There are 2 different types of peppers. Red Chili Pepper that you get in the veggie market refreshes 1 hour 14 minutes. Cayenne pepper is from drops from Marco. Cilantro is in the veggie market and refreshes every 1 hour.
Taco seasoning takes 3 Cayenne peppers. Made on spice rack. Takes 30 minutes.

Hi! You can still do the first quest line Marco the Mariachi. The Americano tacos. They take 1 flour tortilla, 2 tomatoes, 2 lettuce and 1 of the spicy beef filling. The spicy beef only requires cilantro and beef. If you finish this quest it will still unlock 1 new recipe. Good luck!

i understand that fryer's one will disappear, but wht wd happed to mexican station's two when it's over?
will they stay so i can learn them when i'm at 55, or will they disappear too if i'm not there within 7days?

Americano Tacos, Treehugger Tacos and Baja Tacos will disappear when the event ends. The other recipes are permanent, if you complete each goal that reward you with them.

Tip: use simple spice on taco tasks or recipes. Use taco spice on other recipes which give you most servings. :)

I'm liking this one! The recipes are original and the taco cart looks cool. I also like that some of the goal lines overlap each other, like the taco seasoning ones. More bang for each seasoning made!

I am glad I'm not level 55 though....doing 2 goal lines for new recipes is hard enough. I think my brain would explode if I had to do 3.

Same here. 1 pepper isn't going to make the goal to make 5, 10, then 25 spices easier. I think he needs to be more liberal with how many he gives out. He has given me 1, 3, and 10 once so far. 1 is the most common for me.

Marco left 1, 3 or 6 Cayenne peppers each time. 1 or 3 peppers is a common drop.

What update changed the herb garden? I'm still on the Christmas version though...

Goodness but this is hard going with the mushrooms as if it is not bad enough needing them for the veg platter in Step 6 in Taco The Town is Add Spice to Stuffed Mushrooms which need 3.. I noticed in an earlier post it said Stuffed Peppers.. wish it had been.. I wish I had kept all of my master spice for the Taco the Town :-(

I have a question about the Veggie & the Beef Taco Platter Rewards. When you receive these do you need to have a counter available? Does it go into the Pantry under seasonal of do you need an open counter? I'm thinking the open counter and if so I better stash them or plan ahead before getting them. I still have two dishes left over from the last cruise plus I'm in the frying mode at level 54. Luckily I was not at level 55! I think if one hangs in there the reward of having another appliance like the Japanese Food Cart will pay off!

Also it's very hard t make the cayenne spice when he only drops off one or 3 peppers at a time. I'm now in the third level of grinding, and need 25 of them, hopefully he's more forth coming with them.

Extensive use of mastery spices. If you're high enough level, also the expert blend.
Also, it helps to check the street market a lot to stock up on extra ingredients.

I only have so much time on my hands won't be able to get all of the quests done that I can work on so I'm focusing on just one of the quest which is the American taco one, almost got the second mastery star and will try my best to get the last star if not will use my gems to least get the recipe so the stove won't be a waste to buy.

Didn't think this one was going to be too bad.but with only 5 days to go, I'm still 2 cookings away from mastering my first of three dishes! Even with mastery spice on everything, enough ingredients ( except for the stingy peppers from Marco) it's still going to be a close. Decided early on to focus on one recipe goal at a time just in case I couldn't finish and I'm glad I did that. Good luck to everyone.

To s8 and TL, I really appreciate the last few goals that mix things up and not make us wait around for 1 or 2 ingredients to make 1 item needed for every step. Much more fun with the variety.

Well this is definitely the hardest goal to finish yet. Mainly because it's impossible lol. I don't know how we are supposed to cook all these recipes so many times, even using mastery spice (already used 10) I don't think I can finish without using gems. Which is not right!! Could have at least givin mastery spice for the first two mastery stars on the three recipes.

Marco's items go into the special tab in your storage. space there is unlimited so it doesn't matter how many you have in there the drops are just random. I currently have room in my regular storage for 180 items but in my special tab I have well over 2000 items.

Hello all, I'm trying to stay with this game almost 12hours a day, some days even longer. But I have a feeling that I won't be able to finish this mission and complete all the recipe to level 3!?! Anyone have the same feeling or any tips to complete the mission?

I don't want to not able to complete the mission and the tarco stand left unused. 😢😢😢

If you don't think you can do both of the quest lines just try to focus on doing 1. Probably the easier would be Americano. With the different times I would set up an alarm on your phone if playing on that for every 1:30 hrs that will allow you to buy the items in your vegetable market and catch Marco every time. Beef is every 2 hrs to collect so that could be another alarm. I def agree with ellyse99 if you have the mastery spices use them on the tacos. Keep planting and harvesting as often as possible in hopes of scoring vanilla. If you focus on cooking just the Americano tacos you can still stock up on mushrooms and other needed veggies for the filling for the Treehuggers taco and cooking the filling. If you master the Americano you will then have some fillings to start on Treehuggers. Keep checking market whenever you can to see if it has any ingredients you may need.
Depending on how close you get & if you have gems. you may be able to gem through some stuff. The final mastery of Americano taco you can skip for 30 gems. Final mastery of Treehuggers you can skip for 40. You can look at all the goal cards that Becky has posted and see which stuff you can skip. I don't recommend skipping level 2 mastery because i did that once only to find that it cost me more to gem through 3rd than posted on the cards. I.e. If you skip 2nd mastery then when you get to the part to 3rd mastery what would have cost 30 gems will now cost 60. It doubled on me.

Please go ahead and use mastery spices! They aren't MSG, your dishes won't taste horrible just because you used mastery spice. :P
Or use quick serves to speed the cooking up so you won't have to waste as much time cooking. Like, flash fry them instead of using the slow cooker. :P

Americano: 5, 9, 16
Tree Hugger: 6, 11, 19
Baja: 4, 10, 17

To master all 3 recipes you'd need to cook 97 tacos.

At 1.5hrs each and 18 mins to learn the recipes, that would take 141hrs 54 mins of cooking time on the one taco appliance available to us. I think we were given 7 days to complete this goal. So if you were to cook for over 20hrs every day it would be possible to complete it without using mastery spice. If you need time away from the game for sleep/work/family it's impossible.

I have a large number of quick serves saved up, so as long as I can make enough ingredients I will use those to cook some tacos instantly. The alternatives are to use mastery spice or pay gems. If none of those are an option for you it's worth focussing on one or two recipes, so at least you get one of the final prize recipes to keep.

Like you, I am trying to do all 3 recipes. Unfortunately I've been away for the last couple of days with very little internet access. I've only made 25 tacos so far, so I'm a long way behind. Hopefully I'll be able to catch up a bit now I'm back online.

You only receive 4 tortillas from the final Goal To the last Grind part. Personally I'll opt out of that since it's much easier to just make the tortillas. I am working on level three of the Americana tacos. And will immediately go to the level 3 of Treehuggers. I freely admit I love Mastery spices! It's a must to complete these quests for me. I haven't used any gems but I could because I get them from my gem recipes :) I do think I've used about 6 or 7 quick serves this entire event. I haven't spent a ton of time on this. I keep a stock of mastery spices. Just check in every hour and half to collect and throw on new food, it only takes a couple minutes. There are still 4 days to complete! That's a lot of time.

IMHO mastery spice is part of the game just like all the other ingredients so go ahead and use it. That's the whole point of having it. In fact, I only use mastery spice for events. Mastery spice and quick serves are a big part of this game, they make cruise and event life A LOT easier. I spent the first couple of days leveling myself to 55 and still completed all 3 quests with 3 days to go. This wouldn't have been possible without them, especially the fish requirement for the lvl55 Baja Taco.

Event/cruises in RS2 are pretty much back to back so think of quick serves and mastery spice as giving you breathing room and stress relief :)

You have all garden slots? I'm jealous, I can't ever get enough shovels. I have about 4 more to go to be fully open.

I find I get about 1 vanilla for every 7-9 full garden harvest. Sometimes I only check into the game just to harvest, discard everything, replant for vanilla. And I avoid Creme brulee at all costs. It's actually easier for me during the cruises since my restaurant stops everything except cruise orders. So every time I make a cruise order, I check for vanilla.

I am seven Veggie Tacos away from completing the third level. This was one difficult challenge. However I am 3000 blue stars away from hitting level 55! :eek: :eek: I have all the fillings made. There are 11,880 blue stars and I am at 8,086!!

What would happen if I hit 55 before I finished the goal?? I haven't even unlocked any of the other dishes. Am I stressing over nothing? Should I bang out the remaining Veggie Tacos to hit the goal before the level changes using gems? Can anybody answer for me??? would I lose out on the goal if my level changed?

It will get easier. Even though you've leveled quite high in 3 months you probably haven't had the time to expand your pantry and shops enough to make things easier with the ingredient refresh times. This event was a breeze for me now but at 3 months I probably wouldn't have finished it.

Agreed. Unlike other people, I can't spend my entire day on this game. The past events, I was able to finish it just by checking on the game every couple of hours. This one, I had to spend 200 gems since vanilla wouldn't grow at all AND I was checking on the game every 3-4 hours or whenever I had the spare time. I barely finished one recipe last night until I decided to just spend 200 gems and get it over with. I wanted the recipes so this was what I had to pay for it. I'm a little bummed but not going to quit over it. I just hope the future events aren't as time consuming as this. It would have been nice if we got more time. I have maxed shops so I can't even imagine the hard time the lower levels are having right now.

Just finished! Got all three recipes. Had to use mastery spice on every step or wouldn't have made it. That's a whole lot is mastery spice! Used a few gems when I became impatient for a dish to finish. 6 away from finishing the grind goal. But that will depend on Marco and his pepper drops.

What I liked: fun recipes, used a variety of ingredients, didn't have to sit around waiting for stuff to do, random drops were pretty good

What I did not like: mastery requirement for one appliance was insane. Would be nicer if the mastery level was lower when multiple dish goals are in play and/or some of the steps could be done on other appliances. Otherwise overall, I liked this one better than any of the other new recipe goals I've done. Thank you

I am at level 54 and just now finished my final taco.Had I been at level 55 there would have been no way. I seriously don't think it was worth all the time. I'm disabled and don't work, so I can only imagine how hard it was for others. I was hoping one of the recipes paid out 10 coins to make it worth the effort. Had I know that the veggie taco was like the veggie pizza but 2 peppers instead of one,I would not have worked so hard for this. Cruises are less time consuming and you get a lot of cool gifts plus gems. don't feel bad if you didn't finish. At least I never cruised into level 55.

My question is do we have to make one of the recipes before it ends? I still have some filling made up that I'd like to use up and I don't want to tie the cart up for 3 hours. Any mods around that can answer. I can't remember if I made one on the Japanese cart before the time ended. Or any one else out there who didn't make one and still got the recipes???

I'm fairly new to this game anicak84, however I read somewhere in the game guides that 20 quick serves was the limit. Not sure if that's true, I got as high as 18. Maybe someone else has input. But I too hate this game right now. I need a break. I couldn't imagine doing the extra Baja tacos too. If a cruise hits probably be best to pass after this stress test. They keep planting vanilla in my garden, and it takes 8 hours. I've used about 10 gems on spices alone. I have extra filling and I'm tempted to leave it be unless Marco comes around. I'd hate to lose that extra coin over my veggie taco platter.

Three times today I've used mastery spice on tacos (one baja, two treehuggers), then sped up the recipes using quick serves or gems only to find the mastery spice has not been counted. Does speeding up the recipe make the spice null and void? I have mastered the Americano and Baja tacos but it now looks unlikely that I'll master the treehugger taco in time. I've lost gems and quick serves, not to mention 3 lots of mastery spice, and have had to make extra veggie mixes and tortillas because of this problem. The game often has 'hiccups' when I first enter the game, which means that I end up collecting my first recipe 2 or 3 times before it registers, and this may also be the cause of the problem. Whatever, I'm not very happy! :(

If it wasn't for Mastery Spice I wouldn't of been able to finish it all. I cooked all day, from 7am -11pm. No way I was going to spend money for gems when I've supported this game enough.

I play from 8am till 12AM, I cannot reach any lv3 for any taco!

Finished all three recipes to three stars. The event itself was fun but the amount of time given was not. To be enjoyable I think it should have been a ten day event and not seven. Or if they needed it to be seven days to fit into whatever is coming next ie a cruise, then the number of cooks needed for each star level on each recipe could have been lower. Either way, it would still have been challenging and fun but not a chore.

I have mastered the last recipe but im still at 2 stars for both the 1st and 2nd recipe.

Its not about the ingredients for me. I still have lots of extras and even stopped collecting ingredients. Its just that there is only one appliance to cook the items for 1.5hrs. sighs...

I haven't came anywhere close to finishing this event. I only mastered one taco to level 2, others were at level 1 haha. I had to use gems and probably speed up the process by using even more gems just coz I like tacos and would love to have the recipes! That being said I feel like longer event would be better, not like I would have a chance anyways, but it seems like numbers for mastering was quite high especially if we had only one appliance to cook. I actually managed to cook enough beef filling and roasted veggies, but I just kept forgetting to cook tacos and at some point I gave up! I noticed that recently they increased the amount of dishes you have to cook to master the dish to 2 or 3 stars, and since they did it, it became harder for me to finish events because I just lose motivation.
But I'm glad that a lot of players managed to finish this event or at least came close to finishing it! Overall I like the fact that we finally getting more new appliances and not just recipes for old ones :>

This was ridiculous- 5 days for about 90 recipes. no way i can complete. Several players said the mastery spice helped-how?

Mastery spice doubles the cook, therefore cutting the amount of times you have to cook something to master it in half. So if it asks for 10 cooks to mastery a recipe, by using mastery spice each time you then only have to cook the item 5 times. Therefore making most of these events possible.

Just a thought for future events. I realized early on that I might not be able to get all the recipes done, so I decided to focus on one recipe at a time to insure I'd at least get one of them finish. That might help take the stress off of future events that call for multiple goals to be accomplished at the same time.

Not sure how anyone could breeze through this without using a ton of gems and/or fast hands? Everything in my game is maxed out and I'm still working on completing the goals.

I don't buy gems and use what I make on extra stoves atm. Quick serves and mastery spice are what made all the difference with this one. I also didn't bother with the taco seasoning past what i needed to use for the other quests.

What ever happened to unlocking new permanent recipes with coins? It shouldn't be such a struggle to earn new recipes when that's all there is in this game.

They are certainly not impossible. I play my own level 60 character and another level 52 character. I have only a couple more tacos to cook and I'm done for both characters. No, I've spent no money at all on this game.

Finished with 8 hours left. Used about 20 gems to speed up the last cookings. The first three days were easy, but mastering 3 dishes to level 3 was very challenging!

I'm a level 60 and I've played heavily through this whole event. With 8 hours to go, I'm still only at two star mastery for all recipes with no way of mastering all three in time for the new recipes. I think this event definitely required the use of mastery spice, which I was trying not to use since I had already stockpiled the roasted veggies/spicy beef/battered fish needed and didn't want them to go to waste. I agree with previous posters that it would have been better as a 10 day event!

I just finished one goal, no way to finish tree huggers goal meed 18 more in 8hrs sooooo not gonna happen. Happy that i got this far but love my taco cart so much i think i might just splurge and buy the gems to get the 2nd recipe. Was a lot of work since they both are 2 step recipes glad im not a higher level no way i would be able to get 3 done.

No problems with my americano plaque but still no treehugger in storage. I cycle them out, keep the 9 most recent ones up. Its decoration....but yeah I have a ton in storage now.

supposedly the drops have to do with how much space you have in your pantry and also once I started getting the peppers I got less cilantro ..... and buying ti didn't help much

I could probably have saved on buying cilantro (which I hate IRL) and the other 2 extra ingredients in the veggie market. He drops way too much of those for me, my level 60 character has finished the quest with a surplus now of 95 cilantro, 93 peppers and 33 tomatillos!

To me its really really rare to collect vanilla.... even full collecting the garden EVERY TIME, now im totally out of it and only finishe the quest by spending 40 gems to finish the last 15 cooks to get the last star on the last taco dish... not very happy, usually finish things without spending gems AND with hours left :/
