I actually like the Art Deco theme! Not so much the plane however.
Love the wallpaper, tables, wall sconces, dividers & fireplace!

I hope in future that S8 does more with this theme.
Bring in more color with the Art Deco. Just google and see the richness!
Stained glass pieces, more sculpture. Round benches in jewel tones.

I think some parts of this update could look really good as part of a theme. The key is moderation. Less is more.

I think the floor tile choice makes this look worse than something more subdued. Not putting a plane in my bakery though 😂

I like the look of the fireplace and wall sconces. Tables look kind of drab in the picture.

Agree that moderation is key with Art Deco. The plane decoration is a no-go.

Hopefully, the pieces will be for coins. If it turns out to be a crate, I will pass.

Yeah, I agree :) Love the style, but the colors remind me a little of the Steampunk update we had a while ago. Art Deco reminds me of Miami, so it would be cool to see Art Deco pieces in lighter colors, nicer for spring and summer. Miami's buildings are mostly light and bright :)

Silly me spent all my gems on last week's box sale which gave stuff I don't even like one tiny bit, shouldn't have spent it so now I could've gotten a fountain.

So happy the lotus fountain is for sale for those that don't have it yet/want another one. As for the rest of this update, it's personally one of the worst we've ever had.

I'm happy newer people have the chance to buy the Lotus Fountain. It's one of the prettiest fountains in th game. I got it two years ago during a Black Friday sale. It's definitely worth the gems to those who are undecided.

On another note, I hope we're not back to only monthly appliances for goals. A few years ago we never got new recipes. I hope it doesn't happen again.

Lotus fountain is a dream come true! :) If only they could release as LTO Parisian Street Lamps... but I don't know is there is a precedence, offering popular goal items as LTOs?

well.....we used to get 6 gems with new game downloads, now we get only 4. that's a 33% decrease on gem earning potential. (yes ok, gems from mastering new recipes not taken into account - cant be asked to check how many new recipes we used to get 1-2 years ago per month compared to now, anyone want to check that out?) and only a 20% reduced price? just seems like storm8 is trying to squeeze customers. the sales are great....but i havent bought a single item, either cause i didnt want it or i figured that the 20% discount was not enough to justify the item. bring out halloween and xmas and i'll buy....but most of the other stuff...not for those prices. i think last year or the one before lotus sold for 28gems????

Lotus fountain was offered for 35 gems in black Friday 2014. And the steepest discount we've ever had for black Friday (or any other seasonal sale) is 30% I think. So 40 looks fairly reasonable to me.

In terms of recipes I don't think we're getting fewer... it's just that they used to be in the regular oven rather than new ovens, so mastering them generally takes longer.

I'm happy that S8 is giving us LTOs throughout the year (the half priced boxes too)! Looking forward to fairy kitchen and 2nd box prizes to be offered ;)

Around a year ago we had the final prize for the cinco de mayo goal for LTO but I think that's the only time that happened, at least since I started in 2013.

I certainly hope that they released Parisian street lamps though... I had around 6 of those and they are very handy if you have a street in your bakery :)

Just don't build every new oven that comes out. I have tons of ovens I have never used. Someday I will probably be glad I have them.
