Great designs Flatfoot, completely not what I would have expected for Cinderella based animals (the colours especially) which makes me love them and the habitat even more!

I don't have anywhere near enough apples at the ready so I think I will wait a few days to start even though I really just want to get stuck in :D

An easy trick to create temporary room for a new habitat is to do the following:
- Sell your Evolution Flower
- Place the new Habitat
- Move your animals around to empty a habitat
- Sell the empty habitat
- Purchase your Evolution Flower back.

No runestones needed.

Really appreciate the heads up you've given us. Especially telling us what TYPE the animals are. This is so great to know when you don't have a lot of gems & can't afford the new habitat. So a very special thankyou 19sparkles96.

Well in 9hrs my onyx dire wolf breeding will be done as well as chapter 2 will be ready to complete in the a.m. after I harvest my 8 hr crops. So my best option will be to hold off on getting the direwolf egg on the nest and hatch the Cinderelka.

I want the habitat but will have to put it in my available space blue plot for time being I need 9 more runes for expansion hopefully I'll be lucky mining once I recieve the bombs from placing direwolf on the nest if not at least I have a place on blue until I do.

You plant crops any crop then harvest when you harvest collection is automatic. The longer crops yield more twigs.

Look at the post containing all of the tasks and plan out the next days tasks. A lot of things can be done early and you can use the time you are asleep to complete tasks as well. For instance, tomorrow starts Chapter 3. Act 1 is to breed an animal with a Pyro Pony. Try to ensure your Breeding Den is empty when you wake up. Act 2 is to raise Cinderelka to level 4. Once you complete Chapter 2 you have Cinderelka, so hatch it as soon as possible. Then feed it and Evolve it to level 4 as soon as possible (this can be done early). Act 3 is to harvest 6 crops of Adventurnips. You can plant those before going to bed if you want.

With proper planning, you can wake up in the morning, Breed a Pyro Pony with another animal, ACT 1 complete. Act 2 complete since Cinderelka already at level 4. Harvest your Adventurnips to Complete Act 3. Chapter done within a couple minutes.

Some of the other Chapters will be more challenging but other than breeding the proper animals at the appropriate time, they should not be that difficult assuming you have a food reserve to feed the animals.

I hope this helps.

Chapter 2 reward I got Norse horse blue x dark not Cinderella earth x fire??

The Norse Horse is from the World Traveler's World Event. Check the Storybook icon to make sure you completed Chapter 2. If you have, then force close your game and check your storage again once you have restarted the game. This is necessary sometimes to force the game to synch with servers.

I hope this solves your issue.

I completed Chapter 2 easy enough. Getting 2 Twigs per hour of harvested crop reduced the Twig collection time. I will have to wait for a Skyger fail to clear the nest to hatch Cinderelka.

Does any one know their common element? As the main page is stating one of them is water and fire which is not possible. And I'm needing to know so I can rearrange my animals so I can put all three of the story book creatures in one pen.

Or are the game designers now creating water and fire elements creatures?

According to the information provided by 19sparkles96, Fire is the common element:
Cinderelka (Earth/Fire)
Mouseguard (Water/Fire)
Prince Charring (Dark/Fire)

I saw that, but I though with there being a water/ fire animal that it might have been a transcript error as there have been no water/fire creatures as yet. So are the game designers starting to create water/fire creatures.

Thank you that is interesting to know, I read some where that you couldn't have water/ fire creatures. I guess I shouldn't assume that since there are no breedable water/fire creature that the game designers wouldn't make reward creatures with those 2 elements .

Yes, in FFS everyone does the same tasks in each chapter of the Storybook. I know quite a few on here play DS but I don't. I downloaded it and played around with it for a couple of days but it doesn't have the same appeal to me that FFS has for some reason.

Thanks, that's what I thought. I messed up on DS by looking at the tasks for the wrong level once. Plus there's a DS storybook right now. I started with DS but FFS is my favorite....animals are too cute and I like the creativity of the names.

So I need to go on another rant about storybooks for a second. I'm sorry if this will sound too negative so first I'm gonna start with the positives.

1. I LOVE Cinderelka and Prince Charring!! So gorgeous!! I can't wait to have them walking around in the beautiful habitat that was released for the storybook as well!

OK that's it for the positives lol NEGATIVES.

1. I extremely dislike most of the tasks involved in a storybook. None of them are beneficial to me at all. Firstly, all the "plant whatever" steps are a huge waste of time to me because I want to plant Charm Cherries or Nexus Nuts. That is it. Every other plant gives me way less apples for a longer amount of time so is extremely useless when I'm trying to harvest as much as I possibly can to get these animals that require such enormous amounts of food to get to epic level now. Secondly the "feed common animal such as Armordillo, Firefox, whatever" are also a pain in the butt because I already have these animals at epic level in my forest. So you're essentially just making me waste the food on feeding animals that I will just sell after the storybook because I already have them. This goes double duty with the "breed common level animal" tasks because I don't want to waste time breeding something that I already have when I could be continuing to try for something that I really want like the Direwolf.

2. I hate how the storybook makes you epic level the first two creatures you receive. In this case Im perfectly fine with making Cinderelka epic because she is beautiful. But the mouse, I don't even want to hatch let alone waste 95,000 apples on!! Apples I spent so long saving up for animals that I actually do love and want to see epic such as the new Travel animals we just got from the world event. I'm seriously considering in this case not even hatching the Mouseguard. This would mean spending over 200 gems to skip the steps involving him but I honestly consider that worth it to not waste the space (which I have VERY little of in my forest) and the apples I worked long and hard to harvest.

3. And third but not as important is the crazy fast rates that these storybooks are coming out! I know we just got expansions but Ive already used them all up and each storybook comes with a new habitat and 3 new animals! And I always want to buy the habitats because they are always so pretty and are limited but now I'm at the point where I have to sell grand level basic element habitats and place those animals in the new storybook habitats. This doesn't even alleviate the space issue and allow me to place the new creatures it just means that I get the new habitat before it expires. I honestly think at this point that TL should be letting us store habitats and also soon let us store creatures because its so unfair that players who spend a lot of money and play the game very aggressively are the ones who are forced to make hard decisions about which animals to hatch when we should be able to display them all or at least the ones we like over ugly ones that are "forced" upon us like Mouseguard.

Ok rant over sorry for the crazy essay guys lol PS on a positive now CINDERELkA WAS MY 300TH ANIMAL IN MY FOREST WOOT WOOT!

A 1 hour breed time is a pyro pony. It's just the hatching time that is shorted for pony and pandoffidil.
I haven't started yet, was getting as much food as possible before I start. So tomorrow it is for me. I have about 70 000 apples just now and will have more before I have to start. Love the look of the animals. I read the dear as Prince Charming the first time and thought of bambi lol. I never saw the cinderelka at that point

If you have the time, the best thing to do is plant apples and or pears continuously they will give you more food than what the higher yield will do. But it's soooo time consuming, I find it difficult personally but sometimes will do it for a short period of time just for a little boost before going back to the higher yield ones. Money is no issue for me so I plant back to back cherries and nexus nuts when I'm away from my phone

I will be so glad when I am in the position you are in....money not an issue. I'm getting close to being in that position but not there yet. I can plant charm cherries or nexus nuts MOST of the time, but with expansions and such, I can still run low on money at times. I believe in another month or so when I raise more animals up and get a few more habitats up and going I will be in that position but not QUITE there yet.

Actually it is the breeding time that was lengthened to 1 hour for both the Pyro Pony and Pandaffodil. Early on in the game, with some persistence, you could also breed an Emerald Dragon fairly easily using 20 second tries. For some reason, S8 decided to change the breeding time for both the Pyro Pony and Pandaffodil to an hour to make it more difficult to breed the Gem Hybrids. Unfortunately for me, I didn't breed a Crystal Unicorn until long after the change to an hour was made.

For those players that want to eliminate the Breed with a Pyro Pony quickly you can also breed a Pyro Pony with another Pyro Pony to get a Pyro Pony that will take 1 hour in the den and 10 seconds in the nest. If you don't have a second Pyro Pony, you can buy a Pyro Pony egg from the Shop for 100 coins and throw it into a nest for 10 seconds between breeding attempts to get one. However, you will need to Evolve it to level 4 (10 seconds) to use it for Breeding.

I am a new let's say player in this,I don't play very regullar,I am more off than on,but how stupid can it be???
in CH5 we need to hatch Plantlers, and in CH7 Armordillo, that's ok.but why do we need to feed them.I allready have those animals at lvl 15 and need to have another and feed him up,that's waisted food.at the end I don't need 2 of one kinde animal.like I have planty room to put them.expandin is so expensive......this is why I'm not playin all the time.

Sorry that's what I meant. Panda and pony both take an hour to breed. Hope I haven't confused people!
I remember when coins were an issue for me. I would finally get the coins to expand then need so much more to clear the obstacles! That was before I knew about this site so I was expanding blind! Try and make sure you distribute your animals well and collect coins as often as you can. And you are right, the more you feed, the coin production will go up. Although slowly for some animals.hope everyone is doing well with the story book, I need 1 more rune then I can expand and then clear the obstacles and place the new habitat! Woo hoo

I sacrificed some of my coins (I'm saving 10,000,000 to rescue Treent) and replaced 2 grand fire habitats with 2 grand dark habitats. Dark gives quite a bit more coinage and I really need all the gold I can get at this point.
I have often wondered why food can't be purchased with coins. The gem cost for food is way too high so my poor animals are suffering from starvation.
I expect to see the Animal Control Division or PETA show up at my forest door to close me down and confiscate my animals.

My bunny from last story book is still lvl 1 as well as norsehorse, the kiwi bird, the snail from tournment, the giraffe, even aries the last goal line animal and quit a few more. Can I ask a newbie question please regarding the storybook challenge.

Im new to the game, and this is my first storybook challenge. I have finished chapter 5 by using some gems to skip the delays in between each chapter. Chapter 6 has a delay of 2days 6 hours before i can get to it, with only 8 days left to get to chapter 10.

So my question is this, how can you finish a storybook in the time limit without having a lot of gems to throw at it? Am i forced to buy gems in order to finish this?

Rarely, is skipping the time to start the next Chapter early a good investment. The problem is that it does not accelerate the start time of subsequent Chapters. So to keep up your head start it costs more to skip ahead to the next Chapter. You are not skipping a delay, you are accelerating to the next Chapter. The subsequent Chapters still start at the same time, so either you wait or spend even more Gems to accelerate to the subsequent Chapters.

As far as finishing goes, if you wait until the next Chapter starts, you will be in the same position as if you did not accelerate at all. Most players can complete the Adventure in time without accelerating, providing they have enough food to feed the animals the Storybook requires. If I were you, I would just wait for the next Chapter to begin. You will be in the same position as most other players.

I'm also finding it very annoying having to breed for 3 commons, house them and feed them. I don't even have one Armordillo or Firefox in my forest because of space limitations and I have dozens and dozens of animals in storage that I would like to hatch and feed...

Did chapter 4 today and I really don't want to breed for a Plantlers now because I have a feeling I might waste a super rare... Not sure what I'll do.

Edit: Many don't seem to like the Mouseguard. I think he's very cute! I'm just very glad he only has a sword and is not wearing any human clothes! He reminds me of the three musketeers for some reason. (Would love a Three Musketeers themed Storybook, btw!!!)

Completed Chapter 4 with no problems. Chapter 5 should go relatively quickly. I already have raised Cinderelka to level 15 and I just bred the required Plantlers. The Plantlers will be ready to hatch between bedtime and the start of Chapter 5. Looks like I can squeeze in another breeding or 2 before I need the Breeding Den again for the Storybook.

I knew my luck would run out eventually. In the past, I have had no problems breeding a required animal in a storybook.....until now. First attempt seems to be a zombie. I'll make another attempt later tonight. If I can get a Plantler there won't be a problem. If another fail, well then things get a bit more interesting.

I love all the animals but especially Cinderelka. I also think the mouse is adorable and he reminds me of Puss n Boots. While I do understand about lack of room, I have lousy breeding luck so the storybook does allow me to get some cool animals. Actually, the world events bug me more because I hate having to be held hostage to my game.

Yes you can use any animal and in any order. One of the parents must be a Rock Rhino. If you want a short breed time(2 hours), you can use two Rock Rhinos as parents as long as you don't care that you will get another Rock Rhino as the result.

Food is such a huge requirement in this storybook. Cinderelka costs a fortune to feed. Which begs me to ask, why does she give so little coinage back per hour?
BTW - is she a rare or super rare animal? TYVM

Can you feed more than 1 Plantler? The one you bred and a level 1 that you already have?

You can feed any Plantlers in your Forest (or more than 1) when you reach the Act the at says Feed your Plantlers (the game can't tell the difference). You just have to be on that Act for it to count (you can't feed early). If you want to, you can sell your hatched Plantlers off the nest and feed the others in your Forest. Some players feed multiple low level animals to save on food.

Thank-you ninasidstorm8. I am going to hatch the one required and then I am going to breed and hatch another one. I must have sold the one I had or another animal ate it!! It is no where to be found. :(
I will never be able to finish this storybook because of food restraints. It kinda irks me that the cost of planting the food is so high and the return in food so low. I just get too excited when I see new animals I really like and am paranoid about the thought of not getting them. (Okay - I'm done whining now :D )

EDITED TO ADD: Maybe I should ask how much food it would take to feed a level 1 Plantler 20X. I may have almost enough to squeak by. TYVM for the help! :)

Since I am set up well to finish Chapter 5 easily, I started looking ahead to the next couple Chapters to plan out my strategy. Chapters 6 & 7 have a nice tie-in between them. Chapter 6/Act 4 is to Breed a Rock Rhino with any animal. Chapter 7/Act 2 is Hatch an Armordillo. Since an Armordillo is a Earth/Fire hybrid, both of these steps can be met with one breeding attempt. The one Step in between is to raise the Mousegaurd to level 4. The Mouseguard is the reward for Chapter 6.

My plan for these Chapters is as follows:
1) Near the end of the day on Wednesday (Chapter 6) Breed a Rock Rhino with a Pyro Pony to complete Chapter 6.
2) Put the Mouseguard on the nest to hatch when the nest is free.
3) When the Mouseguard hatches, feed it and place in the Evolution Flower.
4) Release Mouseguard from the Evolution Flower when it reached level 4.
5) Assuming the animal bred in Step 1 is an Armordillo, it should be ready to hatch to complete Chapter 7.

I am going to try to time things so that I can maximize use of the Breeding Den and Nest. The tricky part is that we have to breed with the Rock Rhino early enough to complete Chapter 6 and get the Mouseguard reward so it can be hatched and raised to level 4 in time to complete Chapter 7 on time. An Armordillo takes 12 hours to hatch, so it takes a minimum of 24 hours to clear the nest. I am not sure of the Breed time or Evolution time of the Mouseguard but I am hoping that between the two it's less than 12 hours.

If the first try at the Armordillo fails, I will keep trying to breed one and I hope to make up any lost time during Chapter 8. I am may modify this plan if a new animal is released as part of tomorrow's update.

Plantlers has a B feeding schedule:
Level 1-2 = 5
Level 2-3 = 20
Level 3-4 = 40
Level 4-5 = 100

So a total of 165 apples are required to feed a newborn Plantlers 20 times.

Me too, lucky first try. I used Little Fawn and Plantlers. I wanted to breed second one, for easy raising (low food) with the same pair, but I had I think 14h breeding time, still breeding so I don't know what's this.

Chapter 5 was one of the quickest for me. My dog woke me up just after Chapter 5 started (3 AM for me) so I started up FFS and entered the Storybook. Act 1 completed since my Cinderelka is already at level 15. My Plantlers had just hatched, so I moved it from the nest completing Act 2 and Chapter 5. Then I went back to bed.

You can do either. But, if you want you can try for armordillo as that's coming up in the next act.

I'm loving the Mousegard egg and description of the animal. It's 6 hours on the nest, if anyone is wondering.

Luckily, my breeding resulted in 12 hours. Hoping it's armordillo. Now that's a first!

Guess the only 12 hour one is armordillo.

I also got an Armordillo breeding Rock Rhino for the final step in ch 6. But there's a 15 hour egg on the nest now so Mouseguard hatching will have to wait.

(I seem to have a Spruce Moose factory going - I've got at least 15-20 of those in the past month or so. :p )

I just had the same problem as you! I started a day later so the hatch a plantlers step was due this morning and for the first time ever I didn't breed the required animal on my first try, ended up with a bamboon first and hedgehog second, both new editions to my forest so not too bad. At least there were only two steps in this chapter!! Good luck breeding that armordillo first try ;)

Since I had a 6 hour gap in breeding yesterday, I decided to hatch the Reckless Roc from an earlier battleground to collect 10 gems. It worked out well since the Reckless Roc was ready to leave the nest around the time Chapter 6 started. So, I woke up in the morning and started Chapter 6. My Cinderelka was already at Level 15 so Act 1 was complete. I fed a level 4 Plantlers I had 20 times to complete Act 2. Then, I hatched the Reckless Roc and moved a Punk Skunk fail to the nest to free up the Breeding Den. I bred a Rock Rhino with a Pyro Pony to complete Act 3. This completed Chapter 6 and I collected the Mouseguard.

My Rock Rhino breeding resulted in the Armordillo required for Chapter 7. The Punk Skunk will be leaving the nest in another 10 hours. When it does, I will put the Mouseguard on the nest. It should take 4 hours to hatch, then I will feed it and move it into the Evolution Flower for the first time. I will move the Armordillo to the Nest so some of the hatching time can occur over night.

This should set me up well for Chapter 7. It looks like I can get in a couple more Dark/Nature breeding attempts before going for the Firefox needed for Chapter 9.

It looks like at least the people posting are moving along well with Adventure, Good Luck to everyone participating.

Just an update on how I'm going with the Dust to Destiny Storybook Adventure.

Chapters 1 through to 4 were straight forward and I had no problems with them.

Chapter 5, l had no problem raising Cinderelka to level 12 as I've got a plentiful supply of food. As I had a Jade Kirin in the breeding den, I decided to skip the breeding of a Plantler, as I had one on level 8, even though it needs more food than a lower level, I don't have put up with fails.

Chapter 6. Again no problems with this. Already had Cinderelka at level 15. Feed my plantlers, evolved it and continue feeding it the required amounts of food. I decided to breed the Rock Rhino with the Piro Pony, since we need an Armordillo for chapter 7, this resulted in a 13 hr timer.

The one problem I do have is that my nest has the Jade Kirin egg in it now (23hrs left), so I'm unable to have hatch and raise my Mouseguard till tomorrow, which might set me back. I'm not to concerned though as I catch up.

Chapter 7. This starts in 6hrs. Once my nest is clear, I'll place the Mouseguard egg and hatch it, feed, evolve and feed some more. Since I didn't get the required breeding time for the Armordillo and I have one on level 8, I will skip through act 2 of chapter 7.

I'll update once I complete chapter 7.

Hoping everyone's storybook is going smoothly.
Good luck all.

Well even if my game is acting wonky, crashing constantly & in order to get into game I have to delete and reinstall EVERY time - at least I have been able to bred the required animals on the 1st try for the storybook. Currently have the Firefox breeding - I may have to fill the nest with something in between (might steal Nina's ideal of hatching the Reckless Roc and collecting some gems:))

Since I have all the breeding steps complete & my foodstock is fine - as long as I can get into the game, the rest should be smooth sailing:) As soon as the Firefox is out of the den, I'll go back to trying for Gem animals:)

Good luck all - not sure if there is a tournament that I'll do it (unless I really really like the animal) - just too stressful to delete and reinstall app every hour to battle:(

I am off to a slow start for Chapter 7. I cleared my nest of a Skunk Punk duplicate and put the Mouseguard on the nest to hatch. Then it was time for bed. This morning I hatched the Mouseguard and put in into the Evolution Flower. This allowed me to move the Armordillo in the Breeding Den to the nest. The Mouseguard completed it's first turn in the Evolution Flower to complete Act 1 and it is just about to complete its second turn in the Evolution Flower. The Armordillo has a little more than 3 1/2 hours to go before hatching but that is the last thing I need to do to complete Chapter 7. No Breeding required for Chapter 8, so I am going to try again for a Trick or Treent by breeding Dark/Nature. One 10 hour fail already.

A Firefox has a 9 hour breed time, so it takes 18 hours to clear the nest. So I plan to start trying to breeding it about 18 hours before the time Chapter 9 is due to start, which will be tomorrow morning.

Armordillo hatched to complete Chapter 7. Tried again to breed a Trick or Treent and bred my 5th Aurora Pegasus(16 hours) instead. I was really hoping any fail wouldn't be more than 11 hours so it would clear the nest before tomorrow's update. The Aurora Pegasus should be ready to leave the Breeding Den about 6 hours before the update tomorrow. At that time I will make my first attempt at the Firefox for Chapter 9.

Chapter 8 should go smoothly tomorrow. I have already raised the Mouseguard to Level 15. I plan to feed an existing level 8 Armordillo 10 times and then the new baby 2 times, so it will not need to evolve to complete the feeding the Armordillo step. I will sell the level 9 Armordillo when I need space, just like I sold my level 8 Plantlers amd kept the new baby Plantlers to make room for the Armordillo baby. My strategy with these Commons have been to keep babies and sell off the higher level duplicates when I need the space. That way I have a baby around if I need it for a Storybook or Goal Line.

In the meantime, I have put my Reckless Roc into the Evolution Flower for the second time, since I won't need it for the Armordillo.

The total food cost to get Mouseguard from level 1-15 is 96800 apples, so to get him from level 14-15 alone would cost 4800x5(feeding times) or 24,000 apples.

3 attempts at a Firefox have produced 3 long fails. I will try one more time, probably in the morning. If another fail I will have a decision to make. I can skip hatching a Firefox for 25 gems. The feeding of a Firefox 25 times in chapter 10 could be done with my existing Firefox which is at level 10. If I get a fail in the morning I will decide what to do.

Just finished Chapter 8. Collect from Farms part gives you about 1.5 Fiery Footprints per hour.

My Mouseguard is at level 15, so Act 1 completed immediately. I harvested 5 crops of Nexus Nuts and planted 5 crops of Mana Banannas to complete Act 2. I fed my Level 8 Armordillo 10 times and my new baby Armordillo another 10 times to complete Act 3. I then harvested the remaining crop of Nexus Nuts to get 8 Fiery Footprints. I planted/harvested Charm Cherries on the farms until I collected the 42 Fiery Footprints completing Act 4 and Chapter 8.

To start the day, I also moved my duplicate Aurora Pegasus (16 hrs) to the nest and made my first Breeding attempt for the Firefox. Nine hour timer with the first try, sets me up well for Chapter 9. The Aurora Pegasus will be ready to hatch in another 15 hours, so I plan to hatch it just before bed time and move the Firefox to the nest. This is the first time that I was able to breed all of the Storybook animals on the first try, so I feel fortunate. Looks like smooth sailing the rest of the way.

Good Luck to everyone participating in this event.

I've got good news and bad news in my quest for a Firefox.

First the bad news. I won't hatch a Firefox. Four attempts got me four long fails. So I've decided to pay gems to skip that act of chapter 9. It will cost 25 gems but we get a 10 gem reward for completing the chapter so it will cost me a net of 15 gems. I hate to pay gems for this but I figure 15 is not too bad. I have an existing Firefox at level 9 so I can complete the required 25 feedings in chapter 10 with that.

Now the good news. Even though I had 4 fails in going for the Firefox, 2 of the fails resulted in 2 super rares that I did not have. A ladypug and an onyx ox. So my disappointment is somewhat lessened by that.

After speeding up the hatching of the newest addition to my forest, the Jade Kirin, I placed the Mouseguard egg on the nest. The Rampage fail needed to wait for the nest to be free till I could try for an Armordillo, which I was successful, as if I got another failed breed time I was going to spend the gems to skip the act, as I had an Armordillo at level 8 and also I was behind in the story book. Once hatching the Mouseguard, I raised it to level 4. Then waited another 8hrs to hatch the Armordillo , completing chapter 7.

Chapter 8 started instantly. Completed acts 1, 2 and 3. I'm waiting on nexus nuts to be ready to collect the remaining amount of Fiery Footprints to complete act 4. I was also lucky enough to breed a Firefox on the 1st try. I'll get that on the nest in time to start chapter 9. The rest of the acts in chapter 9 should be done with no problems. Looking at chapter 10, they all seem straight forward.

I was undecided on buying the Glass Grove, as I didn't have enough gems. But the other day, I noticed that there was a gem sale (21hrs, thx S8), so I purchased gems and brought the Glass Grove Habitat to house the storybook animals. Really happy.

Question..... I have completed chapter 9. Can I go ahead and raise my Mouseguard up to level 15 now or do I have to wait until Chapter 10 starts? I don't want to do it now then find out when the Chapter starts that it doesn't count.

When it says "raise your (mouseguard, or whichever animal) to (15, or whatever level)", you can do that ahead of time. I always do that to get it out of the way. :)

Ch 9 done. I decided to pay the 65 gems (with the 10 gem reward) to skip the Firefox steps to get Prince Charring. Not too bad for a new animal I think.

Chapter 9 went smoothly this morning. I completed Act 1 by moving a Firefox to the nest. My Mouseguard is already at level 15 so Act 2 completed immediately. I harvested my overnight Nexus Nuts and planted 6 farms with Adventurnips. Harvested them 2 hours later to complete Act 3 and Chapter 9.

Chapter 10 should go smoothly. My Mouseguard is already at level 15. I plan to stick to my overnight Nexus Nuts and wait until the morning to plant the Adventurnips and harvest them 2 hours later. I have a level 4 Firefox that I will use to feed 25 times, so harvesting the Adventurnips will count towards collecting Fiery Footprints. I expect that we will collect 1.5 Fiery Footprints/hour of harvest time, but even if we only get 1 per hour, I should easily finish. Four to six crops of Charm Cherries should be enough to complete the task.

I hope you didn't feed it yet! It will not count. You have to wait to get the goal before you feed it.

Animals can be raised to higher levels before asked but they cannot be fed before asked.

9 hr to final chapter which will be 8am for me. Mousegard is now sitting in the evolve flower for level 15. I've just planted 6 lots of adventurnips ready to harvest when I need to. All I really need to know now is how much food a baby Firefox will need total to feed 25 times . I will have 12000 food in the morning so I'm hoping this is enough

The Firefox follows the B Feeding schedule. So it takes the following to raise it to the next level (5 feedings per level).
Level 1-2 = 5
Level 2-3 = 20
Level 3-4 = 40
EVOLVE
Level 4-5 = 100
Level 5-6 = 250

Total of 5 + 20 + 40 + 100 + 250 = 415. So you should have plenty of food.

I bread my rock rhino with Pyro pony and got the 12 hours needed, so tomorrow I will wait until the hatch an armordillo step and then move that over to the nest, so I realllllllllly hope I don't forget and move the armordillo to the nest to soon. (Iv done that before!) I have mouseguard on the nest just now so as soon as it's done I can feed it straight away and just take it straight up to level 15 then I don't need to worry about it. And leave armordillo there until needed!!!!!

Got my Prince Charring! :) I had two sets of rune prunes ready to collect (did the adventurnips on four farms so it took 2 hours since I had the first ones ready when I woke up) so that took care of the fiery footprints immediately.

Good luck to everyone still on their way!

I'm dissapointed that Mana Banana produce just 1 fiery footprint each. I have 6 farms but only 2 are large (I'm a new player level 20) I invested 52,000 in 2 lots of cherries and even those produced only 1 footprint each. I hope I can finish in time, already got a bit behind as I had a 4 hour flight this morning then had to catch up with sleep when I got home. Currently have 14 fiery footprints and I have 4.5 hours before we go out this evening so I'm running out of time!!! And running out of coins too. With hindsight I probably should not have done the story book, I didn't know what I was letting myself in for food wise, it's been tough for a newbie, but hopefully I will get there!

Congrats on getting so far as a new player! There's no way I could have done that back when I was new! Good luck for final chapters. I'm not at the collecting point yet but it normally averages out you get 1 item per 1 hour of planting time, hope that helps for the future

I hear 'ya litabelaqua! I too will never finish because of a food shortage. It's a bit disappointing but I figure another animal will come along soon and that will soften the blow. I got the Mouseguard and he was the animal I wanted most.
I used some of what little food I had to level up my frog to the second star. He's cuter than the Prince anyways. :D

Just to let everyone know, we are getting approximately 1.5 Fiery Footprints per hour of crop time in Chapter 10.

I decided to keep Chapter 10 simple since I have the time. Mouseguard at level 15 already so Act 1 completed. I harvested my overnight Nexus Nuts when they were ready and planted the 6 crops of Adventurnips. Two hours later, I harvested the Adventurnips to complete Act 2. Then I fed my Level 4 Firefox 25 times to complete Act 3 (so I didn't need to evolve it). I have planted 6 crops of Charm Cherries 3 times so far. I have netted the following from the 3 planting of Charm Cherries so far:
First 6 crops: 11 - Fiery Footprints
Second 6 crops: 8 - Fiery Footprints
Third 6 crops: 8 - Fiery Footprints

So I have 27 of the 48 Fiery Footprints needed to complete Act 4. Two to three more sets of Charm Cherry crops should be enough to finish off this adventure.

I got the Prince Charring! I had 31 out of 48 fiery footprints, then my last harvest of 6 mana banana produced at least 17 fiery footprints which was odd as I was getting 6 or 7 for a harvest of 6 up till then. I hope the next challenge is a little while off yet as I need time to consolidate and build up supplies and also feed and grow some super rares

I am waiting for a last bunch of Charm Cherries to ripen to give me Prince Charring but I still have plenty of event time left so no worries on that account.

For me this was actually the easiest story book event so far, probably because from previous events I've learned to store plenty - and I mean PLENTY, really :) - of food and also not to start as soon as it becomes available.

And a huge thank you goes to players and mods who post about the requirements for each day: you're my angels!

Good luck to everybody who hasn't finished yet and have fun with the new animals, those who have.

Well, I'm on the hatch a Firefox step on both my accounts. Furst attempt in main account gave me an ember bear. I bought a gem pack the other day so I sped that straight of the best and luckily got a Firefox but need to wait for that to b moved to do the rest of this chapter, since mouse guard is already at level 15 it will only be the adventurnips to do. My second account got a 14 hour which will b a hot dog which is new for that account but I don't spend gems on that account and it's quite late to b falling behind so we shall see how this works out! I might speed a few hours but not sure yet. At least my main account was able to get slightly bk on track although I could now b cutting it close

I finished this a few hours ago. Done pretty well with everything, got a little panicked with the Firefox when I didn't get it first try so that set me back a bit and so close to the end could have made it hard to catch up but it all ended well. Now to get food supply back up and get prince charring out. I dont know about anyone else but I always feel sorry for my third story book animal. The first two you have to make epic, I hatch the third then get it to between 4 and 10 then go back to doing the animals I really want to level up lol!
