This is a very pretty animal.

You won’t have to beware this fearsome canine when you welcome it to your Forest. This creature is bathed in shadow and has a tremendous howl, that when goes up in the air, it stays there. This one most certainly made my day too! Gorgeous creature and I also love the GOT reference!
And it's definitely about time for my breeding luck to turn around soon (no new to me animals for way over a month, ugh!) so this would be a great timing for that! :D
First attempt of Jasper (L15 Crystal Unicorn) + my L15 Skyger: 7 hours. :D
I sped the Frostfang egg off the nest and put the Norse Horse on it as overnight hatching. That way, I can catch up a bit for the world event and it's a gorgeous animal. There's not much speeding I can do to catch up with the event, so I may have to do something drastic like switching the Rune Prunes and setting timers. Whatever gems I'll spend on catching up will be used for hatching some animals from storage, which IMO is the most positive way to gem-get additional tickets.

I thought I would put in some speed breeding and on my fourth try got another Obsidian Cyclops :( thats the worst part about trying for a secondary gem-hybrid if you already have the first one

What were you using as parents? The Onyx Direwolf is Gem/Dark.

Is this one 45 hours? If so I guess I have a 50/50 shot.

I would bet it's a Jade Kirin though, since for the previous Gem hybrids the timers were different between the two animals with the same elements. My guess is that it will be 48 hours for the Onyx Direwolf.

That would be fine. I have no Jade. You are probably right. I'll bet it has a 48 hour like the Garnet Griffin

What were you using as parents? The Onyx Direwolf is Gem/Dark.
WOW for some reason I was thinking Earth because of Onyx being a stone. Definitely messed that one up lol

Nice! I love this animal! Even better, now that I finally have crystal unicorn, I can actually try breeding one! I love how they went almost full black with it too, very cool looking and sharp! ^_^ I think I'll try CU with dark/nature combination for a while, since there are still several dark nature creatures I would love to get as well.

I haven't been successful yet (nothing but planthers). I'll continue breeding my Unicorn, Mycah, with a dark/nature hybrid and hoping that I might be lucky and get one of them soon.
If your only aim is to "force-breed-out" either gem-nature and/or gem-dark hybrids, and if you don't need any of the nature-dark outcomes, it's far wiser to breed your Unicorn with the Pandaffodil (1 hour fails) or with Skyger (7 hour fails). That way you can get a lot more breedings done in the same amount of time.
For that very reason I've been doing Unicorn + Frostfang breedings the past 1.5 weeks or so (unsuccessfully), and I now decided to not use dark-water as breeding partner for my Unicorn at this time, but rather I'm staying on the Unicorn + Skyger formula for the moment...

I've been doing the same. Btw dark-nature-gem & earth-nature-gem.
The only other gem mixes I currently have are 1 water/gem & 1 fire/gem. Maybe I'll switch to single element force breeding for a little too & see if I can get the breeding going. I actually picked up the last 2 new animals in my attempts (tree frog just yesterday), so hoping I have the breeding gods on my side. Really was just hoping for that long timer;)

Thanks for the suggestion and breeding wisdom. I do have most of the dark/nature hybrids, so im taking your suggested breeding formula. I'd rather the short fails than seeing a 10 hrs fail continually (did manage to breed the Spring Wing). Good luck to you in breeding the Onyx Direwolf. :)

EEEKKK!! speed off a skyger and the breeding den before bed last night and managed to pull that 43 hour timer!!! So excited :) Combo was Crystal Unicorn and Skyger. Took 7 tries.

Just finished day 5 of storybook, just put a bansheep (18 hr) in the nest & thought do I leave the den free for the breed rock rhino part coming tonight or not. Thought no, need the explosives, so put in unicorn & skyger expecting skyger, got 45 hr. Stuffed up my storybook a bit but very happy to get the Jade Kirin. I have been playing since the beginning and got the unicorn about 2 years ago, very happy fail as I only have the unicorn and 2 Ruby Razorbacks.

Been trying with double element & CU for a while. After update today, decided I would just try Skyger LVL 15 & CU LVL 15 & finally got my 1st dark gem hybrid.

I finally get my Onyx Direwolf, it has lasted so long and now I have to sell an animal again. It is a pity that we can not build any more habitats.
