Hey everyone!

We were experiencing a lot of errors as a result of fixing how we were dropping decos from the Bronze, Silver, and Gold Hunter Trades. We'd made the fix to clean up the visual experience of getting decos from those trades, however that version doesn't handle rewarding more than 1 deco very well. Thus, we've reverted the change on the Bronze and Silver Hunter Trades - the Gold Hunter Trade should be fine, since it only ever drops 1 deco at a time.

This means you'll see a giant thumbnail image burst out of your Trade Wagon if you get a path, wall, or hedge from the Bronze or Silver Hunter Trades ^^;;; But, you'll get the proper number of decos :)

* Cooking Camp - 99 gold tokens
* Princess Lorelei's Fountain - 2 Blue Sapphires which are 10 gold tokens each to purchase. The Fountain drops gold tokens only during monster hunts.
* Cabbage Hut - 70 gold tokens
* Ornate Locket - 5 gold tokens
* Mythic Research Center - 70 gold tokens


Q: Will these crafts (as listed below) be available in the Trade Wagon after the season finishes?
A: Yes!

Q: Will the token trades will be available out of season or will the trade wagon be emptied of everything once event over?
A: No. The Bronze, Silver, and Gold Hunter Trades will remain during Monster Hunts only.

Q: Will the Beastbane Display will drop items out of season?
A: The drops are the same both in and out of Monster Hunt seasons.

Q: What Tokens drop from the Beastbane Display?
A: Gold tokens, staff tokens and sword tokens will drop in and out of season. Shield tokens are not a drop from the Display.

Q: Will the Ornate Locket trade stay in the trade wagon and in our quest book after the event?
A: Yes. It will stay in your goal book until you have purchased the locket with tokens.

A: You can purchase 1 in the market for 450 gems and you can get another one through the trade wagon.

Q: What if I don't already have a Cabbage Hut? Can I still get one?
A: Yes, you can get a cabbage hut through the trade wagon or in the market for gems.

Q: Do I have to purchase the one in the market first?
A: No. The trade wagon provides an alternate way to get the cabbage hut.

Q: Will the Cabbage Hut trade stay in the trade wagon after the event?
A: Yes. It will stay in your trade wagon in and out of seasons until the craft is complete.

Mythic Research Center


Q: Can I have more than 1 Mystic Research Center?
A: No, just one :)

Q: Will the Mythic Research Center trade stay in the trade wagon after the event?
A: Yes. It will stay in your trade wagon in and out of seasons until the craft is complete.

Q: If I have the Centre, can I still craft glimmer alicorns and glimmer dragons?
A: Yes, if you have the resources.







Legendary Trap


Q: How much are they?
A: 25 gems each. They take 1 chop and spawn a random beast (Blue Dire Boar or Purple Glimmer Golem).

Q: Will the Legendary Trap will drop tokens out of season?
A: No. Tokens will only drop in Monster Hunt seasons.

Q: Will the Legendary Trap spawn monsters in and out of season?
A: Yes, but you will not get tokens out of seasons. You do have a chance of a gold troll token in and out of season.

I'm sure she does for some and it's ransom. I can say I've collected quite a bit since last season with an exception of being out sick playing and I have yet to get a single gold coin from her. The new trades will appear after you do 1 of any trade in the Trade Wagon. This is so that players who are hitting Monster Hunts for the first time aren't bombarded by a dozen quests and dialogues all at once!

Please let me know if doing any trade doesn't work, and I'll look into it :)

Me too..I don't really need another kitchen. I was 4 gold token short of the cooking camp at end of last hunt and was a little bummed..now glad so I can get the "new" building.

As far as the training dummy goes tho, it's weird that Trader J'oul (who is adorable, btw - and needs to be Kaz's girlfriend, pronto, lol) doesn't have a statue for us this season.

All I have known so far is that u must have to buy beastband statue to get coins regularly, then the animal craft thingy will be useful and working otherwise u won't be able to craft new animals without coins, not very happy:confused:

FYI. The troll coin description says you have to complete a sovereign hunter trade to earn one. The only way to get one is a gold hunter trade though.

Ps. Lorelei's fountain just dropped a troll token. It's not every time, but I'll take what I can get. Now if the lucky workshop would only live up to its name. :rolleyes:

I have been doing Monster hunts since the very first season ONE YEAR AGO and still only have 87 gold tokens. If this is your first season, don't expect to get center right away, it may take quite a long time.

Troll tokens do drop during hunt seasons. It refreshes every 5 hours and I'd say drop rate for the gold tokens is about 25%. It's worth to keep collecting in my opinion. Good luck!

I had the Lorelei fountain the minute it came out - I won the sapphire in the November challenge. So this is the second challenge I've had that fountain through. I never got a single troll token off it through the last challenge, either. It's useless to me. I'll write if one actually shows up. But I wouldn't waste my energy getting one.

I've been playing for awhile now and I've only got 43 tokens so even if you've been playing awhile I doubt you'll get the Mythic Research Center. I didn't win the tokens in the Christmas challenge, either - I don't have much luck with tokens. But I'm glad they put it out and for only 70 tokens - that's much more practical.

Ive been playing a while but most likely forever ago, and came back right around after valentines day if I remember right.
Im lvl 33 now.
I had a trade wagon (had no clue wth it was for, I stored it forever) now that this event is on, i understand and I placed it back in my castle.

Now, Im trying to understand this right.
The Lorelei fountain quest has been sitting in my quest log forever, now, things are starting to make sense.

Now, the only way I can obtain gold coins is doing the Golden Trade correct?

Last night I gave in and purchased the 4.99 special for 250 energy. ****ed my glimmer goblin (clicked my horses) and the blue boar (dead tree spawn) and im working on ****ing 5 skunkupines for the Notive Challenge.
For some reason now I cant for the life of me make a skunkupine spawn!! I planted so much wheat (over 50) and collected all and im stuck on 3/5 for that Novice goal. is there anything im doing wrong?

This is pretty much my 1st time doing this event, its so confusing to me.
What can I do to get gold coins faster?

I tried the horses I had on the board, and none spawned the golem. Looking on the front page here, it says the gem horses won't work (Sir Daisy is considered a gem purchase, who knew?). So now I have a brown coin horse out to lure the glimmer golems. ;)

Totally agree. I never seem to be able to finish that part of the monster hunt unless I use traps! Any other time I can't move but a beast pops up!

With every thing basically on a 22-24 hour rotation it seems that there is just so much a person can do- without spending gems to speed up which I do not do I just basically depleted my gold so will see how it progresses from there. I know I basically just concentrate on the gold trade.

No, you are not getting them. None of us gets them. They removed this prize - now we get tokens for completing the tasks.

Yes I think so. I get a gold token from it every other drop at least and very quickly built back up the cost of it and then some.

Before if u didn't completely defeat a beasts whether it was the dire or the purple g u could wait until time was up. The goal in the book would stay open as long as u did not press finish even though time expired so u could keep respawning the same beasts over and over through out the monster hunt. U would loose out on the energy crates though. But if the goal now just expires and goes away without having to press finish this option is no longer available. :/

But last night I still needed 3 beasts to complete the novice challenge. This morning the challenge was still there and active, and I managed to trigger 3 fangbeasts, one from the jousting arena, and two from quick-collecting eggs. The goal then finished and I got the coins. (The beasts are definitely aware that it's hunting season! They are all in hiding.)

To answer the question of when the new daily challenges appear... For me it's usually roughly 24 hours after I opened the first one. So I'm expecting them at around 4 pm S8 time (pacific? I think) or about 6 pm central time

I had the Lorelei fountain the minute it came out - I won the sapphire in the November challenge. So this is the second challenge I've had that fountain through. I never got a single troll token off it through the last challenge, either. It's useless to me. I'll write if one actually shows up. But I wouldn't waste my energy getting one.

I've been playing for awhile now and I've only got 43 tokens so even if you've been playing awhile I doubt you'll get the Mythic Research Center. I didn't win the tokens in the Christmas challenge, either - I don't have much luck with tokens. But I'm glad they put it out and for only 70 tokens - that's much more practical.

I get tokens off it every second or third collection..

I wonder if this may be the last monster hunting season or that it may be winding down soon, as the the new Breastbane display offers drops of tokens, even when monster season stops. This causes me to think about the possibility that the trade wagon may add other items for trade, as we've just seen the addition of the mythic research center. Any ideas?

I really hope it's not last hunt as I and many others refuse to pay 400gems just to progress in what was a free game! This would force players to Pay to Play which is unacceptable! I for one will not be purchasing and as much as I love my kingdom and friends ive made I would leave and I know many others feel the same! Fangbeasts seem to love my glimmerchicks! They also spawn from the Glimmeregg Bunny.

Last season, I planted cocoa and made loads of chocolate to make sundaes to make sweet feasts. That spawned quite a few dire boars. I'm still working on my last expansion spot and continually do the dairy/egg trade, so I tend to get quite a few fangies from my cows and chickens.

Don't forget to collect from the L5 arena daily as well. Can help towards the daily novice goal.

They always say they don't change anything, but during "regular life" in my kingdom, I actually hope for the trader days again just to quit having so many monsters. And sure enough, right now I can collect all kinds of stuff around the kingdom without monsters interrupting. Hmmmmm...

My question is whether the opportunity to build the research centre will remain after the monster hunt. I'm a mere android user, too new to have the beast statues, so my chances of getting 70 gold coins in 10 days is next to nil. I didn't even manage the fountain last hunt, which was only 20. Even using all my energy for monsters I doubt I can earn enough. The beast bane thing drops a handful of tokens daily, which isn't going to make enough difference to get me the research centre.

So if the centre can only be built before the end of the hunt, the 400 gem beast bane becomes useless.

Does anyone know? Or have any suggestions?

Haven't done the locket yet , well we need it later down the line , will it stay in the wagon and in our quest book after the event .so if we need it we can do it if we have the 5 gold tokens in there too, really who has the extra 5 trill tokens when they want the research lab and Ali's

I've added this to my report. Hopefully one of the players who have this building can help you find out which one it is. Check your in-game profile screen, the tab on the same screen as your wall. What counts do you have?

here's the limits:
You can have 43 Royal buildings.
You can have 40 Town buildings.
you can have up to 2 resource buildings/items. - given it's a crafting building, it's unlikely it's going to be one of these...

I'm sad that the monster rate is so controlled. Once I reach a goal, the monsters dry up. Activities that spawn lots of monsters during normal play, now, produce nothing. It's hard enough, as a lower level player, to come up with the energy, and then to make it through the slow process of turning lesser tokens into troll tokens, but if the monsters are being rationed--as it really seems-- there is no way I'm going to accomplish the tantalizing prizes. Makes a player grumpy.

However, perhaps it's going a bit far at the moment and we are being bombarded with ways for us to spend real money and I Know not everybody is in the position to do this.... And then change the drop rates.

S8 - please don't make it harder to reach goals ( change drop/appearance rates) ... We will continue to play .... Just don't take advantage of us ��

Unless you specifically program for Storm8—and have worked on monster hunt events—this is nothing more than speculation. I have not seen a difference (speculation also), but there's no way of knowing for sure. I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, since S8 has said the rate doesn't change. However, I will not argue this point farther. If you think your personal experience trumps all, there's nothing I could say that would change your mind anyway.

Are you on android? I'm on iOS so I don't know how the quests work for android, but for iOS we can only fight one each of the blue boar and glimmer golem per day, each day of the hunt. If these quests are the equivalent of our dailies, I'd guess that once you complete the quests, you won't be able to spawn more of those special monsters.

How are we ever supposed to collect enough coins to trade? I've done almost nothing all day except beat up beasts on android and I think I've made 2 troll tokens. Am I missing something?


I guess you just have to expect not to get anything unless you play for years and slowly save up your troll tokens.

Storm8's way of trying to make you invest a lot of time/work so that you don't feel you can just leave.

If that's true, I feel triple ripped for having bought the beast bane display (which is dropping squat). I'm fairly new to the game, and foolishly purchased a glimmeregg forge, too. Hopefully I've learned my lesson. Supporting a game fairly is one thing, being reamed is another.

Your original game will be saved on s8 servers... If you had a password on it and remember what it is you can login to your game on your current iPad .... Otherwise you can email support

Squeeeeal!!! Crafting my first gorgeous purple Ali in the research center! So excited!!! All that hard work throughout the hunting seasons (only missed the first one) is finally paying off! :D

First drop from the Beastbane display was 2 staff tokens.

I got a wedding tower from my latest golden trade but it's surprisingly small - smaller than a jeweled egg!

So conceivably what a person has to gain with the bane is that they can start out next monster hunt with 120 each (the max allowed in inventory) of the silver tokens which would equal about 5 gold token trades right at the beginning of the hunt. That's the way it look to me anyway. Feel free to correct this if this wrong. I do not want to mislead anyone here. That could be less because I think you need 50 of one of the silver token to make a gold token trade. But it would still be a good head start.

That's how I looked at it too. I did go ahead and buy it, because the idea of getting a head start on tokens and the chance at a few gold ones between hunts appealed to me.
Having said that....I am realizing it will be slow going. My first two collections were 2 staff tokens each. :(

I'm still excited about it overall though. I've put the cooking camp on indefinite hold. I had enough tokens saved for the Mythic Research Center, for me that was a better choice...my kitchens are often idle these days anyway.

Lorelei's fountain - unfortunately so far this hunting season the fountain has not dropped any tokens in the 1st 6 tries as mentioned for a drop during hunting season AND last hunting season I did get token drops regularly!

Wow! Lots to take in!

I've an old game on iOS which I'm trying to figure out the daily challenges (unsuccessfully so far) had the traders wagon and no sapphires for the fountain even though I think I was a fairly committed player when playing that. I stopped for a while (was unwell) and then reinstalled and am playing again now.

Got a new game on android which seems to be going better, the locket seems to fit in with the long-term storyline (do they employ writers for this as I'd love to do something like this), so don't know whether to get the locket, fountain (have 1 sapphire from last season) or mythic building.

Thoughts?

Typical. Normally I can't do anything in game without being swarmed by stupid boars. Going through my harvest patch of 32 strawberry patches, I generally run into 4-6 boars. However now that I need them for monster hunt? Nothing, no monsters anywhere. I get through all my harvest with zero encounters. It's infuriating. The only monsters I can ever get are the ones from the daily quests and the jousting arena.

Try collecting from cows and chickens for fang beasts. And strawberries for dire boar after you finish the daily goals if on iOS. Added benefit is the token drops are better than the skunks.

But I've had the same problem as you. 25 energy or more to get one monster and sometimes none. We all feel your pain. Sorry. Another thing that helps or just pure luck. After I smash a beast, I exit the game and usually get another one pretty quickly after going back to gameplay. I'm close to 70 gold tokens now. So it's still going to take forever to get all the new goodies.

*The Mythic Research Center is a new long-term goal, meaning it will be around past the current season :) As with the Cooking Camp, the current plan is for it to remain active both in and out of seasons. The animal summoning crafts inside it also remain active outside of Monster Hunt seasons :)

*The Ornate Locket, as it ties in to the main story, is also not bound to Monster Hunts.

The PURPLE DRAGON dropped 2 Glimmerdust!...and Lorelei's fountain continues to NOT DROP tokens!...and obtaining gold tokens has become more tedious (hard to come by) this hunting season!
