Sooooooo... The white alicorn that is normally 600 gems is now 400 gems.
A nice discount but as we've been reminded elsewhere, not a sale at all for those players who are fortunate enough to have the Love Shack and can ALWAYS get an alicorn for 400 gems.

Hmm... My suspicions are telling me that this sale is a sign that we won't see a rerelease of the Love Shack for the rest of us schmucks *again* this Valentine's. And that prospect *REEEALLY* bums me out.

*major sigh*

QUESTION: Is it worth it?? Does it really restore FULL energy, and if so, how often?

40 energy once a week hardly seems worth the price. I would pass even if I had enough gems at the moment (which I don't).

I think that having one alicorn can hardly make any difference. I have seven, one for each day of the week plus many spare parts sitting in my inventory that i don't have any need for at the moment. I really believe that s8 should re-release the love shack for players who weren't around the first time since they are in great disadvantage compared to the ones who have it.

I noticed that recently I had used my last saved up Wing to craft an Alicorn with a newly found horn. It's the first time I've been without any extra pieces since I got the first one. I wondered then if maybe they were going to "phase out" being able to create Alicorns. Maybe this is a "last chance" sale? Maybe they are going to introduce a new creature?

Please can someone tell me what triggers the ability to craft an Alicorn (I can't find the right thread)? It would be handy to know if I am close or not. (my current goals are sister, sister and the blythewood sapling part 2 if that helps at all)

You need the Love Shack which was a goal way back before Valentine's 2013. If you don't have the Love Shack, then you can only get an Alicorn by spending gems.

Thank you meme1098, that's really helpful. I did get the Wedding Alicorn a little while ago; the 5-10 or so energy per day is handy, and I shall treasure it more now I know I am not likely to get another!! 400 is a lot of gems, even on a sale!

Any idea how long the limited time sale is for? I do not have the love shack, I started playing just a few months too late for that and so I find the Alicorn sale to be incredibly helpful. An Alicorn a day for extra energy or even 2 can be a huge plus when you're at a higher level with a large kingdom. Just wondering if we know how long we have to decide on purchasing...
