Aaaaaand my first attempt in breeding it got me the rereleased Godmother. I don't need any more of those.

On the one hand I can see that rereleasing the Godmother was part of Mothers Day, plus it gives you two dragons to go for with one breeding pair.

On the other hand, releasing a new dragon and then making it harder for you to get them by increasing the number of fails for that dragon is a real annoyance.

Oh well. C'est la S8.

Look at it this way: it wasn't for the event! We have a boosted breeding weekend and this gorgeous dragon we can try for. I caved in as well, lol...couple corals, another penumbra and a seafarer but I am still trying! <3 Best of luck to you as well. :)

missy, the roost actually at 50 gold is 50% off, it's something you buy in the market. Be aware though that you cannot sell it once it deactivates. For 7 days you'll have an extra roost though, and it's pretty lol. I have mercury and celestial on one, and aether and diamond on the other right now. :D

It's another breeding den that you recharge with gold. It's on sale for 50 gold and you can breed with it for 7 days before you have to recharge. Personally mine is just going to be decoration after it runs out :)

I got Deep Sea from Night and Magic! Thanks goes to belarica for suggesting black!! I did speed breed and hatch. Two corals, 1 Penumbra and 1 Wizard. I didn't have penumbra on this island so got two new dragons. Once I got Deep Sea I stopped speeding, didn't want to miss this one and boosted breeding weekend. Good luck!!

But, I didn't give up and decided to activate the breeding roost when I saw it was 50 gold. After another fail, I got 17 hours, but didn't say anything just in case. Just moved it and, yay! It's deep sea. So happy!

May I ask when does the breeding roost end its 50 gold sale? I just click the roost and see it costs 100gold for me!! And I just had 50gold at that moment, and I clicked the "activate " button, it actually activated again!! But I see my gold become negative amount!! WTH! It is now -50 gold for me! I also can't collect coins in my habitat now due to this issue! So weird! Someone please help me

If you use night (black) as one of your breeding pair you eliminate night as a possible fail. Belarica posted this earlier and it worked for me:) I used night and magic.
So far I've gotten Corals, Penumbra, Wizard, Illusion (on nest), Deep Sea, and a couple 12 hrs on roosts right now. Good luck!

I didn't have many blue/purp combos prior to trying for deep sea which limited my breeding choices. I've had godmother/mistmoth on the breeding roost all week. On the den, I tried beast/lotus, coral/lotus, and magic/lotus. Just switched it out and decided to try something different for the last couple of tries. Water/lotus, first attempt, 17hr timer, midnight (don't have) or deep sea? With only 1 or 2 attemps left, the waiting will be torture! Also, got 4 nights(new), 2 dark phoenix (new), godmother, penumbra (new), wizard (new), and about 10 corals. Still need blue and purple gemstones so I'm just as happy for the fails.

Had 2 breeding dens: countless corals, a Sea Farer 3 (!) Dark Phoenix's, 1 Celestial, 1 Wizard and 3 Night dragons. The Night dragons are welcome, as they provide small black gems, but really? 3 Dark Phoenix's??? And no Deep Sea?
