St. Patrick's Day Event (March 9 2016)

FINAL GOAL CHANGED TO ONLY 2200 CLOVERS!

THE FINAL REWARD, RAINBOW CAKE, IS A 20 COIN DISH!!!!

looks like another collection event with 3 parts & 3 rewards: part one, Luck of the Irish(6 goals+ collect 150 clovers), gives Finn's Clover Exchange, a 40 gem value. Part two, Finn's Clover Exchange(3 goals+ collect 900 clovers), awards a rainbow fountain. Part 3, Chasing Rainbows(3 goals+ collect 2800 clovers), awards the rainbow cake recipe on the new permanent spring oven. Completing all three awards one gem.

Both ingredients, mixed berries and limes, restock in 30 minutes. Finn the Leprechaun comes every 1 hour and while he usually has a chance to drop 1 clover, he may drop a golden clover which can be exchanged for 10 clovers. All other special customers drop 1 clover. Some regular recipes also drop 1 clover.

These goals require long cooking times. If you have not gotten a fb account for quickserves, I really really recommend it.

I made the long hours ones and they gave me clovers. I think it's like the last round whereby the short time recipes like sugar cookies don't give. Macaron doesn't give.

The recipes in cake maker give clovers. It seems any recipe that cooks for more than half an hour gives a clover.

We need a lot of frostings for this. So let's make while waiting for learning the recipes. The rainbow sugar takes hours to make and all recipes depend on it!

Correction: frappe didn't give clover so it's 45mins and above recipes.

True! 2800 Clovers do not fit in a 100 item pantry. Maybe they'll not count them in the actual pantry capacity, but just be there.

None of us have tons of FB friends who play the game, youre not alone. :) What I've done and what I'd reccomend you do is go to the FB page bakery story 2 neighbors or other similar pages and just add tons and tons of friends or leave your name there for others to add you... you will have 100s of friends in a few days who all play the game. Hope this helps!

Can you try to force shut your game, start it and check your store again? That usually works. If not, please try to reinstall as Cammoammo suggested. Thanks.

Whoops, just realized I forgot to tell you that the new recipes all drop 10 clovers or 20 clovers depending on how many rainbow sugars they need. 2 rainbow sugars = 20, 1 =10. Hope this helps!

I think I have 69 clovers right now. Collected my 3 recipes from Luck of the Irish 4/6 this morning and am working on the rainbow sugar for the next set.

I set up a Facebook page last night so hopefully I will start getting some quick serves. Those 7 hr recipes are going to be nearly impossible without some I think. They hardly ever drop for me from delivery orders.

When you are logged on to facebook and you get a request from a FB neighbor , you will numbers on the gold envelope on the left hand side . Click that and you can send quick serves to players that sent you a request for one.

You cannot just send these out, someone has to send you a request for one first.

I agree with your comments on FB. I hope I'm wrong but I'm starting to think this game/event is about FB and quickserves, and one neednt play the game much if one has lots of quickserves. Just check in for a few minutes, collect ingredients, cook and click quickserve and voila lol! :D And of course, keep sending requests for quickserves.

I am rather disappointed that this event has its own mixer. I wish we could use our regular mixer instead of the event mixer. I would buy another regular mixer without hesitations but I wouldnt buy another event mixer since it's useless after the event.

On a side note: I wonder if the prize recipe requires the event mixer hmmmmm

Ok. I NEED SPACE. can't keep asking us to buy TEMPORARY mixers and ovens and i think some cauldron too and leave the expansions at millions of dollars. I am stacked all over the place. I cant remove chairs because i need lots of people to eat since the ppl already take so long to eat. I needed to put counters all over the place because we need to cook so much stuff to get clovers and to have room to put the new recipe. So that takes lots of counters. But i dont have a million to expend and i need to buy the fryer and learn the donut recipe which is 3 millions i think so i cant use1 million to expand. WHY ARE THE EXPENSION SO EXPENSIVE???

nop, when you do 150 clovers, you have one ex for free, but if you want, you can buy additional one for 40 gems.

Completely agree. It would be nice if we were to get more than 1 clover per regular dish, or have the characters drop a couple. We wouldn't need to expand so much if appliances could be stored. I have decided not to expand due to the cost of everything, and I just leveled up to 28.

I'm still not sure how the Facebook thing works. I read the thread on it but only the same 2 neighbors keep showing up on it although I have about 24. I have received I think 3 quick serves and they have been very helpful. I just hit 150 clovers so maybe the exchange will help too.

Your neighbors have to be playing BS2 game to show up. Maybe only two of your FB neighbors are playing the game?

I'm hoping something works lol. I know the dishes with the 2rainbow sugars will produce more clovers, but that is just 6hrs of the day to get those. Maybe I need to take a couple of days and just make the sugar so that I can make a few of these recipes. If it comes down to it, I might do the Fb thing, and hopefully get some help that way. I really wish we would get a few clovers per regular dish or by characters. Oh well I guess. Time to make the best of it.

I joined you on fb yesterday.. but not sure that you sent me any request.. by the way at first for me also only one friend used to show up for requesting.. as I have joined fb only for playing this game, I have all my friends playing bs 2.. so I logged out from fb in game and logged in again.. then all my friends' names were showing up.. hope this helps..

Thank you! Force closing didn't work, but uninstall and reinstall did the trick! After I did that, the exchange was free! (and my quick service from FB started to work :D )

In addition to collecting 150 clovers, do you also need to complete all 6 steps of the "Luck of the Irish" goal to get the clover exchange?? :confused: I have collected beyond 150 clovers, and still no clover exchange after force-closing game and deleting/reinstalling game. :( It would be helpful to know if completion of the other goal thread is a requirement as well. None of us have tons of FB friends who play the game, youre not alone. :) What I've done and what I'd reccomend you do is go to the FB page bakery story 2 neighbors or other similar pages and just add tons and tons of friends or leave your name there for others to add you... you will have 100s of friends in a few days who all play the game. Hope this helps!

you have to check post #1 in this thread more often, guys! :)
that post is the work in progress and it's being updated until all info known.

as at yesterday, it says that free exchange is the prize for Luck of the Irish 6/6,
which means you have to complete whole chain to get there.

however, if you did it and still have no exchange, and force closing / reinstalling doesn't help - you have to contact support team in this matter.

I got a clover for sure from creme brulee and I think I got one from chocolate chip cookies as well.

Hi there should we have to buy Jems to buy the extra mixer and clover pot it would mean you would have to buy 110 Jems for items that will be taken away when the mission is finished it happen to me in the last mission the extra thing I bought with Jems was taken when mission was finished they should let us buy an extra blender instead as you need to many custard and peanut butter

Hi I have 439 clovers playing pretty constantly I cannot see how I can get 2,800 by the time this is finished.
1...joining Facebook with an alias. Is there a way to have two apps on iPad. I do not want to have to sign out of my main account sign into my alias sign back out and then sign back into my main account. I can just see problems. They know the programming to enable neighbours as in CS. Are they getting a kickback from facebook.
2..the spring oven is permanent therefore cannot be stored. If I do not achieve the ability to make the rainbow cake the oven is useless and just takes up much needed floor space. I wish they would have warned us about this.
3..this also will have an impact on bakers club grrr
4..I have managed to complete every other goal and event but this one is the hardest yet.
5. I am level 39. Expansion 8. Saviving up to unlock cinnamon and learn cinnamon roll cake

I am at level 33 with 427 clovers and I don't see how I can get this event finished. I also find it crazy that some recipe that take longer than others DO NOT GIVE CLOVERS. You really have to pay attention when making recipe to see that they show REWARDS CLOVER.

Hi I have 439 clovers playing pretty constantly I cannot see how I can get 2,800 by the time this is finished.
1...joining Facebook with an alias. Is there a way to have two apps on iPad. I do not want to have to sign out of my main account sign into my alias sign back out and then sign back into my main account. I can just see problems. They know the programming to enable neighbours as in CS. Are they getting a kickback from facebook.

You will need to login to your alias account only to add friends.. i.e. in the starting.. after that you have to do all fb related activities in game only.. so you will probably need to operate the fb account only for a day or two.. I am also using my fb account for game only and many others are doing the same. I used web browser for this.. and now I am not logging in to the account.. maybe you can check in once a week or something..

By the way you are going at a good rate if you have collected 439 by now.. we still have 17 more days.. that means you need to collect 139 daily for the rest of the days.. seeing that you have collected 439 in two days you can easily reach 2800 if you go at the same rate..

I just click on the gold envelope every now and then to see if something pops up. You'll usually either see requests or get requests! But I am absolutely amazed at how much of a difference the quickserves make.

The best strategy I've come up with is to use the quickserves on the Rainbow Sugar when it his about 2:30 left since it only takes the 1 quickserve, then make something. I think it's around 4:00 for the 7 hour recipes to become 1 quickserve, too, if anyone was checking that. It's definitely helping the clover count, anyway, to use them for that. Just using it on the sugars alone, though, saves so much time, and you can let the other recipes sit.

Besides the goals, I really am enjoying the 10 coin foods! It's like gourmet foods but without the need for keys, and with so many recipes, it really does bring the money in. So hard or not for the goals, I like this event. :)

My bakery is linked to my personal fb account. Have set up a new fb account just for accepting bakery 2 neighbours but I cant seem to get the bakery to link to my new account. yep. and i just got silver for clover cookies, and the gold requires 4 too.

i'm pretty sure that all 6 recipes will need for mastery 4 + 4 + 4.

I anyway wait for 30 minutes because for rainbow sugar it takes 2 quickserves if you want it immediately i.e. at 3.00.00 waiting time, but after half an hour at 2.29.59 it takes 1 quickserve.. so cherries also get replenished and I have to use only one quickserve..

I joined you on fb yesterday.. but not sure that you sent me any request.. by the way at first for me also only one friend used to show up for requesting.. as I have joined fb only for playing this game, I have all my friends playing bs 2.. so I logged out from fb in game and logged in again.. then all my friends' names were showing up.. hope this helps..

I'm confused... Since the only way to finish this event seems to be by establishing an FB account I caved and actually opened an account under the [].. I then went to the BS 2 neighbors community site and sent out some friends requests ... some of which promptly got granted... However all the prople I've asked and have accepted do not show up in the friends list within the game... In that list I only see some names of people who have sent me a friends request (and some of these names appear twice in the list)... I have already deleted BS2 once and reinstalled the game .... And I always force close it once I stop playing... What else do I have to do?

Thank you Niire - that helped... Suddenly a lot more names appeared and I was able to send out some requests and actually received some quick serves - yippee! Once I had sent out the requests all those names disappeared from my friends list... Is that supposed to work that way (so I can't send more than one request to a specific person per day) or is that a glitch? And another question... When I receive quick serves I cannot see who sent them to me... All its says is sthg like Baker Friend... Is that the same for you?

If their names are like, in Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, etc (different lettering than English), then they pop up Friend Name. And yah, the list disappears...but it comes back as more names become available to ask for help. :) I think it removes the names that respond.

I still can't help my friends, it says I have helped the maximum number of friends I can today...um, that would be zero. :(

4 days done - min.600 required - we have a bit more.
means, we're ok so far.

i'd rather speed up clover exchange. when it's 3hrs left - only 1 quick serve required.

sorry.. I have one clover pot with x6 golden waiting to be converted in it!! 1 rainbow mixer as well.. No way would I spend that on a game.. I did buy gems to expand to x4 refresh in the fruit as got really frustrated waiting for the x3 when you needed x4 every time for the rainbow frosting.. The reason I cook the 2 rainbow sugars is because it saves quickserves. Each rainbow sugar is worth 10 clovers, so if you bake a 2 sugar one you spend(assuming you wait no time at all) 4 quickserves on the sugar and 2 on serving the dish. If you do a 1 sugar one, to get 20 clovers you must spend 4 on the sugars plus 4 because you are serving two dishes. But if you are not quickserving the dishes and are trying to maximize coins, you are right and the 1 sugar dishes are good. Your math is still correct, others might just be maximizing different things. :)

Yes, I do use quickserves. And I cook only the 1 sugar recipes. And somehow I now have about 2200 clovers. So collecting clovers is not my issue.

I just wanted to make sure I'm doing the right thing by not cooking the dishes with 2 sugars, to maximize coins.

You are looking at this the wrong way. You will not be selling out all of your dishes since you should have food on your counters the whole time, so what really matters is how many coins you get for eact serving. That will give you the most money per hour. Thus, 20 coins is very very good. :)

Did you try reinstalling the game? My quickserve requests didn't work properly until I uninstalled and reinstalled the game. I went from 5 a day to dozens

This is such an intense goal with heavy input. I really thought we would get a gem recipe. Very disappointed. Especially in comparison to RS 2. Here you work your butt off and spend all your time with just coins. I won't be trying hard. Already tired from the repetition.

I'm so jealous that you guys can play the secret bakers club :( I haven't been able to for many days now due to unlearnt recipes popping up in every effing order :(

With all this constant cooking round the clock, I shoot up the levels very quickly. I just got to level 37 :( In this game, it's VERY BAD to level up, as it unlocks new appliances and unlearnt recipes, which are both very expensive and unaffordable.

As of this minute, I have 5 unlearnt recipes. Yay me!! They keep taking turns popping up in the secret orders.every.single.day. They cost MILLIONS and MILLIONS, and more MILLIONS of coins to learn and/or buy the appliances. Yeah, that's not gonna happen :(

On a brighter note, the rainbow cake sells out very quickly! I'm saving all my quick serves for stacking the other rainbow dishes, so I let the rainbow cake bake for the full 4 hrs. I come back, and the counter is always empty :) I have 12 counters selling food in total. I'm very happy that the rainbow cake doesn't get stacked higher and higher like the other dishes lol

At 1663 clovers right now, no second rainbow or regular mixer, and I'm level 24. Admittedly, my mobility is limited, so I am on alot, lol. The whole point of me posting is to say...hang in there folks, it can be done! <3

It was hard to quickserve under 10 min items, but I just sucked it up and quickserved the red and blue sugar and waited 1:30 for the green one. What this helped me to do was basically check my bakery every 30 mins, quickly make rainbow sugar, and then start a 7 hr dish cooking when I had two rainbow sugars. I found that waiting for the sugar meant I had to be on my phone 24/7 and I would often forget to actually serve the sugar and start a new one. Just making a rainbow sugar or two every 30 mins has helped maximize my efficiency so that I went from having around 1,200 to 2,000 clovers in these past 2-3 days. 30 mins is still very frequent to get on, but checking every one hour is also good too. The reason why I say 30 mins is because the limiting factor here is really cherries; you need 3 per rainbow sugar while you only need 2 or less of everything else. Hopefully this strategy may help someone else, who knows :)

nop, when you do 150 clovers, you have one ex for free, but if you want, you can buy additional one for 40 gems.

I also have more than 150 clovers, the goal is checked off, but the only clover exchange available to me is to buy one for 40 gems. I force closed the game, powered off my iPad, still no clover exchange. So I uninstalled & reinstalled and STILL NO exchange.

This game is not being fun right now. Too long to make sugars, limited pantry space & the inability to delete specific quantities of items is really making this a chore, not a game.

Yup. I was quickserving the sugars too. The sugars were the hardest to get done, so all my quickserves were sunk into them. I have only one rainbow mixer, one regular mixer. And 2x the other appliances. I only cooked the 1 sugar recipes though, to maximize coins per sugar.

And yes. I was checking my game every 30 mins - 1 hour to collect cherries, and quickserved the sugars. My fruit store restocks 5. That helped a lot

I was wondering which was the beter to quickserve. :) I was waiting the 30 mins to get cherries too (my store gives 4 per round...which I just upgraded. When it was just 3? OMG ><), but waiting the 8 and 5 min sugars out. When cherries are up, I quickserve the rainbow sugar, then start over. :)

You probably already did this, but if not did you scroll thru the menu looking for it? I remember that my free exchange was not located near the gem one in the menu, it was 6 or 7 spaces farther on. Other than that I would send an email to support or PM one of the mods for help. Hope you find it!

When Finn's gold clover drop rate 'increased', I'm pretty sure it decreased for me. I've only received 3 gold clovers over the last 2 days.

The gold clovers are really rare drops. You may only see 1 or 2 per day.
You get gold clovers when you master the St Patrick new recipes .(see post 1)

This is the first event i wont be able to complete even with the lowered amount....friends request is not working...so no quick serve....and the long duration of the stuff we need to make doesnt make it possible to catch up on workdays....and now for the first time its not decoration but a recipe that i can not ever get again...dunno...it seems they wanna lose part of community...the working and the ones without loads of friends that are only friends because of the game

The reason I was wondering is that if the clovers don't matter anymore, then it makes sense to make many 1 rainbow sugar dishes to maximize the coins per rainbow sugar, instead of making the 2 rainbow sugar dishes to maximize the clovers per batch. Even though one batch of the 2 RS recipes give more plates than one batch of the 1 RS dishes, if you've got a limited supply of RS, it makes sense to make the two batches of the 1RS recipes if you've got the space, to maximize your earnings. Does that make sense?

I have nearly 300 fb friends split almost completely between BS2 and RS2 yet today have received less than 15 quick serves after requesting from all of them. Conservatively that's less than a 10% hit rate in the middle of event? I think not..

Anyhoo to get even that I had to reinstall the game after adding them all. The game didn't seem to recognise them as playing BS2 otherwise.
I'm starting to think the requests get lost if the recipient isn't playing at the time the request is sent.

The only problem with choosing 1 sugar dishes is cooking time. You get more coins per sugar with one sugar recipes but 2 sugar recipes will get more per cooking time since they take up stove space for the same amount of time.

You may want to check if your friends are playing BS2 by going into your send quickserves screen and see if they have a star and level next to their names. I have lots of friends requests but turned out that a substantial number of them aren't playing this game and they wouldn't be able to help you with quickserves. Hope this helps.

don't give up! it was slow first days, but somehow the last abt 500 clovers came much easier. don't know, maybe because of finn's golden drops... but mostly because of quick serves, as ms. tory said. i've seen you couple of days, and sent you some, as well as others. you can do it!! :)

Don't give up. The rainbow cake to be honest isn't worth the effort but stocking up as many of the 10 coin dishes as you can is. These event dishes are a great way to pay to learn a few more of those unlearnt recipes we all have.
