Just looked in the market and saw that stained glass and midas are on sale. Any idea for how long? I'm 50 gold short.

Will only go to nest. Never to storage... Bummer since they used to be able to do that. But they want you to spend gold to clear your nest too.

When you purchase a new dragon, it has to go to a nest. It will not automatically go into the stable.

Immediately bought Stainglass because it's prettiest, kicked Winter off the nest and bought Midas. In total that means I have 7 gold dragons and will have to start messing with 2 collections per day on a habitat >.<


@insomniadreams88, Gold dragons are definitely worth it. The price might seem high when buying but it pays back over time. I would say 400 gold per dragon is very cheap, compared to the 800 sale price for Kintsugi which was released June 3rd.

I have 2 gold dragons at level 10 already.. so at the moment my daily gold income is 13 (5+5+3 from neighbours).. if I buy Midas now and evolve quickly.. Stainglass has the shorter hatch evolve time (26) compared to Midas (36). As soon as one of my nests clears, Stainglass will be next.

Riiiiiiight. And so why the limitation there for literally every dragon we buy, then? Normal dragons aren't limited to Treasure Terraces, and they let us buy more of them even when are at our current level habitat limit. Clearly if they can limit the number of Treasure Terraces you can buy they could also limit the number of gold-producing dragons you can buy as well. In fact, it would have been easier to simply do that. Stop you from buying a gold-producing dragon when you've hit your limit on how many you can hold. And then still allow us to put all of the other dragons we can buy into storage. The reality is the forced nest limitation was added for the very reason harobeda claimed it was. To force customers to spend more gold.

There's nothing you have to do, there are 12 GPD's available and you're limited to one of each...

You'll need to email support for assistance. You've somehow obtained two Forbidden Dragons, but the intended limit of any Treasure type is 1 each.

It was past the sale for Kintsugi (which I couldn't get because no gold sale that entire week) and I didn't think there was anything I'd want bad enough to get gold for it. I don't understand how an egg going directly to the nest would negate a limit? If you can't build any more Treasure Terraces, and all the ones you have are full, doesn't that mean the egg would be stuck on the nest indefinitely?

Since there is a one-only limit, aren't players blocked from purchasing any duplicate Gold-type dragons? Is there not enough room in the max number of Treasure Terraces to hold one of each Gold-type dragon? What am I missing here, because I cannot make sense of this?

If the issue is just needing to build a habitat, the egg is obviously better off in storage rather than blocking up a nest, so that can't be it. The egg going directly to the nest is a big turn-off for me because I still have to worry about coins. The egg would be stuck on one of my nests for more than a week as I try to save up 8 million coins (!) to buy a Treasure Terrace. That's a bit of a slap to the face after spending a fair amount of real money on a dragon.

All of the gold producing dragons were 800 gold at the end of November last year so 400 is really cheap. I would get these 2 and then buy Northstar when it goes on sale.

If I were you I'd buy both right now and then use the gold that they produce for you to then go for the Northstar.

I bought kintsugi as soon as it was released and it's on level 10. My group in the leaderboard event were really competitive and they made it easy for me to decide NOT to spend any gold on the event. (Although I spent close to 200 gold speed breeding and hatching for seahorse) this pushed my points on the leaderboard but it also allowed me to get nemo hours begore the end of the event.
I feel that kintsugi was a great consolation prize. I have close to 840 gold left so obviously I'll buy both midas and stainglass since i don't have either. Thank you so much and keep up the good work!

I totally agree that the sales do appear to be random; also though the amount of time the sale lasts is also pretty random. Sometimes mine last for 3 days, other times around 16 hours :confused:

I will keep it at that level, because I calculated and saw that keeping it at 7 with 4 gold per day for 4 days is better than at level 10 for 3 days.. currently I have 364 gold with two other gpd at level 10.. so hopefully I will get Midas before it leaves.. also I am yet to complete the perfume procurement goal which gives 5 gold as reward.. my lotus is at level 4.. after evolving stainglass to 7 I will evolve the lotus and get that 5 gold.. I am sure that by next Tuesday I will have 4 gpd.. but my gold reserve will be 1 or 2 digits.. anyway it will build up soon.. also my food reserve will also go drastically down.. with 2 gpd and a lotus to evolve to level 10..

There isn't one at the moment for me.. the hungry babies mania goal expired yesterday.. I tried to get that, but on my android the game just doesn't open at all.. I had hopes that as soon as it expires, next one will pop up.. but it didn't..

Planned on buying these 2 yesterday but didn't have a gold sale, though I did the two days before. Decided to wait and woke up today and gold was 30% off. Midas is on the nest and as soon as he comes off stained glass will go on. :)

There is no benefit form leveling up your gold giving dragons to level 15. They hit their max of 5 gpd at level 10.

Yes! Sadly, i need them out but need eight million coins and dont want to spend more gold!! I had to put one of my other gold dragons in storage just long enough to get them off the nest, then I swapped them!

At 400 gold they take just about 3 months to pay for themselves at level 10, and then every piece of Gold they give you after that is profit, and that is a deal even I couldn't pass up. Bought them both and evolving as we speak. These are my very first Gold Producing Dragons.

I won't get enough gold to buy the second Treasure Dragon :( I would need about ~ 60 gold in the next few hours. It's sad because the lowest sales I've ever seen were Treasure Dragons for 600 gold I think? Pretty sure I've never head a sale where they only cost 400 gold.

I said before that I won't spend any more real money on this game, but the thing that always frustrated me was that you can't even choose to only spend a small amount. I have to buy a Google Play Card for 15€ and activate it and then I can choose to buy gold for a few bucks. Like I have a gold sale since a few days and maybe I would've gotten weak and actually paid ~ 7€ for some gold, but not 15€. I don't need any money for Google Play because I don't buy apps and I don't play other games where I have to buy something, so it feels weird to spend the full amount for this game.

Sad :-(:-( I also had similar concerns and actually bought the mermaid dragon value pack which was 90% off and had 40 gold, 5000 Apple and the dragon for Rs. 120/-. My gold sale offered me 20 gold for Rs 60/-. So for the same amount I got food and a dragon extra.. now I feel I shouldn't have spent real money.. as of now (after buying both the gold dragons) I still have 42 gold (I haven't collected any from Midas) . And I haven't completed the perfume procurement goal from which I would have received 5 gold.. my lotus is at 7, I just have to bring it up to 10.. buying that value pack was complete waste.. hope you get the gold dragons next time..

Arrrgh, I just realised I missed the last day of sale to get Midas. I was leaving for vacation and had totally forgot to purchase it before flying. Too busy preparing for the trip. Good thing I bought stained glass last week. I had enough gold actually but was rather worried depleting it so suddenly and planned to buy it one by one. Now I only have regret. It was such a good deal for a GDP. Note to self: never wait till last minute to grab on sale stuff. *tears*

Last year we had GPD sale for Father's day - it was 19 June, and sale lasts June 14-21.

Today is June 15, Father's day is 18 June. Bring that rest 4 of GPD on biiiiiiiiiiig sale for a week at least!!!
