Grandpa Louie visits every 2 hours and drops Lavender and Black Tea Leaves!

A new event is here and stays for 14 days. During this time, we have to complete the main goal in order to get the Rose Cake Pop Bouquet recipe on the Spring Oven. We have 3 time-limited recipes on the Home Oven and 3 recipes on the new appliance, Tea Kettle. They include special ingredients like Lavender, White Chocolate, Hibiscus and Black Tea Leaves which can be found in Jenny's General Store and Jack's Dry Goods. With the Rose Plant, you can harvest Rose Petals and use them for recipes and for making Rose Water in the Mixer.

A new event has be***! Our special character for this event is once again Grandpa Louie, who visits every 2 hours and brings up to 2 lavender and 2 tea leaves, and can occasionally drop 1 Rose Petal. The end prize for this goal line is the Rose Cake Pop Bouquet recipe on the Spring Oven. The main goal line has 10 parts, but there is (so far) one additional supplemental goal line with several parts. The special ingredients for this event are: Lavender(restock 4 hrs), Black Tea Leaves(restock 4 hrs), White Chocolate(restock 5 min), and Hibiscus(restock 5 min).

Yes it is hibiscus. They grow in warmer weather. I've seen them in Bermuda all over the place.

Argh, so tired. Yet, they seem to choose recipes I love. Teas and macarons, herbs, flowers, tea cakes, meringues and my favorite color, purple. I guess I'm in for now. :) Thanks to the designers for such beautiful items. Xo

Now if only we could get paid for game testing, I could work less and play more :o

I'm a bit disappointed that only the final mastery level on these recipes gives a prize reward. The others are the standard boosts in coins and decrease in cooking time.

And I'm already tired of the 4 hr restock time on black tea and lavender....less than 4 hrs into the event, lol!

I believe that the rose petals are actually an ingredient this time, rather than just for collecting! From what I can see, you need to use the Rose Petals to create Rose Water from the Mixer :D

I'm so upset! These events tend to [] up my game where I continuously have to force close but this is the worse!!! My pantry is FULL!!! Why do they have to take up space?? My items have now reverted to being able to reload after 2 items i.e. I'm now being asked to upgrade from 2--> 3 again!!! After all that hard work? I've deleted my game twice now because the first time totally went back to a new game at level 1! []

Yea it's still running super slow, and my facebook is all wonky, everyone listed as "bakery friend" for requesting and receiving...and not seeing all of my friends on it. And when I try to relog to reload everyone's names etc, it reverts back to level 1...

Edit..I will say this though, I have had similar issues in the past, and after things even out over time, things are fine. Hoping that's the case this time.

Mine all say " bakery friend" as well. Sometimes logging out of Facebook and back in fixes it, but the next time I click on it the names are gone again. People seem to be getting what I send, so I guess it's ok.

I like that Grandpa Louie brings lots of stuff. And that we don't have to wait for someone to drop us 1 rose petal every 2 hours or so. I buzzed through the first 5 steps but that black tea dropping every 4 hrs will make step 6 take forever!

i havent seen the watering can either but I'm wondering if that could be a special drop from Granpa or another special customer. Let's see who can get the watering can first. Haha non official event goal lol.

I think the only way to get this watering can is by buying it for gems. Personally, I think it's better to speed up the regular growing with 2 quick serves :)

oh i don't believe they cd do this to us! i rather think like ms. tory said, some of guys will start to drop it when we pass some of goals, like jenny started to drop cookie cutters for xmas after several steps...

My game keeps crashing every few minutes, any progress I made does not show when I reopen. Will not let me buy counters, appliances ect, just crashes when I try. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times, cleared cache and restarted tablet. Any other suggestions?

Has anyone gotten past Grandma's Tea Party 8/10 yet? Reason I am asking is that I am currently storing all the lavender while doing the current Grandma's Tea Party 8/10 as it is not needed & scared to do the other recipes just in case I need them!! Thanks all.. p.s. cannot believe for once we don't have to collect 6000 odd items!! Much prefer this one.. xx

Thanks! I've been storing lavender as well, only making the SBC items with it if there aren't too many requested. Figured if step 8 went heavy on tea then 9 would be all lavender. Hopefully 10 is give grandma a hug or something equally easy and then we are done!

Yah we are...I'm not sure who I'm getting them from. Everyone is "bakery friend"...before this update, I could relog facebook and see everyone's names. But now, trying to relog resets me to level 1 and I have to go through the tutorial, then log on facebook...when I get my game back, it's still bakery friend, and I am missing 90% of my friends to request from. :( I sent in an email to support, waiting for a fix now. But it's absolutely ****ing me on this event. I can't even complete some of the secret bakers stuff because of this, I've only completed 1 since this event started. :(

I think I will have 1 tea left after finishing goal 8 in a couple of hours. But yes I can build that back up while doing goal 9. I have 38 lavender so I can work on that for awhile.

Guess they didn't like my suggestion that goal 10 be give grandma a hug....:(

Hey guys! Finally my game got fixed! And I'm wondering if I have time to finish the goal since I'm starting right now. How long did it took you guys to finish? FYI I don't have my game linked to FB, so no quick serves for me, I've been doing goals the old fashion way and I would like to know if is doable in the time left or I wouldn't bother. Thoughts?

I started pretty much right when the goal was released and I just started step 9 of 10 this morning. Everything takes the same appliance (all teas on the kettle and all lavender goodies on the same stove) so it takes longer to make things. I dont think anyone that posts has finished yet...

Awww sorry sweetie...But don't worry, I think you should be ok cos you have time to collect tea leaves while at goal 9 and that goal will take some time. However the bigger concern is do we have enough time to collect enough lavender for 10 lavender cakes for Goal 10? Goal 9 basically drains off the lavender supply so we need to wait for lavender, at least for my case. For others who are at Goal 8, don't use your tea leaves once you are done with the goal.

I am not so unhappy as this event is the first one I am actually enjoying as not feeling stressed to the eyeballs in having to collect ridiculous amounts like the last few goals we have done.. Long may it be like this and I will stay playing the game.. I was honestly about to delete it!!

Glad that you have decided to stay on! Sometimes this game is about having patience. :o Yap this event is much better, I didn't quite enjoy the orange event.

I am nearly finished 1 Lavender teacake & 4 Hibiscus tea to go and I have only received the one watering can the entire event which I actually haven't used yet as was keeping it for emergency!!.. I was using my quick serves every four hours for growing the roses as only needed to use one quick serve each time..

Yeah the watering can was a waste. I expected grandpa to drop one every so often or for it to be a mastery prize. One for the entire event is silly. Why even bother since the rose petal craft was essentially free (thanks for that!!!)

Thanks! I thought that may be the case but when i looked at the prize for step 2 it just looked like a gift. nothing specific. Next time I should read instead of skimming!

It's hard to tell what those little pictures are sometimes, especially when we dont know what all the items are yet. glad you found it. ;)

I don't think so? It doesn't look like any of the goals have timers and you actually get gems for having the different bushes. I'm thinking/hoping they're adding a new aspect/more recipes to the game. They're probably similar to the rose bush in this event though.

I think that it is an error of TL. We saw during about one minute(18h05 EST):mango tree pot, kiwi tree pot, ...
May be, it is part of the next event.

I wish the steps were a bit more balanced. Why do all the black tea recipes come at once? Why do all the lavendar recipes come at once. While completeing all the tea steps, I ended up having to clear out lavendar twice, because of lack of room to complete anything if I didn't. Now, I have no lavendar and am trying to complete all the lavendar recipes and now have to keep getting rid of tons of black tea. It is just frustrating. This happened in the last event too, where you just need tons of X, but you keep unintentionally stock piling Y, and once you get rid of it to be able to make X, you then need all the Y you just got rid of. :S A better blend of usinf X and Y ingrediants in each step would be appreciated.

Even better would be to have made the lavender and tea not count in our inventory, like the rose petals didn't count. RS2 does that with limited event ingredients so they know how to code it, lol!

I had stockpiled as much lavender as possible for step 9 and then I ran out with 5 meringues left to go....is now taking forever because of the restock time. I'm sure the same will happen with tea when I get to step 10.

Yay for finishing! I should finish later today if I planned my lavender correctly. I have enough tea so that won't be an issue.
Very much enjoyed this event, low stress despite the 4 hr restock time. Looking forward to starting the smoothies once all this event stock is gone!

I didn't foresee the step 10 being so demanding.

All goals requires rose water which takes 2 hours to produce.
30 X 2 = 60 hours and i have only 2 days (48 hours) left... I only have 1 mixer.
Good bye rose pop bouquet! :(

I LOVE roses, my fave flower, my grandma and I used to grow them together when I was a kid...she's passed away now for a long time, but every time I see images etc of roses, I remember that time with her. So I am SOOOO glad they corrected my game and I was able to finish this! <3

I know it's just decor now, but I wish they'd left the image with the roses grown.
If I put it out in the bakery, it shows as just an empty barrel, not a rose bush .
