View Full Version : Level 99 on my ipod, level 1 on phone

Hi, I really need some help with an issue I have. Yesterday while I was playing my game on my phone, I went to check my food and saw that my game had somehow and I don't even understand how, went back to level 1 on my phone. I am a level 99 player. I play on both my iPod and phone. I have been playing for 3 years and never once had that problem. What's going on here? And can I please have some help to fix this? Also my iPod was not affected. It still says level 99.

Please try restarting your game to see if this corrects the issue.
If not, please send an email to support@storm8.com for assistance in recovering your games.

Haleycat, this identical problem happened to me just a while ago! (Game was fine on my iPad but back to level 1 on my phone. And it only occurred with RS...no other game.) No amount to trying to log in to my current account with my S8 ID and password would help. I finally deleted the game from my phone and reinstalled it, and all is well...the game synced up right away. I hope it works for you, too!

I have tried restarting it several times. And I have sent an email last night. Haven't gotten a real reply with help yet.

Please try as lynniefish suggested and delete and redown the game from the app store.

I did it and it's not working. I'm really unhappy. I have been a loyal player for 3 years. I don't want to stop playing because of this reason.

I'm in exactly the same boat as haleycat and have also tried deleting and reinstalling the app.

Even prior to downloading the new app update I couldn't get into my game. Instead a level 1 guest game would appear. Trying to use my Storm8 ID and password for the account transfer feature would just result in that generic level 1 game loading up again and again.

And as haleycat has said the account transfer feature is not there at all in the new app update, so I'm stuck with the level 1 guest game.

I knew I couldn't be the only one. I also saw some people saying it in the reviews in the app store. I think something got screwed up in the game. It really sucks that we're dealing with this.

I have sent an email. I haven't gotten any REAL help. If this can't be fixed, I will quit this game. It won't be worth playing anymore.

First they took away the block button in Bakery Story, now your not able to log in from another device while your away. Why does Storm8 keep doing these things? I'm not a happy camper right now! Not exactly sure why we need to "save game progress" when it has always automatically done that anyway. Looks to me like there is more to this story then they are telling us. Now, if I'm away for an extended period of time, I can't take my game with me, which means I'm stuck within the confines of time restraint when cooking and will have to shut down shop if I'm a way for longer then is necessary to serve longer cooked items! Between the slowing down of coins earned, raising prices on Gems, decor, and now this, players are starting to get frustrated. I know I am. :(

This happened to me last night. iPad and Android phone. There is a thread on this for Android. They updated the app for at least iPad and apparently didn't make sure Android would still work.

I have the same problem as well. Sent an email as suggested. Before doing so I did try deleting/downloading the game as well as signing into the game through the "new" level 1 game. I sure hope I haven't lost everything...

I just knew I couldn't have been the only one dealing with this. Storm8, we are really frustrated with this. The reason I play on both devices is because I don't have WiFi everywhere I go to. It makes me angry that you have taken away a feature which many players used. Now I can only play this game on my iPod. And that really limits me. I will stick with it for now, but not sure how long. If worse comes to worse, I will be looking for a new game to play. It really sucks, because I really did love this game for years.

I see. That really sucks because I love being able to play on both of my devices. I hope they can somehow fix this. But I won't put too much hope into it.

Why do they want to connect it to Facebook? Playing games through facebook is about so 10 years ago.
I spent a year deleting friends who did nothing but post game requests and updates.

This. Why would they want to do that when we already had a good way of saving our progress to the actual servers. It makes me so mad that they would change things for no reason.

So many reasons to use different devices...wifi, battery life, convenience, being able to actually see the screen, and so on. If we are not allowed to access our game on different devices, I'm done.

(I have contacted tech support. My most recent experience with them, just a couple of weeks ago, was ridiculously tedious and completely unsatisfactory. Not holding out much hope for this one.)

It would be nice if an employee of storm 8 would post to let the customers know what is going on. Are people going to have a way to log into other accounts?

Maybe an update from someone in the know could make a post about what is going on so players are not all frantic would help quell all the concerns and help people not feel so upset over all the uncertainty going on.

Try logging in through Fruit Mania. It still has a log in feature through the settings button.
Be sure to force close RS first.
Hoping that gets your game back.

They really messed this me up, they reset my game too,,I've been playing for over 6 years and I not starting over on level 1

I thought I was the only one who encountered this problem!
I can access Bakery Story and Restaurant Story with ease on my iPad, but on my Samsung Galaxy S5, Bakery Story works perfectly but Restaurant Story sets me back to the start. I tried logging in with my Storm8 ID, but even after overwriting the progress, I still get the Level 1 basic Restaurant Story starter. Deleting the app and downloading it again didn't help either.

Restaurant Story 1.7.8 will not have access to the login feature any longer as we're working to roll out a new feature. If you have a secondary account that you're unable to access with the new update, please email support@storm8.com for assistance.
