expanded plot time bar disappeared on 3rd day when it should have opened up plot!

I spent $1,000,000 and 60 mystic maps as well as 3 days waiting for a plot I was expanding to be ready to clear the trees,etc. so I could add another habitat and it disappeared (the time bar) but no expansion. How do I correct this?
