While the outdoors is beginning to become inviting, we cannot forget about keeping the indoors classy. Once the sun sets and the parties head inside, you can treat your Customers to the fanciest Restaurant in town. This game is going downhill nothing good about it. Then I have problems with the game so frustrating.

The large piece isn't for me (too living room-esque) but I love the wait staff! It's nice to sometimes take a break from the fast-food stuff and run a 5-star restaurant instead. I think "classy" was one of the longtime forum requests too, so that's good. The floors, walls & black couch/chaise thing are all nice too, but i'm mostly hoping the waiters aren't too pricey.

Yawn!!! Only once a month recipes/appliances? BORING! Your going downhill S8! Next week is most likely a crate, so two weeks with no new recipes....I'm closing shop till we get new recipes! These games are getting worse and worse.

I love this update precisely because of the classy theme; hope it isn't too gemmy. A lot of these pieces will work for Christmas and New Year's or a formal wedding. Looking forward to tomorrow.

Actually I really like it! Fancy has been needed for awhile.

The only problem I see is if the booth is priced too high.
Because I would want more than one.

The chairs are new correct?
And I see a new black chaise or sofa too.
Hoping this isn't sky high in price.

I do like the fancy lounge a lot, I just wish it won't be gem heavy as I would like to change my theme from spring to 'stormy weather' LOL! & this would work really great! :D

I don't mind the lack of new recipes this week; it gives me a chance to catch up on the new appliances (and parts) that have been flooding the market as of late. There are quite a few recipes already that would work well for a black tie theme :)

I hope this one is expanded upon in future updates, or maybe even a goal. It would be great to see some well-dressed customers and perhaps even tables and counters to round out the theme :)

If we get the Jazz Band as an LTO this week, my month will be made ;)

I hate myself for buying boxes! So I caved in and bought it 3 times in an attempt to get the salad bar and got 3 lame prizes as usual... Ice bunny, spring cake display and potted sunflower.

Should have just bought the new lounge and done! I'll be strong next time, LOL! :o

well, i'm glad at least one waitperson is for coins! i think twin waiters and 1 waitress can probably cover a restaurant my size. they may have to hustle a bit though. although, i guess since all of the people who enter my restaurant turn out to be quintuplets, maybe it's not unreasonable that my waiters are triplets. once there's word on their size, of course.

i like that the waitress looks a little more dynamic than many of the characters.

Update on fancy waitpersons:

To be consistent with the sizing for avatars, the team has decided to make sure the avatar matches the same size as the host/hostess. This will be the size for all avatars going forward.

Not sure where you found that photo of the salad bar, but yes that's what it looks like. After seeing that photo I decided to roll the dice one more time & got it!

Not sure why the mushroom candy garden would be the #1 prize.

Does anyone know what the "Indoor Garden" or the "Spring Cake Display" looks like?

To be consistent with the sizing for avatars, the team has decided to make sure the avatar matches the same size as the host/hostess. This will be the size for all avatars going forward.

Thanks for the update, Kooky, but that doesn't solve the problem at all :( The problem was never with the size of the avatars; it was with the size of the new items.

Additionally, making the avatars bigger to match the new waitpersons will only make the older floor-decoration people, as well as the automated customers who eat at the restaurant, seem smaller in comparison. Unless S8 has plans to go back and enlarge all the other floor decorations featuring people (and there are years' worth of these!), and the customer sprites, it just makes no sense to selectively enlarge the avatars.

Is there any way the waitstaff can be made smaller? It seems like it would just be a matter of scaling them down just a bit. And, by extension, can the avatars be restored to their former size?

So are the waiter people in proportion to the dinning corner in this update or are they way bigger than it? Making the people suddenly bigger than all the decor isn't really a great fix. Guess going forward I will not spend gems on out of proportion people.

The indoor garden is also very small and plain. It's a two by two.
