original post: since it's now within 24 hours of the update, predict away! i'm going with a glamorous party with guests in gorgeous slinky dresses, now that all our friends want to show off their newly svelte figures. (one week of yoga has amazing effects in story-land.)

It's tongue-in-cheek, but I really liked the suggestion deekathleen made on the goals thread. Basically, the aftermath of healthy/resolution goals: people passed out on the floor with swirly eyes, surrounded by doughnuts and other unhealthy treats, with chocolate frosting smeared all around their mouth. :p Would be a little cartoonish, but I think it would be cute! :D

Otherwise, I'd really like a juice bar to go with the prizes we got for the goals, so hopefully we'll get that if S8 decides to continue the healthy theme into this week. Failing that, maybe a winter theme (and hopefully also a sale).

Failing all of those... a crate. :( I'll bet my socks it'll be a Garnet Crate, considering how many birthstones S8 has themed into boxes. It's a shame, though; I would have really appreciated some Pome-Garnet recipes (http://forums.storm8.com/showthread.php?55345-Bakery-Story-Theme-Suggestions/page69#post1235264)...

okay, for those of you who were actually under the impression people celebrated a national blondie day in america: pretty much every day of the year is designated as the something-or-other day. multiple things, in fact. weeks and months are not exempt. almost no one ever knows what any of them are, unless you happen to be a huge fan of that particular item or work as that particular job or hallmark's gotten a hold of it or something.

for example, today is both national cheese lover's day and national buttercrunch day, and tomorrow is granola bar day and new england clam chowder day. and that's just the food ones! today is also camcorder day and penguin awareness day. but there's this thing called google, and i felt like wishing my neighbors something other than a happy wednesday today, so i thought i'd see if there were any good "holidays" to say Happy Something Day, and while i was there i saw blondie day.

Kinda happy about this since it gives the potential of a nice garnet-themed update next week, and that gemstone won't get stuffed into a box. Hoping we'll get a nice appliance for it next week (with pome-garnet recipes if I'm extra lucky!)

Severely disappointed that the themes have cycled for RS and BS this month though. Predictions for next week: something Chinese New Year-themed in Bakery, and a Greek update in RS, to ensure that the circle is complete in both games.

RIP Storm8's creativity. You will be missed.

Everything in the preview pictures looks very Christmassy to me. There are some cute items, but as usual, the timing is not good. I would have opened this box in November or December, but now I'm past wanting anything that looks like Christmas. Besides that, with my luck with boxes, I wil end up with the dog ;)

Well, I ended up with pooch (saw that coming, of course), 2 of the cakes, a snowy bouquet and the Bride.

The dog, now that I can see it up close, is okay. Not worth 24 gems, as we all know. Got him watching the kids who are tossing snowballs, which he finds far more interesting than waiting for the Groom to appear.

OK maybe this is just me, but if its the middle of winter and there's snow on the ground why on earth would you have an outside wedding? There's no way I'd be attending, I'd much rather stay warm and cozy inside, but since this is storm8land I guess we have to do all special occasions outside. Also is it me or are the people in displays starting to look weirder and weirder? I also noted how the hairstyles are becoming much more colorful than the people themselves... Rose Cake hasn't been removed from tab yet, was released as a regular update for IOS and new game version for android during Valentine's 2013. If you didn't get new version then for android, it won't show up on your tab now though.

Most bakeries have a few different sections and themes going on, because there just isn't enough of one thing. At least that way, we would know what to expect for the month. It wouldn't necessarily be another pirates disaster either, because the updates are so sporadic and lame lately anyway. I'd be willing to try anything just for something new.

The forums also really need a "thanks or helpful" button, just to show a little appreciation to the countless helpful people around here. It's honestly the biggest reason why I still come to the forums and play this app at all. If S8 won't show their gratitude to their customers, at least we could show it to each other.

I like it as an idea, but i think it wouldn't execute well. Because there are always players who don't like a particular theme, even ones that are popular, and that would mean they'd know right away that they'd be unhappy for the whole month. We might get a lot of ...interesting... items now, but at least when you see an update you don't like, you're generally not going to have to face it again next week (well, unless you play RS too these days).

and i like the idea of a thanks button! agreed, some forum users are fantastically helpful. but i will say, while i'm not a fan of the current creativity & effort being expended by S8 on the games i love, they have sent me a nice thank you note before. so they're sometimes appreciative!

Could you also pass along to them that the sleigh is extremely small also. These are not free items, and the constant size issues is becoming a problem. Could you also pass along to them that the sleigh is extremely small also. These are not free items, and the constant size issues is becoming a problem. The item was enlarged a bit, but cannot be made any bigger to match other "normal" decos. since players have already placed this item out on their board.

Increasing the plot size will cause issues.

The sizing feedback has been passed over to the team for future updates.:)
