* Find Clues 0/3 (Note: it will take lots of collecting to find them. They are hidden in flowers, chopping rocks, bushes)

The crushed flower was from collecting flowers
The scratched rock was from chopping rocks (iron rich and outcroppings)
The torn cloth was from bushes

Note: some players moved to goal 3 before all items were found. (Known glitch only for some players), If that happens to you, once you get to "Close Enough", you will be able to look for the missing item/s to give away and complete. Keep collecting from the rocks/flowers/bushes till your missing item is found or till you find it again. Keep checking your inventory as you will need all 3 items.

No need to upgrade to Level 5! We wanted to leave the last two levels optional for you all :)

As to whether there's a part 2, I can't speculate as to what may or may not be in future releases ;) I will say, though, that it'd be a shame if we never found our Faerie friends!

Notes on the Troll training grounds from SW:
- It is fine to upgrade to level 5 if you want to. Part 2 (if and when that comes) will not be affected if you have upgraded your grounds to L5. As reported above, upgrading is optional and does not impact the type of drops you get.
- You can have 2 of these as they are a resource building.
- Be careful when in edit mode as it can be sold.

Yeah hamme fatale will lead to the usual way and tabernum connection need to be done as part of the fickle faerie line and that will start the blythewood fairy line. That line has 3 parts so patience will be a virtue. Hang in there they are some fun goals to do. Look up the fickle faerie goal line in game guides thread

Sounds like you are 'fighting the good fight' with all your chopping! :):):) the flowers will turn up I'm sure.... :) perhaps this is like trials and tributes where you have to complete a certain number of unknown actions to get the crushed flowers? Bushes worked for me too. After ****ing countless trees and then reading your post, I put out all 35 of the yellow/white bushes that I had. I think I got my ripped piece of cloth after collecting from 6 or 8 bushes. Then they all went back in storage. Now I can focus on growing replacements for my needlessly chopped-down trees.

You only have to get to lvl 3 upgrade for this part of the update but I posted all 5 so everybody could know what was to come.

did you finish the strand quest ? gather the 5 strands then travel to the plume hive? once that is complete it will take you too this. i know the info is in the hub, you can check the story lines and make sure your up to this point.

My guess is there will be a plume hive adventure, but not one that is fix in the list. Remember we produce a Fadeprint Elixir, need to be used when visiting some place.

I chopped for large rock formations and a dark cave formation without success. It took just one and a half small rocks to get there. The good thing is, I hate wasting resources and had already started adding to my " high end" beam and rock collection. Seems to me whenever lots of chopping is involved, harvesting,met nits often a clue for what's ahead.

I've had so many boars lately I left my troll out, not thinking. Regretting it now I didn't follow my own advice. Off to plant strawberries and cabbage.

Troll castle was from Troll Tribe quest, part 5. Not timed so if you haven't completed it yet you will need to. See the Hub for more info on the storylines. I'd link you, but I've no idea how to do that.

Holy guacamole - I just realised that I don't have a decent supply of Troll Clubs, and I am going to need at least 50. They require 3 Boar Tusks each. So that's 150 Boar Tusks, which drop at an average of about 1 per 3 boars. So that's 450 boars I need to find. Seriously!!!!??? (Actually I have 50 in stock, so it's not QUITE that bad but I still need 300 boars!).

is this just me....or is that a rough one??

Edit: The irony is that the one other source of Boar Tusks is the Feral Lands adventure, which requires.....wait for it.....3 boar clubs! (9 tusks for an average return of about 2).

I kinda like this long quest line that's NOT timed, we have time to work on supplies, fix up the kingdom after the zoo thing, decorate a little.
Also this might keep us busy long enough so s8 can work their magic, like bug fixes and create new things for us. Don't rush it, enjoy the ride.

Well needing 6 days (6 visits to the troll castle) to get through the next goals, you have time to find them. I was lucky that the crushed flower dropped quite quickly.

Just made third trip to Troll Castle and Pit. Saw progress flag but visits were not registered. still at 2/5 like yesterday. Did not see a sync issue, force closed twice, and did a delete and reinstall. Still 2/5. Sent email to support and reported in bugs thread as well as here. I chopped 2 rock outcroppings and got the item on the last chop, took only about 4 collections from the bushes for the second item, and about 30 white flowers for 3rd item - kept running out of energy. :)

I really don't understand the need for a training ground when we already have the troll sparring pit. I guess instead of spawning trolls (for training), it will be dropping water & fertilizer. Maybe on the rare chance bones cause we accidentally ****ed one of our opponents. Now...if it would drop troll horns, troll clubs, armor & longswords (because those things came from the opponent we defeated) it would actually be a useful resource building but doubt that will be the case.

things happen , and we dont always have control , they read the forums , and they fix what they can in a timely manner. i dont recall a free ipad game that had a set of people that responded so quickly.

my game was off for about 15 minutes. i reported here, made a joke about it , and moved on. before i left the forums i saw someone posted it was back up , and it was.

i do hope your game gets fixed in a timely manner also. good luck on your zoo quest.

Since this is not a timed event and nuggets can be hard to find, you might want to first build up a supply of extra nuggets before spending them on this event. This part of the story line ends with giving the nuggets and upgrading the training ground to level 3. The event might be continued tomorrow, or it might lie dormant for months. Either way, it will wait for you till you are ready to do it.

S8 has been very fond of requiring gold nuggets in both timed and untimed events. I'd consider not using the nuggets on this event unless I had a least 10 total, preferably 15. I like to be prepared.

Just found out as well. I think the ability to upgrade even more (higher than level 3) is not intended...
I guess that should be possible in part 2 of this questline.

This has happened at least 6x in a row now!? I've completely depleted my tusk resources (was maxed out at beginning of part 1) and am having zero luck being able to grow that resource back. I wasn't having any trouble with this until recently, my training grounds is at level 4. I don't feel a need to upgrade yet but I would like to replenish my resource. I am with you on the tusks. Long dry spell now an occasional tusk. Same for troll essence. 2 in 3 days despite collecting from all things troll and ****ing boars. And my training ground, just xps. Talk about spells of bad luck?
But there's other questing to do, so there's no rush.

Therefore me myself and I guess others wonder if there has been some kind of mistake, why can we suddenly level up till 5, what if we do, what if we don't, will there be part 2, and will there be a conflict then, etc. etc.

I totally begrudge using up my stock of gold nuggets... I'm still struggling to recoup after the last few upgrades where they were swallowed up.
There should be a gold mine... Just gold ... Even if it was one nugget per day.
I've LOADS of golden apples and eggs... But nuggets are far harder to come by.

If you want us to use golden nuggets at every upgrade..... You need to give us the opportunity to find more... Otherwise the game gets slow and boring!

I have been diligently gathering the grounds, but so far only 1 Troll Horn. The rest not even coins, just 1 XP. I stored on as I need my energy elsewhere :rolleyes:

Hoarding pays :) it took me a while to reach to the training pit as getting shards took forever. Then visiting pits and castle with 22 hours timer, but this morning I was able to upgrade the pit to level 5 in matter of seconds :)

I have gotten troll essence a few times from the level 3, nothing from the level 1.
I too have been checking everything troll related in hopes of getting an extra club or two. I know I have gotten those and the horns as rare drops from Kaz's abode and the troll castle, but so far....none. However, I did get a gold nugget from the troll vault today, so I'm calling it a win! :o

I'm leaving the training arena at level three for now, because I don't want to get stuck during the next update, trying to upgrade the spare. I don't yet have enough troll clubs to upgrade past level 4 anyway. (32 and counting!)
It's a balancing act with energy...trying to fight boars and collect coins for the current event. (Cottages and jewelers seem to attract them very well lately, even though their tusks seem to have been poached about half the time.:() This is the most fun I've had playing this game in a long while!

No need to upgrade to Level 5! We wanted to leave the last two levels optional for you all :)

As to whether there's a part 2, I'm can't speculate as to what may or may not be in future releases ;) I will say, though, that it'd be a shame if we never found our Faerie friends!

It says iron rich & outcroppings (the very large one)

And flowers I don't think it matters much although I collected mostly from the Icelandic poppy (the white one). Others have had luck with other flowers. Good luck!

I'm pleased to report that I actually have found all three items in one evening... And the crushed flower was found under an Iceland poppy shrub! So you can add that to the info. It did count as a flower. Poppy pillows I call them, as they look like little pillows.
