Min Level is 12, for both iOS/Android 1.4+(KP)

This event is made up of two main goal lines plus an additional goal of serving 28 Pinata Cakes to earn the final prize, Amigo the Chihuahua! Hector is the special guest for this event.

Hector comes around every 3 hours. He drops 1 Pinata Stick (25% chance to drop second one), 1 Hard Candy, and 4 Mexican Cinnamon for levels 12-22 or 3 Mexican Cinnamon for levels 23+(KP)

There is a new item in Jack's Dry Goods. It's Mexican Cinnamon. It costs 10 coins to unlock and restocks every 2 hours. Each Cinnamon costs 10 coins. Hector drops Hard Candy and Mexican Cinnamon. He dropped 1 Mexican Hard Candy and 4 Mexican Cinnamon for me.

Cinnamon Sugar is made in the Mixer and requires 3 Mexican Cinnamon & 3 Sugar to make. It's cooking time is 3 minutes.

For Fiesta Time 1/6 baking on the Fancy Oven, you can get Hard Candy when you make something on it. So far it works for Macaroons.

What in tarnation is going on with the new bakery story 2? I cant finish any of the challenges because it wont stay open long enough to even see what i need. I open the market and it shuts down, I click on the to do list and it shuts down, I try to cook and it shuts down. I try to move things in my bakery it shuts down. Please fix these issues. I have reinstalled this game 4 times now seeing if that would help, it didnt. I can play the older bakery story but it doesnt show the new items. :(

Yeah, and the dog as the goal prize is not a great incentive. He's cute and all, but where do you put him? I may just participate as needed for bakers club orders and not worry about finishing. Also, I'm level 40 and having to make hundreds of 5 coin dishes for a prize I don't even want is a waste of my time. I normally only serve 6+ dishes unless I'm low on stock. We'll see, but right now I'm not impressed.

Mine used to do that a lot. I don't know how it got fixed but I think it fixed itself after the last update. How I got around it was I did most of the baking and ingredient-collecting in Bakery Story 2: Love and Cupcakes. The only time I opened Bakery Story 2 was to serve dishes so that they'd register for to-go orders, secret bakers club, and goals. Even when I'd open Bakery Story 2, I'd exit back to my main screen (I don't mean force-closing the game, just switching out from the app) after every couple servings so that it'd save my progress up to that point. It was a bit of a pain but it worked well enough.

The non-smarty candies only drop from the fiesta dishes and from the pinata.

I like some of the event recipes.

But one thing the designers missed is that a big part of the satisfaction of hitting a pi?ata in real life is whacking it and watching it explode open.
In the game, you hit it and have to wait hours for anything to happen LOL.

I'd rather tap the guy, get a box of sticks that take 3 hours to open, but then when I hit the pi?ata get immediate results ��

I feel like it wouldn't make sense to go for the end goal prize for this event. Because in order to make 28 pinata cakes, you'd basically have to give up making other recipes like the Secret Club or To-Go Orders. You'd have to constantly make the Fiesta recipes (at the same time, and multiples at a time) in order to get enough ingredients for the pinata cake. I did the math and if you make the Fiesta recipes one at a time, it would take 28 hours to make ONE pinata cake. But if you basically work your bakery like a factory and make only fiesta recipes and at two at a time, it would take 8 hours instead. I don't think the amount of time put into making pinata cakes would be worth the end goal, which is the Chihuahua lol...

I'll probably end up just getting the Pinata and pop it. And then bake the Fiesta recipes for my Secret Club. I'm still curious about the Mocha Cake and the Mexican Chocolate though.

Sell your counters holding lower value foods to make room for more counters plus you'll rack up money faster.

Good grief I'm glad it's not just me who feels this way. The dog is cute but I don't even have the room for him and as others have already said, trying to get the candies (especially the lollipops) is ridiculous. And the cream is so crucial to all the other recipes I can't see wasting six. This game has always been a little over the top to purchase recipes and special ingredients but this challenge is probably one I'm gonna skip. I'll try to get the parrot because he's kind of cute but forget making 28 cakes! Sorry poochie...

The 6 fiesta goals and the 3 Pinata goals go really fast....I finished 8 of the 9 in the first 2 days and I'm on vacation with limited wifi. I think it's doable to get the dog in the time left without focusing exclusively on event recipes. I only do SBC when they don't require huge amounts of frosting or ingredients I have to prep and I've been lucky with that lately.

But I agree on the cream...my store gives 4 at a time so it takes awhile to even get 6.

Yeah, I don't think I'm going to finish this. The lollipops are very tough to come by : making the barista recipe takes all the cream so there's a lot of waiting for that. And then lollipop drops from the pi?ata are few and far between (in five hits/drops I only got one lollipop!)

Personally, the items are getting much too expensive. You hardly get enough coins for meals, I can't even save enough to to buy the pie oven...or open the additional new item. Not to mention, the amount of MILK needed for everything...really...6 for one sweet milk...really...and wait...wait...3 per creme br?l?e ...and sit and wait for 20 minutes for milk to refill. Quickly getting tired of waiting...cut down the waiting time on the milk, when we have this kind of event where milk is in super high demand. Oh, and the special cinnamon sticks...hour and a half...please people..we do work, and play for enjoyment...this gets waaaayyyy to stressful. Cut the wait times down for the ingredients, so we can cook, and use all stoves at once...

i think it's a flaw of programming due to multiple drops possibility.

guess they sd use the way gourmet goods was done, when visual drops are exactly the same as text inscription we see when we pick up the drops.

but this thing has other visuall effect.
it's always plenty of all candy types, but you can see wht you actually got only when you pick it up: it's 2 or 3 inscriptions only.

Ok. Enough is enough. In the last week i added a pignata post, a pignata oven, 4 fruit trees and juice machine and I had to take a bunch of tables out to add counters for all the new recipe. Now i have a horders heaven of appliances and looks nothing like a restaurant. The expansion is too expensive. Please don't add so much appliances and recipe and keep expansions so expensive!!! Everything is expensiveand always have to spend on learning new recipe or i havenothing to do and can't expend. This would be a fun event if i had somewhereto put the prize dog. I will do all this work so i can put the dog in storage!! Makes no sense!! Very frustrating

OMG! I agree with all the complaints posted!!! Appliances and recipes are way too expensive! There's not enough room for appliances and trees etc. and it costs way too much to expand! Too much cream is needed! Not enough lollipops are dropped! There's got to be a better way!!! I'm not trying to be a negative nancy but sheesh!!Im still playing and it's a fun game if not for all these quirks!

WOW I've just got my parrot...went straight into storage...remind me again why I'm trying to make 28 Pi?ata cakes to get a chihuahua which I'll also need to send to storage..if the grand prize was a permanent cake like the Rose Cake Pop bouquet then I could understand this game better... You're farther than I am, I have 3 for the parrot goal and 4 overall. I wasn't able to play most of last week but I doubt I would be much farther. Too much milk and not enough lollipops.

I think this might be the only event I really do not like. I am still completing it for the sake of completing all the events, but it feels so tedious! I think its from the added work in having to plan out which recipes to make for the candy; I have to check my inventory to see which one I need, then check what's baking, then check what ingredients I need, wait 3 minutes for some or quick serve the milk, and then finally bake one recipe and then recheck the pantry again because I already forgot what else I needed and then do it all over again. And after working towards something for 4 hours, then I finally begin to bake one cake out of 28. Feels exhausting.

You need to bake a little less than two cakes per day to finish this event. So if you are at 14 cakes or a little below right now, you're on track!

This event is the least of my favourite. I'm actually glad that it's a decoration for grand prize so it was easy for me to stop once I got the parrot. I agree with others about it being tedious and having to figure out which candy is lacking. While this isnt my cup of tea, I'm happy for those who had gotten their prize and others who like it. One more cake to go and I have the parrot. Stopping after that. Thought this one would actually be ok since the first steps went so fast but the milk and lollipop issues took all the fun out of it. Tedious!!!

I am having the same issue. My pantry is supposedly full when I try to get ingredients, but not when I tap on it & I can't delete any items so I am stuck not being able to make anything!

I sent a support message, but does anyone know what can be done in the meantime?

When you pull up your pantry you should have some red x's by the items you can delete. The top line are items for the current event and you are not able to delete those.
Scroll down one line to see the items you can delete.

Just to check. Are you using the Love and Cupcakes version? Can you switch to the latest version 1.6?

Also just an FYI, I'm pretty sure your pantry has to be 90% filled to capacity to see the red x's and be able to delete items from your pantry. I tried and tried logging in and out thinking it was a glitch in the game but then figured it out.

Good luck to everyone on this event. I stopped at the parrot who's really cute. I always try to finish but this event combined with everything else going on in the game is just too far out of reach.

This is soooo irritating! We wait FOUR hours for the stupid pi?ata, to drop TWO candies!! And one of them is the smarties-looking one that you get from baking recipes!!! I have so many of them already, this game is soooo frustrating!

I finished 12 cakes and I just can't work up the interest to do any more. It feels like you're all over the place trying to do this one and at the same time it feels like you're getting nothing done. I should say at least that's how I feel. Others may feel differently. I don't like not completing events, but, this one is too much.

Yea, I'm stopping at 12 too. I don't think it would be quite as bad if it didn't completely monopolize my milk but the balance is still just really off on this one. It takes entirely too much time, effort and resources to make one cake. Not to mention that making this one, super tedious cake is supposed to be your only goal for days upon days because it prevents you from getting anything else done.

I'm jus doing the pi?ata whacks, and making whatever recipes the baking club asks for, but otherwise, I've stopped trying to finish this event. I don't have room for a decoration anyway, and I'm certainly not going to stress over getting one that I find creepy. I got the parrot, and am happy with that. Now if we'd been offered a recipe as the final prize, then I might try to muddle through.

Got the parrot this morning. Total of 7 cakes made and I'm done. Will use up the cinnamon sugar but no more condensed milk for me! Using it all on frosting and custard now.

I applaud anyone that actually makes 28 cakes!

I came to the forum to check other people's views and can see that I'm not the only one who's fed up and giving up on the rest of the goal. There is no way I'll finish all the cakes needed and like Morose said it takes so much effort to make one cake.

This game is still in its infancy and it's very annoying that the goals aren't achievable to many people. I could be losing interest in this game very soon :(

I stopped trying for the Chihuahua a few days ago and am only making the pinata cake for the sake of it as its a really cute food item. I hope the pinata doesn't become just a pole like when the barrel of roses became a barrel of dirt...mind you I'll have a use for the pole, festivus in December lol where I'll never need a barrel of dirt displayed!

Mexican cinnamon required for cinnamon sugar changed to 1 per sugar??

Edit: sorry that was a glitch in my game.. went back and checked.. it had displayed the cinnamon quantity of Mexican chocolate and sugar quantity of cinnamon sugar.. but it had charged me 3 cinnamon.. I had 7 and now I have 3..

OMG that was crazy. Last night I still had 7 cakes to go. Talk about stressful! I was berating myself for being a completionist!

At 2 hours to go, I only had to make another 3 cakes. Unfortunately, I wasn't as strategic as I should have been and ended up running out of Mexican Cinnamon with just one hour left to go! T.T

So I used all my Quick Serves to bash out the pinata and managed to get up to 26/28 cakes. I only needed one more taffy candy to make the second last cake. I was so close yet so far! So at 8 min to go, I gave in and used gems to make/skip the 28th cake.

At 12 seconds left of the event, I managed to get my hands on Amigo the Chihuahuha!!!

I've never used gems to finish an event before (and I hope to never do so again) but I am so glad that I've got Amigo! I can't imagine my Bakery without him :D He is absolutely adorable and totally worth all the stress.
