Round 3 definitely affected by the element change. Electric and Skull are the two elements that are Strong against Shamrock but they are both Weak to Earth. So it is no longer useful to try gear your attack to Shamrock and its better to go after Earth.

Round 9 the Catypuss has been raised to level 16 rather than 12 and the reward for the round is $2,000/1,000A.

I already have as many losses as I did in the last Moleton tournament and I haven't won round 14 yet. There have been some subtle changes to make the tournament more difficult but I have better choices now as well. Just not as good of luck.

I have now lost more times to the Round 15 Ampeater than I did for the whole tournament last time. Last time I beat it the first time with my Harpy but the Game Designers changed my Harpy to Shamrock/Fire to weaken it in this matchup so I am using a doubly strong Obsidian Cyclops.

Round 17... Always at least once a tournament I have a round where a common animal gets the job done when a super rare (or in this case an ULTRA rare) couldn't. Thank you level 11 Skyger!

This will be the 1st tournament a won't be competing in. My Molten is STILL in storage from the time I won it when that tournament was on. I hope that this tournament is a one off and they don't recycle tournaments as they have here. In a way this is great for me as I'll keep trying for to breed my gem hybrids. Good luck to everyone:)

The tournament started July 31, 2015 the first time. It was the best 18-round tournament I ever had with only 6 losses.

Wow, the first two rounds are the same as last time. There are some differences though. Back when the first Moleton tournament occurred, it only cost me 2,500 coins for each battle, now it costs me 4,000 coins (because of a higher level). Last time we received coins and tokens for the prizes for each round since a World Event was in progress. This time we are getting coins and food. The Hamrock has been changed from Shamrock to Shamrock/Earth and the Tulip Tapir has been changed from Spring to Spring/Earth.

My first reaction to a rerun of an old tournament is that it is disappointment that long-time players really get nothing out of it. If this is repeated in the future, I hope the App recoginises that the player already has the prize in the forest or storage, then give the player a choice of a few other former animals as a replacement prize.

I think it's a very interesting decision to bring back an animal in this way! Sorry I didn't do a chart for this one guys since I already have the Moleten in my forest. I will be using these battles to determine the strengths of the new Rainbow element and I will post my results here :)

I actually like that Storm8 is reintroducing some former tourney animals. I already have the Moleton, but like some players have said, this gives us a chance not only to collect apples or what have you from winning, but letting us experiment with new elements and creatures to see what helps in battles. Especially so since the single elements are no longer single "specialty" elements (Spring, Music etc.). I also kind of like this idea because I only joined in January or February of 2015. So there are some tourney animals I have missed and others I couldn't win because I was a rookie. Hopefully I may get a chance to spar for the ones I was not able to play in. Lastly, I like many, have a storage chock full of animals I can't hatch. So not getting a "new" animal in a tournament isn't such a bad thing. We still get ones to breed for like I am trying for in the Direwolf and the new Rose Terror Stag, or whatever it is....Regardless I see the merits in doing a Relisted Tornament. Best of luck everyone and thanks for posting info on the abilities of zodiac, rainbow etc.

I know today has been a very hectic day for me but I'm pretty sure I keep battling the second opponent even though I've won against him already. Earlier I thought maybe he came up again because my connection when I'm at my parents house isn't great and sometimes things don't save properly. But later on we were at an infusion center and my connection was really good. And yet, I just had to fight him again. I wasn't expecting to finish this tournament because I won't have much internet time for a few days, so it's not holding me back or anything. I just wondered if this has happened to anyone else before. Should I try force closing my game? Or is this something I should go to support about? Thank you. :-)

Can't get past level 12 Tulip Tapir...........any suggestions?
Only have basic elements ....earth/nature/fire/water/dark/lightning
Any combination suggestions with those elements?

You will not be able to get a Strong Attack from those elements, so you need to avoid weakness. Avoid Fire and Electric. Nature is Strong to Earth but Weak against Spring, so overall it's Neutral. Dark/Water Dark/Earth or Water/Earth would be good combinations, but if you have a stronger Water/Nature or Dark/Nature they will probably work as well.

I used a Crystal Unicorn and it still took me 3 tries.

I had this happen to me in almost the exact same scenario. If you are in an area where reception is sketchy, this will happen. I was and in one tournament a year ago, I FINALLY beat a treasure animal, only to have my connection lost again. No big deal, I beat him. Well the next time I opened up to battle, I had to battle the same Treasure animal. To avoid this, after you beat an animal, you have to go and visit a neighbor or community member. Something about getting out of your forest and then getting back in, remembers what you have done. (Was doing the same thing with mining to me also.). I eventually upgraded my phone, and I can't tell you how much better and how fewer glitches I have had. Not telling you to get a new phone or device (but it definitely has omitted those glitches), but your best bet is to avoid any battles in an offline area or as soon as you defeat an opponent, jump into another persons forest. I know it's incredibly frustrating. Hope this helps and best of luck moving forward.

Hopefully you are past the Tapir by now but if you are not... Do you have a Petal Peacock? My Peacock is level 7 and took down the tapir. Don't lose hope, I often find the basic elements win faster than those fancy elements and gem hybrids. My Ancient Sloth (Nature/Earth) is my best fighter. its all about choosing the right element.

I think it's a very interesting decision to bring back an animal in this way! Sorry I didn't do a chart for this one guys since I already have the Moleten in my forest. I will be using these battles to determine the strengths of the new Rainbow element and I will post my results here :)

I'm curious Calvinxx... what are your results on the Rainbow element? Also, I have been wondering about the Celestial element, people don't seem to use it much in battle. Is it not strong against anything? Thanks!

If you have a unicorn use that gem for sure. If you don't then I suggest using your highest super rare Dark or Water or Earth. Stay away from Nature, Fire & Electric. When tulip was just a spring, barn owl or Xmas element worked terrific.

Sometimes it looks strange! Against tulip Tapir I used reindeer at first with 3 Strong Hits. Then I tried Peacock and it was only one critical stroke to push him out!!

Finished off the Moleton for the second time. With 21 losses it was one of the poorest performance by my troops in an 18-round tournament. The first Moleton tournament was my best 18-round tournament with only 6 losses. I lost 7 times to the Ampeater on round 15.

One strange thing happened, is that I received the rewards for the goal as soon as I defeated the Molteon. I guess it is because I have a Moleton from the first time around in my Forest. This one will probably never leave Storage.

Well here I am again, got further this time, but have spent the last few hours trying to get by the Citrine Peregrine. Two hours to go, probably won't get the Moleten this time either!! I guess it is just not destined to be. Congratulations to those who have completed this and good luck to those still trying, like me!!

Woo hoo, I won. I haven't done to great at tournaments lately so I spent some gems to help me finish. Think my ego needed a boost lol. I got the food reward to with no previous moleton in my forest. I'm not complaining!

I also was surprised to get the reward for my existing Moleten after putting the new one in storage. I had 11 losses the first time around and 16 losses this time. My best 18 Round was 4 losses for the Orangubang. Both look good in the Lava Lagoon, but this new one will stay in storage as he is not a very high earner and food costs are at Ultra Rare rates IIRC.

I actually got the quest reward even though I never hatched a moleton before. As soon as I defeated it in battle, it was sent to my storage and the quest automatically completed. So I believe that as long as you finish the tournament, you'll complete the quest, and you don't have to hatch it or have a previously existing moleton; well, for this one anyway.

i was unable to finish this tournament. I couldn't get past the mardi claw! at least 10 losses and no success.

When i was reading the goal for this tournament it only mentioned completing the tournament to receive the award instead of the usual hatch requirement. maybe because some people already had one from the last time?

I can't believe i was able to finish this tournament!I had 23 losses, including 5 (!) losses against level 2 Hamrock and 11 losses in the round 16 against Gargolem. Finally my Ancient Sloth defeated Gargolem, but I had very little time left. To my great surprise, my Hatchling won the round 17 at the first attempt, and I invested one gem to speed up the last round. My Hatchling won this round at the first attempt too, so I got Moleten. That was very unexpected.

I couldn't finish. I got stuck on the Mardi Claw too. Not too disappointed, as I don't like the animal and wasn't trying too hard.
