i mastered rank 4 of pineapples and the gift that was shown to me was a girl gnome. but when i checked my inventory... surprise: there was a pineapple! no gnome...

It happens all the time.

Just shutdown your game (completely; make sure it's not running in the background) then restart the game. Your gnome should appear after that.
