Prize: *Super Rare* Orangubang (Electric/Fire)

Recommended Fighters to Use *

* The following are recommended to help choose the ideal fighter based on tested strengths/weaknesses, as well as highest rarity. The theory behind choosing an ideal fighter is that an animal of higher rarity may have better odds of landing a 'Critical' against an opponent when using an attack that normally registers a 'Strong' hit. It is also theorized that a high-level fighter may have better odds. It's not a guarantee to win with one of these fighters, but it may increase your odds. Note that ANY animal of ANY level or rarity has a chance of landing a winning 'Critical' using ANY element (even 'Weak' ones).

This is getting a little ridiculous. Already more losses than wins and I haven't even seen a level 20 animal yet. Nine straight rounds were I lost the first battle. I know that has ever happened to me before.

Well we wish you luck Tiffy. Took me 2-3 months to win my first after joining. As you acquire bigger and better animals they get easier. But I wish all the luck. May the force be with you! Battle with the correct elements and it will help.

now, up since 7, and 3 losses against aquatter with Crystal level 15......

Got past it on the next round thank goodness, with these 18 round tournaments it's like you take one step forward and two steps back!

You can try a Reindeer (xMas/Nature) if you have one. Otherwise, just avoid using Dark. Fire, Cosmic and Skull. Good Luck.

I came back on here to ask the same question as above...who to battle against Saintly Bernard since I have no music or treasure creature! ?!? Don't have a Reindeer either. First try, I knocked out that pup with my epic level Grassquatch using earth! Thank goodness! Was worried I'd be stuck on another round again!

That's crazy, sorry to hear that :( I hope the large update on Tues might address some of these issues, it seems to happen to quite a few people. Do you visit a neighbout after each tourament battle? I've heard that helps to prevent the rollbacks sometimes but not always.

14 lost so far to Crystal Unicorn and seems will never be able to get past it. Since this game started l have never lost a tournament except the previous 18 round tournament and obviously this one too.

This game is becoming more ridiculous day after day. I don't know why I'm still playing it. I should have quit it long ago like other veteran players.

8 tries for CU Level 20 with Trick or Trent at my second account and no luck until now.
Correction: now 11 hours since I tried to beat the CU. Game over I think.

It was quite a struggle but I beat the Orangubang on the first try with my level 15 Obsidian Cyclops to finish with a record of 18-23. I had at a least one loss in each of Rounds 9-17 which accounted for 21 of the losses. My worst round was the Round 15 Crystal Unicorn with 6 losses. See Post #2 for details.

Fingers crossed but so far through 10 rounds this tournament has gone relatively smooth. The only problem I had was with the Bead Steed. I think it took 4 attempts to beat it. The rest have gone down on either my first or 2nd attempt.
I spoke too soon. The Ice Gator and Barn Owl proved to be very difficult. One took 8 tries and the other 7. I completed the tournament, but it wasn't without some difficulty.

Well after four rough battles, I finally took down the Orangubang with my Grassquatch (aptly named Squatch), using earth element. But with only 8 hours left in the tournament and a 17 hr hatch time, this means AGAIN that I win the creature but won't be hatched in time for me to win the food and stars. This makes no sense to me....if you win the dang tournament, then haven't you earned the goal?? Ugh. Anyway, congrats to all the winners and good luck to those still duking it out!

I thought I'd never make this one because I had so little time to battle this weekend. But then I beat Crystal Unicorn and River Runner on the first try. It was already way past midnight here so I sped up Petite Panda by half an hour and won that on the first try. So I had to go for the final round! Sped up and... lost (but of course!). Sped up again and my Glacial Griffin made short work of the Orangubang! :)

Well, I have spent all day on the Ice Gator with 45 minutes until the next battle and 1 hr 45 minutes left in the tournament. I have yet to beat the 18 tournaments and I refuse to spend any more gems on them. I tried every suggestion, multiple times, even with level 15 Ultra Rares, to no avail. I am resigned that the 18 battles are just not in it for me (especially since I spend most of my time at church on Sunday's). The only way I could chalk up a win on these is to spend, spend, spend. So, I have decided not to try to win, but from now on just play casually getting what I can with no pressure or loss of gems. After all, it's just a game...right?

I decided to do this leisurely to try to get passports. I finished on my main account but I had to speed the last few rounds due to time. Congrats and good luck to those still trying.

I have been playing this game since it was offered to those playing CS. All the ones I use for fighting are lvl 15. Wasted about 20 gems for retries. Still 2 to go and 15 mins left. First tournament I have lost. I have all the rest, but some still in storage. Very disappointed. It's time to stop and concentrate on getting my gems back before the next zodiac habitat goes on sale. Shouldn't have spent any gems, didn't like the orangutan, but didn't want to miss any tournaments. Should have realised when I lost 3 times on the first battle. Still being from NZ, getting the Kiwi in the world event will be great.

Wow first tournament I ever won.. Had to use the little gems I had to speed up a few rounds to finish on time. Congrats to everyone that made it through as well

I made it halfway through and called it quits. I am not a quitter - time was my issue. Between prospective buyers for my campground/bar/restaurant business and grandchildren's needs, I was at my limit - maxed (and stressed) out. To be honest, I didn't care much for the Orangubang.
There's always next time :)

I find the 18 round tournaments so stressful and only two and a half days to complete them! I got to the Orangubang and had 11 losses and was about to have my 12th so I just used 30 gems for the ultimate attack which was so annoying, why so many losses on one animal? I'm not even crazy about the design but I'd gotten so far I just went for it :(
