Hi all.

Has anyone bought the Festival Stove yet? It says it rewards gems every day, however it costs 800 gems! Yikes. I only have 300 saved so I'd have to buy the rest (or save up for a very long time). Do we know if it's limited edition? And also, how many gems does it reward daily? What are the recipes etc

I kept refreshing this page to find out those answers too! I always cook gem recipes every day and saved a bunch and then I bought 500 gems when they had 250 on sale for $4.99. Even then I still think 800 gems is outrageous!!!

Unless there are about four or five recipes on here, I don't think it will be worth that price. Not when we can do the cruises for free and make gems from cooking.

But I really hope someone bites the bait for us and gives us the deets!

Yep, it's far too much - and it says it's on SALE lol. I wonder how much it will be full price?! It would only be worth it in IMO if it dished out lots of gems daily. Shame, because I do like collecting everything :(

Wow 1600 gems! If it paid out an average of 5 gems a day, it would take about a year to pay itself off :eek:

I read it wrong. Elsa said 1 OR 10. You're right littledarc3, if my current gem recipes are anything to go by it would mostly pay out 1! And take well over 2yrs (of daily cooking) to pay itself off hahaha. I'll give this one a miss! :rolleyes:

A sale still makes it 800 gems?! Yeah, that's way too rich for mu blood. I'll gold onto my 808 gems for something else, like another taco stove being made available or something. Or super cute decorations. I'm already too cheap to spend 40 gems for the new counter that came with the cruise goals.

But WOW...the oven is expensive. And then only one cook per day? Minus the baked Alaska I have all gem recipes. I'm better off with them.

1-10 or 1 or 10. Either is still a slap in the face. Why would I spend that much to make back what I spent after YEARS of cooking every day? Plus it is a 24 hour cook time. How many servings? How much coinage per serving? At this point it could be 500 servings and 10,000 coins a serving and it still wouldn't be worth it to me.

Whoever thought this one up needs to make it worth the customer's time to buy it. We are math-centric people. Just because it's shiny doesn't mean all of us will buy it. Make it something that gives out more gems and you will see more people spend $20 to buy a stove. Sure they will be getting gems but how many people actually play every day to get those gems.

I really wish I could work on your marketing team. We could go places!

I'd rather buy X3 Celebration Stoves for a total of 750 than 1 stove for 800! That Festive Stove was surely part of the Mardi Gras event as the colours and designs are exactly the same! I'd love to know the reason why it never came out at the time of that event! Oh to be a fly on the wall at a S8 meeting!

The first mastery level or gold star is 100 cooks. Makes me wonder if the quantity of gems dropped will increase?

I'm hoping that more gem recipes will be released for the new oven in time, much like the jubilee oven. :)

No way I'm going to buy an appliance for 800 gems! There is only one recipe on it, which takes 24 hours a day to cook. Also hate the fact that they are re-using the recipe pictures, the Five Spice Chicken is actually Piri Piri Chicken, which was available during the Safari Catering Cruise. The cruise events is a much better deal, where I can get a gem recipe (almost) for free.

Yesterday I received 1 gem and today I received 10 gems. Curious to see how the next week or two goes. If I receive the 10 gem reward once maybe twice a week then it's not so bad I guess.

I've use the stove 25 times. Only once so far I received 10 gems. I have recieved 1 the rest of the time. I'm on level 52

I should think this works the same as the gem recipes from the cruises. Keep cooking to get gems. :)

According to my recipe book I have used this stove 28 times. To the best of my knowledge I have had 2 10 gem returns in the first 6 or so days, since then only 1 gem per day. I feel totally ripped off. Biggest mistake I have ever made in any of the S8 games. I feel this was done to see just how far we would go.

I too fell ripped off, 800 gems was waaay too much, your theory makes total sense, that or an honest mistake on the numbers that when they realize, someone already bought it and it would be one messy mess to make everyone happy, so they go with it :P anyway, I bought it, and with the other gems recipes I'm half way to get all those gems back. I must say I'm happy I bought it bc I wold regret not buying it bc I want to have all the appliances yadda yadda... so.

I paid 1600 gems for a stove that has one recipe and it takes 24 hours to cook it for one gem. It is utterly ridiculous. I feel duped.
