Is there a limit to how many maps or lotus flowers you can receive in a day? How many neighbours can you ask at one time?

Yes there is a limit, it seems to be 21.

You can ask all your neighbours at once and what you can't receive the first day (i.e. over the 21) seems to arrive in following days, although I only seem to receive for two sequential days, very rarely will anything arrive on the third day.
