Not sure how long you've been playing, but RS and BS both only get monthly goals. January's goals were the Winter Wedding ones; we won't get another set until February actually starts - so, probably next week or the week after.

However, we had a Mega Valentine's Sale (http://forums.storm8.com/showthread.php?77860-Mega-Valentine-s-Sale) last year that started around this time. I'd love to see that come back! :)

I second the Mardi Gras request! I'd love some more Mardi Gras/New Orleans recipes and decor. Made a post about that in the suggestions thread (http://forums.storm8.com/showthread.php?55358-Restaurant-Story-Theme-Suggestions/page37#post1235180) as well. If not this week, then I really hope we could get it next week :)

I also really want the Jazz Band back. It was a bundle exclusive last year, but it would be great to be able to buy it on its own:

Pessimistically, though, I'm expecting a Greek update. Bakery Story and Restaurant Story have been recycling themes all month, and the Laurel Leaves situation seems to be more evidence of a Greek update:


Hi everyone, the Laurel Leaves have been removed from the market. Any players who bought them while they were available will be able to keep them, but they won't be able to purchase more. You can look forward to them being re-released for real in a future update. :)

I think Greek would be an awesome theme for the restaurant! Yes please. Although you're right that they need to stop recycling things. But I really want the Greek theme as it will add more variety to the game.

EDIT: Okay, having had the chance to look at the preview in more detail, I figured I'd share some more thoughts.

I really really like the column stools :) I think they're cute and would work nicely with the other column floor decorations that are already in the game. I hope they won't be for gems.

I also really like that we're getting Greek Salad (presumably) as a recipe. With how many salad recipes we have now, it's inspired me to eventually try out a salad bar theme in my restaurant. The other recipes (gyro and moussaka?) also look good, but I wish the moussaka, or the recipe that's being served in what looks to be a baking pan, were served in a serving bowl instead. We've been getting a lot of countertop recipe servings recently that are being presented in pans, or baking sheets, or other cookware items, and I wish it would stop. It's not like our dishwashers are complaining, after all :p

Also glad to see the Laurel Leaves back. It looks like they've been stretched out a bit since their initial appearance in RS, and it's nice to see that they're taking up the whole wall panel.

The major concern I have is that there doesn't seem to be much in the preview :( The lack of floor decorations make this appear to be a really light update, and there's a lot that could have been done with this theme: a background overlooking buildings and boats, like this:

Mosaic tile flooring, Greek friezes for the wall, Greek pottery as a floor decoration, Greek statues, maybe a Greek temple as a 4x4 piece, etc.

However, themes have been revisited before in Restaurant Story (French and Chinese being the most obvious, but I think Italian has had more than one update as well), and I hope this becomes one of them. I honestly would love a set of Greek-themed goals :)

Overall, I'm looking forward to this update. Despite the low number of items, I feel like I could combine what will be added with what's already on the market to decorate my restaurant well, and that's always a plus for me.

Still disappointed about the BS-RS-theme-cycling, though, and still hoping February is a different story (no pun intended) for both games.

hooray for a sale! i don't even care that i haven't seen what's in it yet, i'm just glad it exists. i infinitely would have preferred a good christmas sale, that being a holiday i love and v-day being something i don't care about, but maybe last year was just another experiment, seeing if they could get the player base to spend lots on new stuff by having no old stuff available, and now they've realized it's more profitable to also release previous items and they'll keep having periodic sales forever!

Got the Cupid Fountain (2nd prize) from the Valentine 2013 box. Very pleased.

Nice sale, S8! So happy for the newer players. I had a lot of the floor dec pieces already but this was a great way to load up on wallpaper and get more tables and chairs. Sure would be nice to have this repeated at FS and BS!

Looked at the update offerings as well but nothing appeals for the prices. At some point, I may get a couple of the ovens. Still working on the goal stuff and finishing recipes on the Christmas ovens.

I agree. I'm really happy with this sale. Although, I should have saved my gems because I didn't expect it and spent them two

hours before the sale hit! Oops! But, all in all, I think it is a really cool sale. The only thing missing is floor tiles, which I would like to

Yes - they accidentally released them with the goals but they removed them within a few hours into the goals and now they are permanantly available in store

2x1 still seems a bit tiny to me for a 2nd place prize. Not sure if it's worth it for me personally, but it could come in handy if/when Lee finally gets a date in my Dating Game ;)

hours before the sale hit! Oops! But, all in all, I think it is a really cool sale. The only thing missing is floor tiles, which I would like to

yeah i am. this sale isnt much different from last years. i already bought what i wanted then. for players who werent playing at the time its great, but for those who were this is probably no more than: oh well, might buy one or two more gem items......so i can finally spend them on something after no halloween or xmas sale. to me, this sale or no sale woulda been the same. i personally was looking forward to halloween and xmas which never happened. those are the only holidays that would get me to buy gems.

I agree with you. I wanted the Spooky chest to come back and I was hoping for a Halloween and Christmas sale too. I would like the fire pit oven to be re released too.

Yes - they accidentally released them with the goals but they removed them within a few hours into the goals and now they are permanantly available in store
