Can't feed pets

I am level 60 on Android. I have several pets (dogs, turtle, chick, and a cat) and I've had them for a long time, but I can't do anything for them. I have 4 pet food made but the food and the bell is grayed out. Like 2 or 3 times randomly I've been able to feed them, then they wander for a bit. But it always goes back to them jumping (I assume meaning they are ready for food) but not being able to feed them.

When they are jumping drag the bucket over them to collect, then you will be able to feed them.

I have 3 pets and 19 bags of food but it's kind of greyed out. Can't use the food. I'm able to feed the livestock just fine.

When you pets are jumping up and down, drag the bucket over them, then you should be able to feed them.
