how exactly do you ge tthe solar bear

You need to expand to the Solar Bear. You can only expand to plots next to one you have already expanded to. To move from shelf to shelf, you have to expand from a space next to the shelf. If I remember correctly, to get to the Solar Bear shelf you have to move across from one of the bottom two plots from the left or the left two plots from the bottom. There is a whole thread devoted to the Solar Bear expansions.
