If you have 6 large / grand farms with food planted 20 hours a day, and collect from the sign you earn as the first prize 3 times a day, and have something incubating in the nest 18 hours a day, that is 150 passes per day and 2,550 (aprox.) passes for the event. If we get an arena during the event (in a week, probably), that's more. If you win passes in the mine, more as well. This is doable for anyone online a few times a day, if timed well. And the community prizes require LOTS of people participating so please help the community effort if you can.

I ADORE all of these animals! Great job Designers! I'm excited to get everything this time, I just wish the totem was one of the prizes. I can't afford 500 for a decoration, since decor makes me crash more often... I have to store everything as soon as events end. :(
I hope more expansions are already in the works. I'm struggling to fit all the beautiful new habitats in, and still have room for Celestial's giant footprint.

Won the Travel Sign with 25 Travel Passes and placed in the forest so I can collect from it in the future. Second individual Prize is a Tidal Tiles which requires 200 Travel Passes. Looks like it may follow the pattern of the St. Patrick's Day event which required slightly more than 164 tokens per day.

Good Luck everyone and remember to place the Travel Sign in your forest when you get it so that you can collect Travel Passes from it every 4 hours.

For the second time in a row I was caught totally unprepared for a world event. I should be ok but I'll probably go right up to the last few hours like last time. I don't like cutting it that close. So from now on I have decided that the day before every update I am going to plant runes to be ready to harvest right after the update. Better to be on the safe side IMO.

I know they usually release another similar themes animal through a spin to win or a tournament during these events so I will have to see if the Snow Monster ends up holding the permanent spot as the unofficial fourth creature of the theme ��

So I do really like the design of the animals & love the habitat.
Overall tho I am really disappointed with a few things 1. The final community prize is only a rare 2. We have to get really far into the event before we even get an animal ( I barely have room for animals/habitats much less decorations & 3. No fun new element.
But again, I'm happy with the animal design & that they at least made a habitat to go with it even if it's not a prize for the event

Because the tournament started before the World Event started. It has always worked that way. To get tokens for the tournament, the tournament needs to start after the World Event starts.

So the black and white theme continues!!! Gorgeous, gorgeous gorgeous animals ... Must have . But they will have to wait to be put on display. I desperately need space and expansions are slow and far inbetween :(:(
I also have to purchase the 3rd zodiac habitat. And then there is the Eire shire languishing in the storage.
Oh powers that be in FFS pls give us quicker ways to expand. May be we can receive upto 3 runes a day from neighbours , in addition to the gems.

Well, I wasn't expecting a world event so soon, but these animals are beautiful! ^_^ I didn't really have any crops ready yesterday, but had enough to get the Signpost right away so I think I should be able to catch up. I sure hope so because I really want to have all of these! I think Norse Horse is my favorite, but Northwest whale is a close second. I may even get the habitat too. It's really pretty with the contrasting trees, rocks and the cute little boat. Great job artists! :D

Just a friendly warning - I have noticed the tally is not tracking all my tokens from harvesting.
I had this issue last world event also. Not everyone noticed this issue. My recommendation is to harvest VERY slowly to make sure you don't lose any. Good luck all

I had that happen with the st Patric day event but it was happening with every thing I did to collect rainbows (about 50% of the time) I contacted storm 8 support who told me to do a force shut down of the game and device your playing from. It worked for me but I had to do it every couple of days. Hope this info helps at all :)

The color scheme blends into the background and I can't see it very well. I think I have made quite a few collections from the Travel Sign a lot later than I could of resulting in some lost opportunities. I need to pay special attention to it when I harvest my crops so I don't miss it. Never had this problem before.

Very welcome. So frustrating when this happens. I was unable to collect the last world prize for the 1st time & I'm thinking at least some of that had to do with un-calculated tokens. Just harvest slowly:)

Also - another issue I ran into was when I went to collect from my travel passes deco - it had mysteriously disappeared & placed itself back in storage:(. So I lost tokens there as well. I have since replaced it & currently it has not 'stored itself' again;)

The Orca snail looks totally cool in the new habitat! He creeps around the upper edge ever so gracefully :)

I've noticed the same thing Nina. There have been a couple of occasions that I didn't even notice that the Travel Sign was ready to collect until a few hours after it was ready. And I can't afford for that to happen too many times since this world event is probably going to go down to the wire for me.

This is really a little few because in the Former world events the hourley Number of collected things has been nearly 1,100 000 and until now we collected only ca.804 000 per hour!!!!

Yes, I'm having that problem as well. Have moved it around and doesn T seem to matter where I put it, it's hard to see. And I'm strapped for space so can't move too much around. Several times I've closed the game and thought "shoot, I didn't collect from my sign" and had to go back in.

I've done the same thing for the same reason. And it doesn't show you when it's full. They need to emote some sign IE the breeding den or hatching tree. So I've missed many turns.

I really like the Norse Horse, although I wish more ponies were designed like the Unicornucopia. All of the ponies jump except the Unicornucopia, which walks. I think walking fits the description of some ponies better, like the Norse Horse. I will still like to have this Horse in my forest, just thought I would share my opinion on pony design.

I think I'm falling way behind. Haven't been able to get on and I just barely got enough for the ferns. I usually cut it very close so if I'm behind I doubt I'll get caught up again. I will do my best and at least it contributes to community totals. :)

So far I believe I am barely on schedule. I should be ok but I have almost no room for error. I can't afford to miss on tokens.

I just moved my Sapphire Cthulhu to the nest, so that will give me 45 tokens.....in about 2 days. Lol

I used the breeding time to move my Lucky Duck, Sheriff of Naughtyham, and Candy Crane out of storage.

I'll get started on trying for another gem hybrid in a couple of days. Have to decide which one I'll go after this time. Maybe a plant or fire hybrid.

The little totem you click every 4 hours.

I'm having the same problem--very hard to see against the background. I was trying to see if I could move it somewhere to try to see it better. But I have limited space as well.

I don't know if anyone else has had a problem with the Travel Passes symbol over the Travel Sign identifying it's ready for collection, but it has been difficult for me to notice it and collect the tokens. The color scheme blends into the background and I can't see it very well. I think I have made quite a few collections from the Travel Sign a lot later than I could of resulting in some lost opportunities. I need to pay special attention to it when I harvest my crops so I don't miss it. Never had this problem before.

In case anyone has a question about it, the Travel Sign is the first individual prize from the World Event and it gives you 4 Travel Passes every 4 hours.

LOL - yeah, I couldn't wait either. I spent a few gems to rush the other egg off the nest so Norse Horse egg could go on. It is a very beautiful egg. :)

Somehow I only have 888 travel passes so far. Usually I am on schedule or very close to it. Don't know how to catch up at this point so I'll just do the best I can and help the community towards those goals. I will get the Norse Horse at least, and if I'm not too terribly far away from the last one I might pay gems to finish it. We'll see. :)

The tally you need to reach at the end of each day to stay on track.

Day 1 = 165 travel passes
Day 2 = 330 travel passes
Day 3 = 495 travel passes
Day 4 = 660 travel passes
Day 5 = 825 travel passes
Day 6 = 990 travel passes

Day 7 = 1155 travel passes
Day 8 = 1320 travel passes
Day 9 = 1485 travel passes

Day 10 = 1650 travel passes
Day 11 = 1815 travel passes
Day 12 = 1980 travel passes
Day 13 = 2145 travel passes
Day 14 = 2300 travel passes ( you only need 155 passes this day)

We are now at the end of Day 9, so you should have at least 1485 travel passes to get the last individual prize.

I am sure those two Trade Tickets got us the Longboat at least 1 second earlier than we would of if I had lost.:) I was careful not to click on the View in Storage button for fear I wouldn't get credit for my victory. I did that once in the mine when a similar thing happened and I did go to Storage to look at the prize and lost the progress I had made in the mine and the Runes I had collected up to that point. Net affect of quitting the mine while in progress. So I know not to do that anymore.

The timestamps I see are always my timezone. I am in California so Pacific Daylight Time as I write this. I assumed that there was a setting where we could tell the forum what timezone we are in, but I can't find where to set that. Perhaps I am just fortunate to be in the same timezone as S8 so it is always local to me.

You can have the date/time of message set to your time zone. Click on Settings at the top of the screen. Select General Settings under My Account on the left of the screen. Scroll down to Date Time Options. You can set your time zone there. This should set the messages on the screen to the date/time for your time zone.

So, why am I again falling short (or barely making it), whereas I always used to get the last individual prize with days to spare (seeing me end with an excess of hundreds of tokens)? Maybe at other times I sped a tiny bit, but never much. I certainly can't explain such a big difference. I must be some 500 tokens off the point where I'd normally be at this time...?!?!?
Oh, BTW: I echo all that has been said about the visibility of the 4-hour tickets: they blend too much into the background, and that DID get missed by me sometimes. Previously I never had issues with that, but this time it's really difficult to see. And... I only have 2 1x1 spots where I can place items like these, so no options for me to put it where it's better visible. I hope next time around the tokens can be made more visible again..

The last 2 World Events have had the highest requirements of tokens/day (14 day World Events used to be 2200 tokens). I think the current World Event is the first one without a 30-round tournament (we did have an 18-rounder). So they are a bit more challenging. I am currently running a day ahead but I have used a few Rock Rhino eggs as nest fillers to make up for some of the tokens I missed out on the first day due to missing collections from the Travel Sign. Other than that, I have played my normal game throughout the event.

I agree. The last 2 world events have been harder. The daily average went from 153 per day to 165 per day. I used to be able to plant 5 hour crops overnight, now I plant 8 hour crops and still barely get the final individual prize.

I started playing about the 1st of November last year. I became eligible to participate in my first world event about midway through the Candy Carnival event so obviously I wasn't able to complete that one, but in the 4 world events since then, I've completed all of them. This one has been by far the hardest. I was prepared to spend a few gems to complete it if I was close at the end but luckily I was able to catch up.

I hate the "Your habitats can't hold more coins" push notifications that barge over my screen all day long. Instead, notifications for the 4-hour tokens and for "arena ready for a new round" (1 hour timer) would be great!

No wonder I'm behind. What little slack has slipped in over the days is now coming to haunt me.
I do want that whale. Time for some damage control.

As a start, I just sped a Frostfang egg off the nest and put the Norse Horse on it as overnight hatching. That way, I can catch up a bit and it's a gorgeous animal that I do not want to leave in storage. I'm not high on gems, so there's not much speeding I can do to catch up with the event, so I may have to do something drastic like switching to Rune Prunes and setting timers. Whatever gems I'll spend on catching up will be used for hatching some animals from storage, which IMO is the most positive way to gem-get additional tickets.

ATM I have 1934 tickets collected. I know that I have fallen behind and this is the 1st world event where I wont be getting the final individual prize, which im not happy with as I think the whale is a unique, impressive looking animal, and would have looked great with the spark shark (if that ever gets out of storage) and the land shark. I would have even brought a habitat to house all 3. Oh well, im not the type of player that needs to have every single animal in my forest, not that there is room to move, ill keep collecting the tickets, but with the time left, I think unfortunately ill miss out.

By the end of my time yesterday I needed 49 tokens to get the whale. I planted 6 sets of mangoes which will give me 48 and then I will collect my travel token to put me over the 49 and have my whale! I'm sorry to hear people are struggling here. I think I'm only doing OK as i decided to speed what was on my nest to get animals out of storage and there was a few of them. I will keep planting like crazy to contribute to the communicate tokens and good luck to everyone

So I really have to say that I just love the way the Northwest Whale moves around the habitat! It is definitely the smoothest movement out of all the creatures that "float" or "swim" around.

I also think the habitat for this event is the best designed out of every habitat released thus far. I even sold a Grand Earth habitat I had in order to purchase a second Travellers' Terrace. In this secondary one I put my Frostfang and Electric Elk and I hope to put my Onyx Direwolf one day once I breed him :)

This event has been difficult for me. I usually cut it pretty close but manage to get to the last prize. This time I wasn't able to be online as much as usual. Had I known this would be the case I could have prepared and worked around it, but it wasn't something I could anticipate and I missed out on a lot of tickets. I feel bad I didn't contribute as much to the community this time as I usually do and want to thank everyone for their contributions. I'm debating whether to buy and spend gems to finish.....trying to collect as many tickets as I can in the time that's left.

Looks like I am going to be about 35 tickets short for the last prize- still need 175 with about 13 hours left. Disappointing as this will be the first event I can't finish since I was a newbie. Really hard to make this goal with only 6 farms and 1 nest. I also had a harder time getting tickets in the mine; seemed to get tickets only about half the time with runes. Anybody else have a stingy mine?

I'm now sitting on 2,269 tickets. With just over 12hrs to go, l'll be collecting the Northwest-Whale, once I harvest my nexus nuts (30 travel passes) in 3 hrs. I'll mine the remaining 1 pass. In an earlier post I think I panicked slightly :rolleyes: thinking I wouldnt get to 2300 passes.

I got my Whale about an hour ago. In the end, it wasn't necessary to do any speeding for it (though I did speed up some 10 hours worth of hatching time earlier this week), but it came a bit close for my comfort. Anyway, the Whale's safe and sound in storage now, where it'll have to wait until an opportune time comes along to hatch it.
On my secondary account I didn't even get close; IIRC it's only at some 1500+ passes. With this installment of the world event, I decided to permanently stop worrying about World Events, Storybooks and Tournaments on the secondary account: too stressful. I'll just pick off some things in an opportunistic way for those from now on.

I noticed the same thing. It seems to be a recent trend that the final community prize is a rare animal. Shamcroc, Sweet Sheep, and Candy Crane, from the previous 3 (4 including the current one) world events are all rare. You have to go back to Candy Carnival event last November.
