Well it is a bit of a drought here in Wellington, New Zealand.
I do love the look of the dragon, the water/blue theme of the opponents and will be looking at completing this tournament as well.

Well, the saying goes it never rains when it pours, it is about to get torrential!!! Kooky has just posted a new dragon for the 8th and it is a CHAMPION called Valiant, going to be interesting trying to do 2 tournaments at once! Oh me oh my!!

My guess is it won't be a tournament prize, but a chance for newer players without champs to get one. Could be replacing Hidden Gem in the mine, could be from questing, could be something completely new. Hope it isn't another Leaderboard, as I like Valiant but won't bother with another Leaderboard event.

I hope you are right DeeDee..on both! Still mind-bogglingly unlucky in arena (3 flash wins total on my 2 games) and even more unlucky with recent Leaderboard groupings. Would LOVE it as a new mining or Tales dragon though!

ETA: After my battle with Shaman the game did force close but I opened it back up and my timer for battle was still at one hour. I just went to do round 16 and found myself back facing Shaman again :mad: This time he beat Diamond 15 - WTH?? These bugs are so darn frustrating!! Fix them already :mad:

Same thing happened to me last Tourney in r17...lost a dozen times after and never finished. Incredibly frustrating but refused to ultimate a round I won. Hope you got him straight way next time!

So far he's only used bash hits, no magic.

Can someone please explain what those letters mean? B, bB, Bb, mb, bm, etc...

Bs and Ms mean Bash and Magic the 2 types of hits you can do during battle.

B- it took 1 critical Bash hit to knock out opponent
Bb or bB means it took 2 Bash hits to take out opponent. (1 critical, one regular) in either order
MB/bM/Mb/Bm/bm/ or any such of those combos means they used Magic and Bash both. Whichever being capitalized being the critical hit.

I generally use Fire or Air in most matches even though I have Champions up to lvl 13. Also, Water is powerful in the Arena. I beat Shaman with Fire bB. Try it & you may find it easier. Good luck!

i sympathized with you, even worse for you it happened with champ opponent.
i myself had to beat frostfire 3 or 4 times yesterday because of game reset issue. beat frostfire, only return around 15 mins later and see there is no timer above battle arena .

I'm inspired to use Fire when I saw some of the results posted by the members only using fire and won more than 70% of round in each tournaments. Secondly I'm too lazy to keep thinking which dragon should I use every round or should I use bash or magic.

Do you really mean that you just won Rd 4 against Sea Horse Lv3 ? It must be really disgusting and its really very funny ! If you get stuck like this , you must shut off your instrument completely and restart ! Also clear history and website data etc n then play ! This has helped me always ! Hope it helps you too ! Round 15 Sharman < Diamond L15 bbm .... I have my own Sharman at L13 and he wins with magic so as an opponent decided to bash him hard twice to weaken him then magic to finish him and it worked ...... Might be a rubbish theory but it worked first attempt :)

If you look at Bastiaan's list (copied here for convenience), there are b's next to the Dragon that was won with. Those stand for 'bash'. Upper case B's stand for a critical bash hit and under case stand for regular bash hits. If magic was used you will see an M (critical magic hit) or m (regular magic hit). So far he's only used bash hits, no magic.
That's correct, there are 3 'specials' though:
BB: First hit is a major hit, severe but not critical, leaving opponents energy still orange, second hit finishes it;
Bbb: First hit is major, two hits to finish and
B(bb): First hit is critical, opponents energy is red, but still needs two hits to finish.
And indeed I only use bashes, I changed that when I raised Fire, Air and Diamond to level 15. For other fighters I still use my former favorite magic-bash-magic combo.

I think that would require too much storage in the back end. However I do know I took Ms Diamond to 15 under sufferance as her record on my island wasn't anything to write home about either. At level 15 however, she has improved dramatically. She still has her off days, but overall, well worth the promotion.

So awesome to see the tournament percentages have been tightened again. Multiple losses for me on 90% win chance dragons.

I think they loosened (actually went according to percentages) the last tournament for the Skylord event. 1st tournament in over a year that was loose for me. Now back to being ridiculous. They cleaned up during Skylord and don't have the decency to stop manipulating tournaments?

Wanted to chime in here. After losing numerous times against Shaman sometimes using same dragon I followed Sam204's advice to nicsdragonisle and deleted cookies came back when arena was ready and picked my highest dragon which is Aether dragon who had lost 2x already and took out Shaman with mB! Not sure if it was the cookie thing or not but I will take it! Thanks!!:)

I did as Sam 204 suggested and cleared cookies/history for Safari and surprisingly when I battled Tsunami he went down with 1 bash, I usually battle him at least a few times before I win. Also decided to use what Sipland did for Tsunami instead of my first choice (Beast) and Sorceress KO'd Tsunami.

Anyone having trouble with a dragon should always look at the first few pages of this thread for ideas on what to use if you're having trouble beating a dragon, and lvl of the dragon sometimes isn't as important as the colors. My Beast is lvl 15 and Sorceress lvl 10, but she came through for me, you may not have the exact dragon but look through your dragons to see if you have something comparable.

Later this month I'll have been playing 1 year, but many have been playing for years and have a lot of knowledge they can offer you, just ask them. There are no dumb questions, it's only foolish not to get the help you need.

For any pure champion type dragons (like Shaman) you face in tournaments, Diamond, Infinity, Soccer, Passion and Pyramid are your top options. Metal is good too with a tad less chance to win.

Leveling up Diamond and Infinity to 15 is relatively cheap and well worth it for arena purposes.

The battle arena calculators out there are great tools to use for picking dragons to use.

I haven't gotten there yet, but I was stuck on shaman for a lot of rounds. I tried multiple dragons some multiple times. I wasn't having any luck but I saw Sam204's post about clearing cookies so I figured I had nothing to lose in doing it. Now it could have been coincidence but I came right back in and beat him with a dragon I had already used at least 2x. Some said it didn't work for them some say it might have. Idk. Could be luck. Have you tried this? Diamond, Infinity, Passion, Pyramid, Soccer and Metal higher chance. Idk if you have any of those. Wishing you the best of luck!

I've had those tournaments, stuck on a Champion. This tournament has been a welcome relief. But I have Spirit Warrior next, so that could be my nemesis this tournament, we'll see in a few minutes. Barbarian took down at least 16 of mine before I hit the Ultimate button - he was a shocker!

I remember at Shaman's tournament, I lost to high level Infinity multiple times and thus I couldn't make it to the next round and moreover to the final round. At Tsunami tournament, same as Shaman's, I lost to a high level Mermaid many times and thus, I also couldn't make it to final. What a sad memory. Hope one day I could get all dragons that I missed, such as Shaman, Guardian Angel, Tsunami, etc... Okay, forget about the past, the past is in the past, let it go, and let's move on... :)

I have been stuck on rd25 for a day now..again. I can't seem to get past tourny rd25 lately...well once I used ultimate. I can't afford the gold with reduced earnings..lose 16 Everytime now. :( My Warrior Princess15 won rds1-24. I've tried virtue, Warrior Princess, jack'o lantern, air,battlesteed, honeybee &aether... so far nothing even close. Nyx & forest will be next 2 tries..I certainly hope something works. Between last few tournaments (never had such a run of bad luck), losing skylord dragon at end & I am getting quite discouraged with the game...my work is no longer being rewarded. Last tournament I used ultimate after 22tries..the one before that I didn't finish after 26tries...something seems unfair to me.

Spent the entire day - 19 battles - on Spirit Warrior. When the "new day" began - 2am Central, I fought one last battle for the night. Infinity 15 - which had already lost six times - was victorious! I will start round 26 in the morning.

Red/black like Magma, gatekeeper etc. Jade or onyx.

Abyss is a more recent red/black...cursed rose, dame of darkness, landworm...hopefully one of those will do the trick for you!

I ****ed it with Landworm lvl 9, don't remember if it was 1 or 2 hits, very easily :)
