This is okay. One of our recent quests gave a bundle if you bought it when the quest expired. You can place the bundle on your board and when you store it, it opens and give the items within. Your friend just hasn't stored to collect the items yet. :)

This is the bundle after the Goal "Tower Defense". It includes 9 each of Mason's Chisel and Mason's Hammer.
