A champion is a champion except for Rainbow Sentinel... I have used Gilded Knight a lot and he's a rare as opposed to Battlesteed who is super rare and they both win about the same. Both are lvl 15

When I first started in tournaments there was someone that posted as using a random champ and I didn't get it then and wanted to know which champ lol... Doesn't really matter which one you use except of course RS, wish I had Rainbow Sentinel..

A champion is a champion except for Rainbow Sentinel... I have used Gilded Knight a lot and he's a rare as opposed to Battlesteed who is super rare and they both win about the same. Both are lvl 15

When I first started in tournaments there was someone that posted as using a random champ and I didn't get it then and wanted to know which champ lol... Doesn't really matter which one you use except of course RS, wish I had Rainbow Sentinel..

I don't know what is going on but this tournament is starting out beyond wrong. I can't get through any of these first 5 dragons without losing 2-4 times. I'm shocked. Talk about throwing the odds completely out the window. Using dragons with 90 percent chance of winning and losing over and over. Not even close to getting them down. I'm not interested in doing this for 6 days. My lord. I've spent all day working this and I just lost for the 3rd time to a level 2 firestorm. Loving this nonesense.

ya'll think warrior queen is worth buying? I always see everybody using her in the arenas
If you don't already have a Champion or a few then by all means. She is a Super Rare with E type food pattern. Much less expensive than the typical Champion G/H pattern which will eat you out of house and home. I personally am going to pass due to my already uber fat collection of 13 Champions.

Up until Playful (14) came along my Fire 15 was my undisputed GOTO powerhouse. Now he plays first backup followed by Diamond 15 and Warrior Princess 14. Champions and Diamonds have a great reputation but my empirical data says otherwise about both ;-(

Hard to say, it's a dragon I do not currently have, so my interest is piqued. $15 value?? Up to you, and your island needs. L10, even better L15 champs make the tournaments a breeze. I'm passing based on what my husband said, the 15k food seems light.

What does the 'Light Food' have to do with anything? She is SR. I leveled up my Warrior Princess to 14 based on her battle performance and light food requirements. I suspect W Queen is equally formidable. I will pass because I already have 13 Champions and don't need/want anymore at the moment.

Yes, tranceplant, we know about your Fire. I've taken mine to 15 now and I use him judiciously. Of course, most opponents only get a one type advantage against the single types like Fire and Air etc, which gives Fire and company a bit of an edge. However, mine is not nearly up to your Fire's strength - although he did polish off Spirit Warrior and Skylord for me in the last Tournament.

Warrior Prince and Diamond are still leading my Top 10 list though!

Cursed Rose gave me a record 16 victories in the last tournament but I sat him down for most of these battles so far to strengthen my Electric dragon for combat. There's something going on with my arena lately. Just now I was fighting black pearl, I hit once and the bar went down a bit.. Hit again and it didn't move at all, same when he attacked. Then I got to hit 2 more times, last one being a critical.

Cursed Rose barely worked for me against Fire 16 but in past tournaments, I used another Fire, Atlantis, and Harvest. I hope one of them work for you.

Well 10 defeats so far against Warden, 3 L15 Diamond, 1 15 Battlesteed, 2 L15 Fire, L15 Aladin, L12 Surprise, etc. I was expecting this, I only had 1 defeat in the previous 19 rounds.
I do not record what I use but I do not use my A Team of level 15 dragons for the first 10 rounds, I use ones under level 10 and each win earns them a bit of food:D
For rounds 11 - 20 my I do get a little more choosey and must say my level 15 Fire Dragon has been kicking butt but lost twice against the Warden so far.
So going on past form I will expect to be on round 20 for the next two days expending my dragons and everyone's suggestions until S8 determines I have paid my dues when I will get a surprise victory to continue on this journey of patience.:p

i beat valiant with lv15 fire. as i see timer started counting down, i would think even after seemingly lagged a bit for game refresh, my battle result was registered.
but unfortunately, when i returned > an hour later, only to find valiant still standing in the arena..
now i am losing continuously....

even queen like previous caretaker here suggested failed. (mine is level 9 only though).

Warden went down to Valiant L13 bmb and when you get there Valiant went down to Diamond L15 bmb hope that helps a little:)

Stuck on dynasty any suggestions

I had a really weird bug (?) yesterday where my opponent attacked first. This never happened before. Is this something that can happen in certain circumstances? My opponent was still loading when I was in the arena and then that dragon simply attacked first and I only had like 20% life left. In the next round he beat me of course. I could swear I've never seen that happen before :eek:

For Dynasty I used Lord of Light bm, if you don't have it Siamese and Archangel would make great substitutes as they are black, white, blue as well. For Warden I used Cursed Rose bmm but good substitutions for C. Rose would be Supersonic, Pirate, Dame of Darkness or Sugar Skull as they are black, white and red. For Valiant I used Queen bmb. I suggest using your Royal family (Jack, King, or Queen) for that or if you're lucky to have a Gold dragon, use it.

Sorry, this post might seem silly to you really experienced players but I've looked and I can't find another thread on actually battles. I'm currently on level 20, lost about 6 times, with the your advice I managed to get past diamond. I normally give up around now as my dragons are out of action left right and centre. As I have NO dragon above level 10, is there any point in carrying on? And also how do you lot decide which action to use, why choose magic over bash etc etc! Sorry to be so unknowledable lol!


If at first you do not succeed try, try again. It has only been by preserving that I have managed to grow my dragons. I have won tournaments when they were below 10. I do recommend growing your Fire dragon as much as you can. He wins most of my battles even against champions. Look at what others have used, and try them, even if they are not the same level as what you have. Goodluck

Hey, can anyone let me know what's best for the diamond dragon (round 18), I don't have any gold, dimond or metal dragons. I have plenty of common dragons and a few super rare at level 10, it just ****ed of my fire dragon. I don't have anything above level 10! Grrrrrr

Lost 20-some odd times to Warden. My spa line was getting out of hand. I remember reading a post on here about using fire1 and if they lost just sell them. I decided I would do this with any duplicates. Threw a level 1 Air in there and took Warden down with Bm. I can't believe it.

I finally got Warden with Sultana! Saw someone else had used her so I tried she came the closest out of all the others I had tried so I kept healing her and took her up a level. Used Lightning while she was in spa and she matched sultana in damage but idk I felt like Sultana was going to take him out so kept using her! I think it was either third or fourth time but she got him. bbb was my first time and nearly finished him but won with mbb. My bash seemed to work better than magic.

It's certainly harder for me. I have battled several dragons 8 or more times. Need to quit tournaments and events to concentrate on leveling more dragons. It's nearly impossible to get enough food.

I see so many people using Diamonds in tournaments and losing like crazy. For me Diamond dragons suck in the battle arena and I've managed to go through the last 7 tournaments without using one. As I said before, try the black, white, red hybrids against Warden and use a Royal family dragon against Valiant - trust me, they work with the right fighting combo. My results are on page 12. I finished the tournament yesterday morning.

I beat Warden after a day of battles. I used Level 10 Athlete to get it. Valiant was defeated by my Level 15 Diamond and Nyx was taken out by my Level 10 Apollo in one Magic hit. They were the tough dragons for me this tournament but I will say this one has been faster because I was only stuck on Warden for a day while others were only below 5 attempts.

I am beyond upset at these tournaments lately. I have tried for 2 days straight to beat level 20, and I keep losing with my level 15 Diamond and a level 15 Dark Crystal, both Ultra Rare, in rotation. There is no reason why I shouldn't have beaten that thing by now. Ridiculous. At this point, I don't even have any hope of finishing the tournament. It's as if they are now making it so you HAVE to spend 30 gold on ultimate hits, or spend a bunch of real $ to buy a champion dragon. I haven't been able to complete the last few tourneys because of this BS. Ready to quit altogether. :(

I can't say that I enjoyed this one. I had a rollback on NYX and Comic, so it took the fun out for me, but after so much effort, I had to finish. Everyone's input is helpful.

I finished several hours ago, will update my full list shortly, but Gilded Night 11 captured Ember. Will be in storage for a while - just no free nests.

Was a pretty easy tournament really, I was just slow due to class commitments/study. Finished with very few losses compared to previous tournaments and only about three waiting for the spa (all from the Ember round actually).

Only had losses on 8 rounds, the worst was Dynasty with four losses - other than that, one and two losses only.

I did use Warrior Prince more this tournament than usual, for a couple of reasons: a) it just seemed to fall that he was optimal more often than usual and b) I was dashing hither and thither a lot over the tournament days with school etc, so was flying blind a lot of the time.

I normally struggle to beat the champions and higher levels. I have been changed my strategy to see which dragon is coming the closest to knocking my opponent out ( I screenshot how much life is left on them when they knock me out). If it takes me more than a couple rounds I look and see what colors are doing most damage and try to stay with them. If I nearly take a dragon out but end up 'dead' I send that dragon to spa and will reuse when they get out using different combo. I will try also to remember which move did more damage and lead with that the next time. Its not fun to constantly lose round after round and not finish. Trust me I know that. I've only finished two tourneys but with this thread and everyone's suggestions I know I'm getting better. I used to not make it past the first champ. Still may not finish but I'm learning. A lot of it is luck, also a lot of trial and error battling in the non tournament battles... The first tournament I participated in last summer was horrible with a lot of whining, moaning and teeth grinding by me, it was for Gilded Knight and I wanted him on my island in the worst way :) but I only had a few lvl 10 dragons and no diamonds. The people on this forum dragged me to the end plus I used 3-4 Ultimates because I knew having a champ would make a huge difference. I bred specifically for dragons I saw others using in battles and I planted crops like crazy to lvl up my dragons, some tournaments are easier for me now, but there are still times I use an Ultimate like I did on Passion a couple tournaments ago. Don't give up, it's good practice even if you aren't getting the Boss.

Yay! Just finished and I'm happily surprised with my results! Posted on page 2. Got Ember with Ghost Armor. This is only my third tournament win! Fog and Downpour I won also but had to use ultimate on Fog cause I got down to the last possible time. Ok sorry! Just so happy! :) Good luck to all those still battling!
