First try for the Tortigloo is 12 hours, so I imagine that it is a Shock Fox. I still need a Tesllama, so Electric/Earth isn't a bad combination for me even though the fails are a bit long.

I looove my epic Nocturtle and definitely would like to have this one but since it doesn't appear to be limited I'm sticking with gem-fire attempts for a while longer I think.

I had already decided to stick with gem-fire for a while longer too and didn't want to get lured in by the "limited" aspect of this animal. It wasn't until now that your post caused me to check the Shop's description: you're right, no blue "limited time" banner! It looks like it's just the sale that's limited, which then would be very good news as I want to try quite a bit more for getting the Garnet Griffin first. :)

Sounds like a good plan! I will do the same. These fast-paced gem attempts are very refreshing after the recent long fail times. I don't want to see another long timer in the den for a while unless it's 45 or 48 hours! :)

Agreed 100%!
I too have had it for a while with all those long fails and just 1-2 breeding attempts a day. With the short 1-hour fails it's a lot more exciting as a fail doesn't directly set you back for most (or all) of the rest of the day and already in one hour another shot can be had... :D
I'm enjoying these attempts, even if of course I need none of the dozens of pyro ponies I've bred. ;)

I agree that I don't think the animal itself is actually going to be limited, just the sale and the goal. For me, I'm not super excited about this one and am a little bred out after trying for the last few animals. So I'll be continuing my own plan of various 4-element attempts for a chance at that long desired crystal unicorn! ^_^

I believe timer is 16h. I just got 16h with Crystal Unicorn and Thorilla, and I don't see another Electric/Earth 16h timer on a breeding list. The egg also looks like igloo blocks so it seems very likely!

I put in the Pearl Peryton with Thorilla for an attempt at the rainguin and fingers crossed maybe the turtigloo.... An I guess it was my lucky day... Got a 16 hr timer. I thought it was a beever fail as at that time I did not have the hatch time for turtigloo. But a couple of minutes back when I popped the egg on to the nest a pleasant surprise... The Turtigloo ... On my first attempt.
Well that's new for me . I hardly get anything on my 1st attempt.

If this is the only 16 hour timer for a lightning and earth combo, then I think I have it! I got it on my second try with lightning leopard and rock rhino. I will definitely know when I put it on my nest in a few hours!

Five tries for the Tortiglo so far without breeding it. I have just bred two Super Rares in a row for the first time since June 2015. The first one was a duplicate Terradactyl. Hopefully, the one in the Breeding Den will be a Tesllama which I don't have.

UPDATE: Well my bad breeding luck continues. I bred two Terradactyls in a row and now another Shock Fox on try number 6 to create a nice 10 hour gap between the Nest and my Breeding Den.

My eight attempt for the Tortiglo was the charm and there is a 16 hour timer in my Breeding Den. Strange results on this one. Of my 7 failures, 5 were the common Shock Fox and the other two were the Super Rare Terradactyl on consecutive attempts. So the Tortiglo was thepnly Electric/Earth Rare that I bred while trying for it or a Tesllama.

Typical Month, managed the to breed the 3 Rares released so far but missed out on both of the Super Rares.

Just got 16HR breeding time with RockRino and Lighting leopard. If it's the only 16HR I got it. Only had 4 fails if so of ShockFox.

The Tortigloo is still in the market, albeit now for 1000 gems. It appears the only thing limited about it was the sale.
