been solved?
My advice is to RUN THE ORIGINAL VERSION OF DRAGON STORY!!!

I noticed some kind of glitch with the Dragon Story Tales version when i was doing the chapter for crafting Stellar Steps.

I came back on my DS to retreive my crafted Stellar Steps, however, i saw my Spell Shop empty....it was as if I didnt craft anything. So i just re-crafted Stellar Steps. And when i came back after an hour, my Spell Shop was blank again!!!

So i ran the original Dragon Story, and there, i found my Spell Shop ready to retreive my crafted Stellar Steps.

I hope this helps everyone!!!

Goodluck!!

There is the option of spending Gold to unlock Chapter 10 early after you just completed Ch.9 . This gives an extra day(20plus hours) to get the 20 Bottled Moons(BM). You also get to ask for BM twice, on day 9 and day 10 and the received limit becomes 2days*20=40 items. Anaboe has already written about this option of starting Ch.10 early after completing Ch.9 in one of the detailed lists of what/how to efficiently complete DT.

Oops. I guess I missed my quote. For anyone interested the post said to breed Diamond and Mist to get Mist. I haven't tried yet but if it works, I'll let ya know!

Air X Water has 10 possible outcomes: all the blue/yellow hybrids, plus the Rainbow Dragon(14 hrs).
(Subtract the Prime Energy, which requires both parents to be level 15, and it's only 9 possible outcomes)

Mist x Diamond has 11 possible outcomes: all the blue/yellow hybrids, plus 2 Diamond hybrids (Gold at 44 hrs, Mercury at 1 hr). No Rainbow with this combo.
44 hours would be a very long fail to get stuck with during a timed event (even though getting a diamond hybrid is usually a good and happy thing- if you don't have that one).

With the Runestones, does that work the more hours of planting the more Runestones?

Yes, that's right. 5 hour food usually get 12-13 Runestones. 20 hour food should get 50 Runestones.

My plan for the final day is to plant 3 x 20 hours the day before and then plant my firapples in two batches. It will take longer to get the firapples but the Runestones from the 20 hour food will be ready instantly. Hopefully!

For crafting the melting moon step for day 8, does it only count if you start to craft it, not collect it? I had it ready and waiting, placed it in my storage and the step hasn't completed. now I have to craft the shards over and get more moon tears. Does the task require beginning the crafting or collecting it?

Also, I've come to notice that if you wait until it asks you to craft a particular dragon all of a sudden it will become impossible to breed even the most common (like a Mist). So that's usually the first thing I try to do is breed the necessary dragon and then just leave it on the nest until I need it. Some may not be able to do this if you've only got one nest though.

Starting Ch9 today at daily reset time.
Anyone who has skipped ahead & completed Ch10, please confirm "HAVE" or "CRAFT"
a Solar Orery. Have to quest for more Sun & Moon tears to craft 1 more Sky shard if pre-crafted Solar Orery is not accepted.

I pre-crafted the Melting Moon on day7 ahead of the requirement on day8, Ch8 act.4,

Does anyone know if having the noble crystal eliminates one of the evolution steps when raising dragons? I have one on my original game and it skips some of the evolutions which results in less bombs for mining. I was so mad when that happened. Can't store or sell the darn thing. I refuse to believe that the steps on day 10 were meant to be completed without spending gold. There's been so many issues with the request from neighbors yet they made that like the 4th step. Then you have to win three battles before you can even ask which takes time or you spend gold to speed up. The neighbor requests can take forever to come through, especially when you need so many. So you may spend gold to skip the step or waste all the hours waiting. Then you have to plant 6 fire apples in like step 2 but then need 120 runes from farming in the last step, which means you'll have to have planted like 20 hours worth of pears on at least 5-6 of your farms, leaving one farm open for the fire apples. But you have to plant 6. So you'll spend gold to skip ahead to get your six from the one farm in order to get the battles in order to get to the requests which leads to the runes.

It is forcing you to spend gold at some point along the way on this last day and it's not cute.

I have invited you. Please accept and send me a request. And to everyone, I encourage you to check your newsfeed to see neighbor requests as you continue to play.

Thanks for the add!
