The Baron's Tent - Release 11 - April 2016

*NOTE*: The Baron's Tent is currently available to iOS players only. Because it is a "mini game", it cannot be stored OR sold; this is not a bug.

How does the tent work?

1. Every day there's a new grand prize you can purchase. The grand prize is random. All known drops are outlined below & in the Inventory Guide (http://forums.storm8.com/showthread.php?76375).
2. Every day you get 3 free cabbages only. If you buy cabbages, remaining ones (above 3) are carried over to the next day but you do not get an additional 3 free ones.
3. In order to get the Grand Prize, you'll need to purchase some cabbages as you need all 6 prizes to get the grand prize and you're only given 3 free cabbages.
4. Even if you do not want to purchase cabbages, throw your three free ones per day (unless you have the Cabbage Hut). You will still get those prizes (the ones behind the Baron's face).
5. Purchases you can make inside the Baron's Tent:
* 1 rotten cabbage = 10 gems
* 4 rotten cabbages = 40 gems
* 10 rotten cabbages = 90 gems
* 22 rotten cabbages = 180 gems

6. In Oct '15, the Cabbage Hut was released in the market for 450 gems (Limit of 1). It drops 1 rotten cabbage on each collection and has a 22-hour timer. The rotten cabbages are "stored" inside the Baron's Tent (not in the player's storage cellar inventory). No reported limit for the number of rotten cabbages that can accrue and be stored in the Baron's Tent.

You can accumulate the cabbages you collect everyday if you don't use the 3 free on the first day.
Start with your 3 free. Don't use them.
Now collect from your cabbage hut. You should have 4 now. Don't use them.
The next day collect from the cabbage hut again. You should now have 5. Don't use them.
Continue each day collecting from the cabbage hut without using any until you have the amount you want or need to hit all 25 spots.
There is also a pending game goal to acquire &/or build the Cabbage Hut.

I got it, too, mainly because I was hoping it would be like my Dragon Bones, with a 12-hr timer and drop the same things as dragons but...yeah, I'm a bit disappointed, too.
And it is TOO tiny; the artwork is lost & you can't even really tell what it is!

Since all of the other new glass items are just decorations which give different amounts of royal points, I'd suspect this one does the same, with no timer & no drops.

I think a modified random system could be used. Like, it's random but forces an item to appear at least once... Because honestly hearing of people who did not get the g Ali for a whole month is awful...

Yes, they are one in the same. Folks are calling the Glimmeregg Alicorn (G-Ali) a "rainbow alicorn" because his wings are the color of the rainbow. :)

I really like the items that get featured in the Baron's tent. Sadly most items are of the decorative variety or mirror items already available in the shop or were prizes for past quest lines. Yes hedges and Fairy Gardens, I AM looking at you! Our playing field is soooooo limited that putting something that is only for a decorative element is practically a waste. I have been playing since the game was pre-released so my storage unit is filled with things I would love to put out, but where can I place them? One of the things that I cannot wrap my head around is things like the decorative paths we seem to always get as the collection type of quest (like the Hallowe'en ones), is that the paths we get cannot go under some other item (paths lead up to a gate, stop, and begin again on the other side of a gate, wall, or decoration. Why can the tiles be like tiles in other S8 games like RS, BS, RS2, BS2, etc? If it cam be done there, why not in CS? I really would like to know the answer to that one question from someone from the S8 team. No offence to my pretty knowledgeable peers and moderators, I know how helpful all of you can be, but unless you can do the programming for S8 games all you can provide is conjecture and hearsay. This is something that should be pretty simple to do since it already exists in other similar games. Please understand that I do have programming knowledge from my many years of experience working for the Mouse some of which was in the IT/POS department. If I was asking for features from games that have totally different platforms like the Match 3 type of games, I could understand that it would not necessarily be "doable ", but the platforms for RS and CS should be similar enough to be able to have ground coverings act like floor coverings that already exists in the other games.

I got the glimmer alicorn in my tent so I bought the cabbages to knock down all the faces and I still didn't get it because there was no fur behind any of the faces and that was one of the things I needed to get. :(

I saw the value pack with cabbages and made a rare trip to the tent to see if there was anything worth while....glimmer alicorn!! Yes!!!!!
