Black screen on Galaxy S2

I have uninstalled and redownloaded a few times, but the same thing happens. When I click the x on the pop up box showing me who has gifted me, my screen goes black. I can see my restaurant behind that box until I click it off. When the screen is black, I can only see my coins, xp, etc at the top.

Just tried downloading it from Google Play instead of Amazon App store and that worked! No more black screen. Weird.
