* You have until April 11 to purchase the forge if you want to.
* Coloured eggs will only drop from: the Glimmeregg Alicorn (only available during March and April 2016 in the Baron's Tent (http://forums.storm8.com/showthread.php?90376-03-31-Update-Baron-s-Tent-Prizes-%28April-2016%29-iOS-only)), the Glimmeregg Bunny and the Glimmeregg Chick.

Event Update - March 31st: (as event expired, text out of date)
1. The bunny basket is decorative only.
2. I've forwarded feedback about unlinking the buy gems screen when you reach 0 energy and this has been passed back to the Dev Team already. Let's hope this decision is reversed.
3. Once you craft the last egg, the ability to craft more jewelled eggs disappears rending the new glimmer egg forge obsolete and the crafts disappear from the magic forge. CHANGED FROM 3/31 - MAGIC FORGE WILL CRAFT JEWELED EGGS | COLOURED EGGS ARE NOW DROPPING IF YOU FINISHED THE EVENT | GLIMMEREGG FORGE WILL CRAFT COLOURED EGGS
4. The Glimmeregg alicorn is a current prize in the Barons Tent.
5. The event remains status quo... Once you have your 5 jeweled eggs, the event is over. I will however pass on feedback about Jeweled eggs in the market :) CHANGED FROM 3/31 - MAGIC FORGE BACK IN BUSINESS
6. Update on the size of the glimmerchick: sorry, it is staying tiny, so make sure you're careful when moving it around. :)
7. Update on the Glimmeregg Forge: our feedback to make it useful post event has been passed on to the Dev team. That's all I can tell you at this stage. If there is any update on this it will most likely come from S8.

* all mushrooms including brown and red circles (not mythic), Ivy's house, sawmills, sparkling mine, glimmer chick, Old Thomas house, all flowers (purple, red, blue), chopping trees, dead tree, mermaid pond, maple tree, rock outcropping, dark cave formation, glimmerrock formation, iron rich rock
* glimmer chick does drop more than one kind of egg with only a half hour wait - purchase for 40 gems.


Colored Glimmereggs will only drop after you complete The Great Glimmeregg Hunt.

If we want to impress the Glimmeregg Bunny, we'll need to make more Jeweled Eggs.

Hey everyone!Sorry I wasn't around yesterday, I was driving home from vacation - but I'm back now, and ready to do whatever I can to help clarify and/or sort things out!

For the Bunny Basket, that item is a decoration only and was not meant to have a timer on it. That has been fixed - sorry about that! Hope everyone has fun hunting for Glimmereggs!

Forget the animals. I found glimmer eggs from red mushroom circles. 5 minute reset time is much nicer than 30 minutes for chickens. However, not sure if drop rates are better for different things.

Don't know about the glimmer Ali but glimmer chick does drop more than one kind of egg with only a half hour wait. So far I've received 1 pink 1 green 1 lilac and the next time was 1 pink 1 blue and 1 green. :)

You forget Northwoods, not everyone has had the opportunity to get the Glimmeregg Alicorn, some of us are still waiting for it to appear in our tents, some of my neighbours now have 6 and more, just another example of random unfairness!

If the glimmer alis are to drop eggs, perhaps they could put them out in a value pack or in the market, i would buy one. As a player who does spend gems i would like to see some kind of refresh for the barons tent so if we didnt like the prize we could refresh for x-amount of gems, just a thought.

The descriptions of the glimmereggs in the Glimmeregg Forge are not correct. The 1st one (to craft mint jeweled eggs) it says "Use these colorful Glimmereggs to create beautiful Pink Jeweled Eggs". This is the description of them in the Magic Forge. It should say (...) to create Mint Jeweled Eggs. All the others descriptions are incorrect too.

I don't know if this holds true for everyone, but my chick dropped only regular eggs until I finished the first task. (Collecting 20 pink eggs and making the jeweled egg). After that, I started getting different color eggs from collections and the glimmer chick started dropping multiples of colored eggs.

I just got 2 eggs each from the sawmills and 2 from one of the sparkling mines. Still none from the hatcheries. :confused:

It shows up if you try to collect from something when out of energy, plain luck that I haven't spent gems on unwanted energy today... That popup is seriously annoying and needs to be returned to the old behaviour.

I bought the cute little glimmer egg chick. It is RIDICULOUSLY small. It's a speck. I'm afraid to move it, because it might get lost on my board somewhere. You can barely even tell what it is...S8 should make out the size of the kittens at the very least...

Small item of note (which kinda makes me frown but...well, whatever lol) - You know how the Magic Forge has red smoke coming out of the chimney *and* a shiny fire in the front forge when it's forging something? ...well, the Glimmeregg Forge has none of that when it's forging an egg of a different color - no chimney smoke, no fire, no anything of animation whatsoever anywhere. Maybe we could have had some smoke or fire (hello, how hard is it to copy/paste the SAME animation code on the same kinda building?) as the regular forge if we hadn't gotten that 50-gem rebate??? lol

Have we got any word on what use the forge will be after Easter? Decorations I can live without and I'm reluctant to spend real money for gems for something useless in the long term. I'm very careful how I spend gems.

I've been incredibly lucky in other ways this morning - 30 energy from lucky trade just as I needed to defeat the last troll king, then collected the energy from fairy juice to defeat the last beast in the anniversary tournament, only to level up on finishing that! But I'm getting very, very few eggs. Still only got 10 pink ones, and they don't seem to drop from the places people have mentioned. Most have come from my chickens. I'm on android and there doesn't seem to be an update either.

Is it really worth buying the egg forge or will I just have more decorations I don't have room to put out in my inventory in a fortnight's time?

I must say that I love the jeweled eggs! They are beautiful. It may be a simple 1x1 deco item, but they're nicely done and I plan to continue to use them. I also intend to craft more from one color, but read elsewhere in the thread that the option to craft expires once you receive the bunny and finish the final quest? Should I hold off on crafting the 5th color and craft other colors just to be on the safe side?

I am very happy with my two glimmer chicks, they drop various colored eggs consistently. At least 3 eggs per collection. Just not sure if I will manage to collect enough yellows in 11 days as I have only one yellow so far, despite collecting from my 6 jewelers and 5 conservatories all the time. Will wait and see what my average is after a few days of collecting, I'm not tempted to buy the forge (yet).

They are very rare drops! With the golden nugget, it can take a while to have a sufficient reserve to to the trade and not jeopardize future events. The best source of gems if you want to buy a Glimmeregg Chick is still to do adventure. A bit slower but a steady source.

They are very rare drops! With the golden nugget, it can take a while to have a sufficient reserve to to the trade and not jeopardize future events. The best source of gems if you want to buy a Glimmeregg Chick is still to do adventure. A bit slower but a steady source.

I have five apple trees plus an apple trough (they kept dropping from adventures - I basically have a fruit orchid now) so I'm hopeful to get a rare apple. I'm not holding my breath. And I have more gems coming from three open games I'm leveling up.

Which adventures give the best gem drops? I know they changed them.

I've been incredibly lucky in other ways this morning - 30 energy from lucky trade just as I needed to defeat the last troll king, then collected the energy from fairy juice to defeat the last beast in the anniversary tournament, only to level up on finishing that! But I'm getting very, very few eggs. Still only got 10 pink ones, and they don't seem to drop from the places people have mentioned. Most have come from my chickens. I'm on android and there doesn't seem to be an update either.

Is it really worth buying the egg forge or will I just have more decorations I don't have room to put out in my inventory in a fortnight's time?

I bought it, I don't know if it's worth it or not. I'm using it to convert pink eggs into green. If you gems, I'd say buy the glimmer chick, it's only 40 and it drops glimmer eggs. I only bought the forge cause I figured I'd land in this new "energy gem trap" and lose gems, so I might as well spend them

I did the same. I've been holding on to a stockpile of gems for a while, and at the rate they are adding ways to 'accidentally' spend gems (they seem to dislike the phrase gem traps) I figured I'd take a chance and spend them rather than losing them. Then this morning, I read that the forge will become obsolete after this event and now I'm experiencing huge buyers remorse. I wish I'd been patient for one more day :( I really hope they choose to reverse that decision. We have the winter bakery and the cooking camp to help the kitchens. And the tinkers camp to help the workshops and potion shops. I was hoping this would have the same function as a helper to the magic forges.

The glimmer egg chicks appear to be a far better investment. They cost less gems, are generous with colored eggs, AND will remain useful after the event.

* I can also confirm that the observatory has a chance of dropping yellow eggs. 4 down, 8 to go...

Apparently this event is different from previous ones in that eggs can drop from places that not all players have access to... (For example, glimmer chicks and glimmer alicorns) so why not have them drop from the other 'glimmer' structures? And all character's houses?

ps Old Thomas isn't a sure drop, twice now I've gotten nothing from his house. Maybe he's misplacing them with his scrolls :confused:

3. I have received a PM which says: Once you place the bunny, the ability to craft more jewelled eggs disappears rending the new glimmer egg forge obsolete and the crafts disappear from the magic forge. I am checking about this as well.
YIKES! I was wondering that very thing & popped in to see if anyone had gotten as far as getting the bunny and could report on the crafts staying or disappearing. Unless this is changed, I will definitely be holding off on making that 5th (yellow) decorative egg until the last day of the Egg Hunt so I can make as many of the other decorative eggs that I want/can for the duration of this event!
Also, disappointed and major buyer's remorse for spending 250 gems on the non-animated forge that will be useless after placing the bunny, too. :(

It doesn't drop wool; you're thinking of a report from the bunny (which is still weird, lol).
Before the event, the chick dropped the same thing as regular chickens - eggs & occasional roast chicken. I assume it'll do the same after the event. DURING the event, it's also dropping multiple colored eggs on ea 30-min collection.

I bought the cute little glimmer egg chick. It is RIDICULOUSLY small. It's a speck. I'm afraid to move it, because it might get lost on my board somewhere. You can barely even tell what it is...S8 should make out the size of the kittens at the very least...


Just collected from it and got three different colored eggs at once! More worth it than the building I should think. Does anyone even know if the egg forge is usable after this hunt?


I totally agree about the Gimmer chick! Even when you zoom all the way in you STILL can't tell what he looks like. Please change the size. Nothing should be that small in these games.

I've gotten both purple and yellow eggs from the chick. It's actually been the best source of purple eggs for me.

So, i jumped early and bought the forge sure it would be useful. What a disappointment.

Oh how I wish S8 would make it worth the gems by adding a goal next week. Bunny plus basket plus rabbit hole OR bunny plus eggs plus basket and get a live bunny. At least one that moves like the cows and chickens! He could hope in place and I would be thrilled.

Just saying.... It would be great to have the forge be useful after the challenge or give something more...

Color me a disappointed fan.

Don't know how it happened, but I really thought I had read it dropped wool, indeed I must have been mistaken with something else!

However it helped my doubting: won't buy for now, I expect to collect the purple and yellow eggs in time :o

I have been successful in getting the mint green eggs from chopping various trees. I have harvested glimmerbulbs, strawberries, wheat, corn, tomatoes, sugar cane with over 160 energy and not 1 single mint green egg. I chopped a tree and with my first chop - mint green egg. I did a total of 10 chops between 2 trees and I was able to get 2 mint green eggs, so about a 20-25% drop rate. My best source for eggs, across the 3 different ios devices that I play, has by far been the single glimmerchick that I purchased 1 of for each of my account. This glimmerchick was well worth the gems paid for it and I only have 1 on each account.

I have also gotten the lilac egg from the small mine so be sure to collect there as often as you can. Both mine are Lvl 5

I'm so glad I did not have enough gems on any of my accounts to waste on the glimmerforge. If it is going to be obsolete that the end of this event, that is truly sad and quite a waste of gems.

What buildings are the yellow eggs being found in? I can not find any... All trees drop eggs when chopped I think, mine all have so far. Ives hut drops eggs. Mushrooms produce eggs. Mines give purple eggs, ponds and wells give blue.

I thought I got a yellow egg from a chicken but maybe that was a gold egg.
I got one from a jeweller. I have two yellow eggs so far.

Do not buy the forge, cause it is a huge disappointment and waste of gems. It is useless. Better to buy the Glimmerchics, they give 3-4 coloured eggs per 30 min

These drops are very inconsistent, unlike past events like Halloween cookies and worms, I have yet to get an egg from my jeweler, old Thomas house, or conservatory. The yellow eggs are like chasing ghosts

Since the event ends after you make the last yellow egg and place the bunny, mine is crafting now, i wont tap forge until ive crafted at least 2 of each of the other eggs, and a second yellow.
