As title, Can I buy gems to someone else?

I think the only way to do it is to send them the money to their pay pal account. Likewise on Apple sending iTunes gift card numbers.
Of course you would want to discuss this outside of the game.

Storm8 and Team Lava seem to be very anti ingame currency exchange. I wish it were possible I have some neighbors that I have made friends with and would love to gift them gems or rare items bought with gems.
