From what I have learned by participating in the Dragon Tales events. Commonly asked questions are in red. Information specific to this Dragon Tales event (food requirements, special crafted items, etc.) will be added to the top of this post as the information becomes available.

Food Requirements
Based on Past events, we will need to bring Jack and King to level 10 and probably higher.
Jack dragon: Rare, 3 hours, Royal-White-Blue
. . . . . 38,460 food to reach level 10 (20+80+160+400+1000+2000+4800+10,000+20,000)
. . . . . an additional 72,000 food to reach level 12 (30,000+42,000)
. . . . . for a total of 110,460 food for levels 1-12
King dragon: Super Rare, 4 hours, Royal-Yellow-Red
. . . . . 38,460 food to reach level 10 (20+80+160+400+1000+2000+4800+10,000+20,000)
. . . . . an additional 72,000 food to reach level 12 (30,000+42,000)
. . . . . for a total of 110,460 food for levels 1-12
If you can't raise that much food, you have the option of skipping some of it for gold. If you skip feeding a dragon to level 11, you are setting yourself up for skipping the feedings for levels 12 & 13 as you can't feed for level 12 without feeding for level 11. Of course you can always level it up after skipping, but then you have wasted gold. It is best to skip the last feedings if you are going to skip feedings at all.

Special Quests
Royal Bluff - send Jack dragon to quest for Royal Regalia or Secret Scrolls, 3 hours
. . . . . looks like there are two possible rewards for this quest, probably best to do some questing ahead
. . . . . of time so you have what you need when you are required to craft a special item.
Full House - send Jack dragon to quest for Decks of Fate, 4 hours

Special Crafted Items
Royal Road, requires 2 Decks of Fate (Full House quest) and 1 Secret Scroll (Royal Bluff quest), 1 hour
Chest of Diamonds, requires 3 Royal Regalia (Royal Bluff quest), one small blue gem, and 1 Deck of Fates (Full House quest), 1 hour.
Check your storage for small blue gems. If you don't have any, trade dragons early in the event so you have the gems you need on hand when you are required to craft a special item.

How it works
*The first possible day of the event begins at reset (10:30 am Pacific time).
*Each day ends and the next day starts at midnight Pacific time.
*Each day ends at a fixed time relative to when you started the event. Say you start on a Tuesday, day 2 starts Wednesday at midnight Pacific time, day 3 starts Thursday at midnight Pacific time, etc. If you skip ahead on day 1 to play the tasks for day 2, you will still have to wait until Thursday at midnight Pacific time to start the tasks for day 3 unless you spend more gold to skip ahead again.
*Each day has a series of tasks. At the end of day one, you will receive a dragon. This dragon will need to be leveled up during the event and will need to go on special quests as prompted. You probably need to take this dragon to level 10 or above, so plan your food accordingly as it may take 100,000 food.
*The tasks get increasingly difficult and more time consuming each day. The first 3 days are pretty easy and could all be completed in one day if needed.
*You do not need to complete each day within that day. If you fall behind a day you will not have to wait until midnight for the next step, it will start right away.
*The prize for the first day is a dragon. Even if you don't want to try to complete the event, you can play day 1 to get this dragon. There may be a second dragon mid way through the event that can be acquired fairly easily as well.
*There are prizes for completing the tasks for each day of the event. Day 1 you get the dragon mentioned above. On days 2-7 the prizes may be coins & experience points, special event related decoration, food, or maps.
*If you complete the event, you will receive an Ultra Rare dragon.
*If the event ends before you have completed every task, you will not get the final prize.
*Each task may be skipped by using gold. Parts of tasks may not be skipped by using gold. Say you need to plant 7 crops and you plant 6, it will cost the full skip amount for planting the 1 remaining crop.
*Tasks may differ for players below level 31 as these players can't battle yet.

When to Start
*You do not need to start right away. There is a window of time in which you may start the game. Your 10 days start when you start the event so your day 1 may be different from your neighbor's day 1. At the end of this time window, the event will automatically start. You can chose not to participate in the event if you wish. A delayed start will also give you time to save up food and trade duplicate dragons for gemstones required in the event.
*The last 3-4 days of the event will require a lot of attention. Schedule the event to work with your personal schedule. Maybe you have a family reunion and will be busy all weekend. It may make sense for you to start on Friday as the first 3 days are quick and easy (day 1 usually takes 5 minutes total, and day 2 usually takes 5-10 minutes if you plan ahead). Whereas, if you started on Tuesday you would need to spend a lot of time with the game. This either compromises your reunion or your ability to complete the event.
*Days 1-3 can be completed in one day if necessary. Say the event automatically starts and you aren't free to play yet. No problem, start when you can.
*Starting a day or two or three after the event begins means you will know what all the tasks are based on the information posted here on the forum. It is always easier if you know what to expect.
*There is a good chance we will have a tournament during the event. It may be a 3 day flash tournament starting on a Friday or a 6 day tournament starting on a Tuesday. Keep this in mind when deciding when to start the event. You do not want to battle the toughest dragons of a tournament during chapters 9 and 10. On the other hand, the beginning of a tournament with the early and easy opponents, can be a great help during the last chapters. We don't know when tournaments will happen, just keep it in mind when deciding when to start the event.

General Tips
*Check the forum for information on the tasks required for each day of the event. Use this information to plan your approach to the event. It will be much easier if you know what to expect and when you need to be ready to breed, battle, quest, craft, etc.
*Do not use gold to skip to the next day. It is not worth it unless you are doing so strategically.
*Some tasks can be done ahead of time: quests, crafting (such as spell scrolls, hedges, etc.), and leveling up the dragon received on day 1. Do not collect until prompted or it will not count!
Some tasks cannot be done ahead of time such as breeding and battling. If one of the tasks is to mate a certain dragon, you need to wait for the prompt or it will not count. Same goes for battling, you need to be prompted first.
*There is a big difference between raise your dragon to a certain level and feed your dragon. If you are asked to raise the dragon this can be done ahead of time without penalty. If you are asked to feed the dragon you must wait until prompted or it will not count.
*You may need to breed two days in a row. Make sure your breeding den is available when needed. Plan your breeding for outcomes less than 24 hours if you need to breed the next day.
*Each task may be skipped by using gold. The amount of gold varies depending on the task. Try to avoid using gold at the beginning of the event as the event will get more difficult each day and the temptation, or need, to skip tasks will increase.
*If you are stuck on a particularly difficult battle, consider speeding up the time between battles instead of using an Ultimate hit. It only cost 4 gold to battle again right away compared to the 12 gold for Ultimate (30 gold if there is a tournament). You may choose to use Ultimate if you don't have many good battling dragons. If you do use Ultimate, use it within the battle rather than skipping the entire task from the event interface.
*You may need to raise a dragon to a level above 10. You need to buy a Noble Crystal and place it on your isle to do this. Find it in the market under the buildings tab. The cost is 500,000 coins and there is no build time.

Troubleshooting
*If you have completed a task and you haven't received credit for it (such as leveling up a dragon), try force closing and reopening your game. To force close, double click on the home button and swipe up on any apps you wish to force close. If that fails, try deleting our game and reinstalling it. Your game progress is saved on storm8's servers so you shouldn't lose any progress. You may wish to make sure you have a login for your storm8 account just in case you need it after reinstalling your game.

Planning for the next Dragon Tales event
*Have a variety of small gemstones on hand. It is always easier to not need to speed breed, evolve, and trade just to craft an item. The best way to do this is to trade your duplicate rare dragons. Rare dragons will give at least 2 small gemstones. Common dragons can work as they will give one small gemstone though it may not be the color you want. For instance, Wild is a common red-green dragon. Trading it will give you either a small green or a small red gemstone.
*Consider keeping a stash of food on hand to level up the dragon received on day 1 and probably a second dragon. So far, the most food required for a single event has been about 380,000.

Just finished taking rising sun to epic a few days ago, based on what these dragons look line I probably shouldn't have bothered lol. On the same vein I am glad I popped Eternal on for the final round last night and have time to finish building up a bit before I start this as I figured they wouldn't start till next week based on the spin to win. Should have known better lol. But just as well gives us something to do besides building a database. On the other hand I can stop trying so hard for chess! These look awesome!

That tree decoration looks best out of the bunch. The base models for Jack and King look wonky in their animations and the decoration on the dragons is just over the top for me. I'll give it a try in a few days when more about the goals is known but I'm not going to spend a ridiculous amount of food/gold for this

I always start at the last day, so I'll continue to save up food, too. I just simply want to know first what lies ahead of us, what I can prepare in advance, how much food I need, if we need a certain dragon for breeding/quests etc.
But 110.000 is really good. You still have a couple days and then you still have time during the event. I'm sure you'll be fine :)

Genko1, 4 x Diamondates and 1 x Rushrooms x 7 farms = 24,500 a day. Do not feed anyone!

We usually only ever plant Diamondates and Rushrooms (and Upgrapes if we have time) and we do this regularly. So you really have to play this game full-time if you want as much food as possible in a short time. And of course the most difficult part is to not spend too much food on dragons :D When I save food I usually only ever feed my dragons to level 4 and the rest has to wait. Sometimes I make an exception (like I did for Prime Eternal this week), but that throws you back a couple day (e.g. Prime Eternal ate ~ 100.000 food). And when a new Dragon Tales event is announced you'll know how much food you actually need and how much you can use for other dragons. I also fed some dragons during the World event because World events and Dragon Tales events don't happen at the same time.

You basically need to get a feel for it - When could a new event start, how much food could it cost, how much food can I get in a single day, what dragons are my priority etc.

Yep! I just popped the Festive Lights Dragon in to craft, it takes 36 hours. Doesn't look like we need to craft anything for the first couple of days. You have just enough time to craft it before it goes away; or gets in your way for this event. I sped thru my last 5 battles so I could go ahead and get my arena one done and out of the way!
I hardly ever have food saved up, but didn't have any trouble finishing these events until the last two. Upping the Dragon levels to 15, and requiring us to raise one that high during an event seems a little too much. I think the events should be doable without gems. (Or huge amounts of food saved up! I can hardly feed my mob of hungry Dragons as it is! Or maybe some more choices for growing food... )

Thank god I wasn't evolving due to them taking forever to remove Abyss. So I've just been stockpiling food. Over 350k in apples so I'm ready for this! I'm just nervous about the blue gems we may need for crafting. Right now I only have 4.

From what I've read so far it seems like we need to hatch a Genie dragon this time (chapter 7). We'll probably need to wait a bit for some confirmation, but I'm a bit worried. I got pretty lucky with my Life dragon last time (first or second try and it was blocking my nest for like a week), so maybe it's my time to struggle now.
Another thing I read is that we'll need to craft 2 Crest Of Diamonds and both dragons need to be level 15 this time, but they're both not expensive. It's ~ 220.000 apples in total.

As I said, I would like to have that confirmed first and I'll probably have to wait a while for it, but all in all it would be less stressful than the last Dragon Tales.

TwinkleTwiny, I think it depends on your personal game objectives. As Roguebee and I were discussing on another thread, each player has their own objectives and idiosyncrasies. I didn't buy the special habitat for the first Tales I did and I regretted it later. Luckily I managed to get it in the Black Friday sales. I've already bought this one. Collecting the habitats is part of the game for me, but not for others. Everyone has their own playing style.

I have to say I find this particular habitat rather garish. In fact the dragons are a bit garish too, but perhaps they will grow on me. I like Black Ice, Ice Queen, Firestorm type dragons. Those have STYLE! LOL

To Genko1: Yes, well, you may struggle I suggest without the ability to produce the food. It is good that you are a realist! You might make the second prize. Be aware too that different levels have in the past had different tasks. Lower levels' tasks are less onerous. What level are you? You may not need as much food as those of us on higher levels. Just go as far as you can and don't stress.

As you get to higher levels you will be better equipped to complete the Tales!

Seems you may be correct. Interesting if Storm8 have dropped it back to 12, means they do listen to their customer base, at least some of the time.

Something I find alarming is that a Royal Flush is Ace, King, Queen, Jack, 10 of the same suit according to he who wrote the definitive book and rules on cards, someone called HOYLE!
Seems somewhat strange that we are again short changed, we only get King, Queen, Jack and the newbies are really royally robbed, please forgive the pun with King and Jack.

Random, I honestly don't feel the newbies are robbed. The Wheel has often had different dragons on it for lower levels too. You already have a game at 180 and you are an experienced player, but many at Level 13 don't and aren't. They'd have no chance and feel thoroughly defeated.

A Tales structured appropriately for the level of the customer with prizes adjusted accordingly is, in my view, a darn good idea. As they progress to higher levels they'll reap the rewards in later Tales with more experience under their belts that I had when I did my first.

As for Hoyle - the use of "flush" could well be a play on words. This is a dragon game, after all, not a card game! :D

EDIT: I just went and looked at my daughter's island. Level 13 (nearly 14 looking at the star) confirmed. NO Dragon Tales podium on her island. She plays on iOS, by the way.

She has 2 baby farms and one Large Farm. Five habitats. It would be terribly unfair to expect her, or anyone else new to the game, to play at our level at that stage of development.

Just been visiting neighbours - only one of my neighbours under level 27 has the Dragon Tales podium on their island. That neighbour is level 20. The rest are all like my daughter's island, no podium.

Oh yes you posted your daughter had uploaded the game to play, as I did on my new phone along with my son. I always thought this debate was to be about a game that was equal for all players, not for it to be about levels, who should receive gold sales and the ability to breed dragons. Actually I am sure that at one stage you commented, I must be one of the most hated players in the game because I had managed to breed a certain dragon.
We need to be able to share our toys without spitting our dummies as well!

Yes, if you have hit the Start button, the next day will start as soon as you finish the first one, as once midnight California time is passed, the next Chapter is ready, you just do not see it until you complete the previous one, so yes, on Monday you could do all three days in one.

May means days 1 - 3 are usually easy, NOT that you do 3 days in 1 all the way through. The later days get harder, you will need a day for each one in some cases, when you have to evolve and craft and quest. Usually not all on the same day, but some of those things take a while. You can start a quest beforehand, timing it to be ready when needed, but do not collect from the portal until prompted.

I am really unsure how this post has gone off topic! I do believe this thread is about the Royal Flush dragon tales. So as I am so ill informed please enlighten me to what a Royal flush is - maybe it is a hand in a poker game for those who have no idea and so not off thread!

Full House - send Jack dragon to quest for Decks of Fate, 4 hours

Special Crafted Items
Royal Road, requires 2 Decks of Fate (Full House quest) and 1 Secret Scroll (Royal Bluff quest), 1 hour
Chest of Diamonds, requires 3 Royal Regalia (Royal Bluff quest), one small blue gem, and 1 Deck of Fates (Full House quest), 1 hour.
Check your storage for small blue gems. If you don't have any, trade dragons early in the event so you have the gems you need on hand when you are required to craft a special item.[/COLOR]


That looks tricky.
By now it seems like 2 Royal Bluff and 2 Full House quests are mandatory. Then we have to craft (at least) 1 Royal Road (2 Decks Of Fate and 1 Secret Scroll) and 1 Chest of Diamonds (3 Royal Regalia and 1 Deck Of Fate).
So we'll need 3 Deck Of Fate, 1 Secret Scroll and 3 Royal Regalia. That's at least 3 Full House quests and 4 Royal Bluff quests. Probably even more because we all know our luck when it comes to random rewards :p Let's see where I'll be stuck - Breeding a Genie dragon or getting the right rewards from the Royal Bluff quest :D

I am really unsure how this post has gone off topic! I do believe this thread is about the Royal Flush dragon tales. So as I am so ill informed please enlighten me to what a Royal flush is - maybe it is a hand in a poker game for those who have no idea and so not off thread!

Wouldn't it be awesome if we get an Ace Dragon in the next tournament? The new habitat does hold four dragons, so maybe the other card dragons not in this Dragon Tales will be available in some other way.

Grand prize is adjusted for level of player. From comments here, the lower level players, the prizes are a Jack dragon and a King dragon. Past a certain level, the prizes become Jack, King, and Queen dragon.

I'll simply use Magic/Air. With only 7 possible outcomes and Genie being the only common one it seems like the best strategy. And there are only two 18 hour fails. If you don't get them you can even try two times a day to breed for a Genie.

I'm going to start now even tho I'm probably not starting the event till Tuesday, I have been trying forever to get Chess or CrownPrince, almost always results in a genie so I will just continue with that vein, royal x gold or royal x light, should do the trick, first breeding castle x gold = 8 hours, definite genie, mission accomplished lol - I have always been a great genie source.

If you are a lucky person, you could breed Jack with either Air or Magic. Genie is a possible outcome. So is Sunrise.

As much as I want the new dragons, I don't want to get rid of the dragons in my current habitats, to make room for them. Some of those took me forever to get. Good luck everyone

Genko1, lower level players have not built up the resources to achieve higher requirements, so yes, it is fair. If they had the same tasks people would be screaming it was unfair to expect less equipped players to be able to do harder tasks. As I stated earlier, we all have to run before we can walk.

Lower levels has easier chapters in the Tales and battles are less expensive for lower levels. You will get the highest prizes, if you reach the higher levels. But you have to pay the higher price to get te higher prize too...

The game should be the same like the real life, everyone with the same rights. If u start new job in a big company, it doesn`t matter how long experience u have, it`s matter how u work. I change the size of my words in my post in the past, when they were about the battle tournament, just to be sure that people who need help of fighting can see my wins and use it for them to passed some dragons enemies, who are problem for them. Agreed, I wish I had gotten more Purple roads! This one is harder though as 1 quest gives either a part to the road or chest. I am not happy with that. 3 quests in a row and got only the crests.

Uku383 - the wait is until the next day at midnight Pacific time. If you finish day 1's tasks after a couple hours then day 2 begins at midnight PS time. If you take 26 hours to finish day 1's tasks then day 2 is open immediately.

Don't know, my phone game started playing at Level 13, by reading the notes I can complete Chapter 4 but if I need the Noble Crystal it will be all over, 250,000 coins short, but with no Chapter 10 who knows, will be fun though. Or if the word battle comes up I will be royally screwed, lol:)

Unfortunately, Sunrise (24 hrs) is always going to be a possibility from Jack. I'm planning to breed with Metal because I still need Nano, Gadget and Chrome, and pairing it with Metal won't add any unwanted possibilities (no new colors, since Jack will already be contributing blue, white, yellow, and purple).

Yes, it should start automatically on the last starting day.

Looks like I will have the middle requirements so this one might actually be achievable all the way to the end. Won't start quite yet though. Hmm... Maybe I will take a break from my breeding experiment and start trying for a Genie soon.

That's a tough call! I would keep the egg there just for peace of mind - I had such a hard time breeding Life last time. :p But it is annoying to have a nest blocked for that long!

Thanks so much for the help. But I'm stuck trying to figure out what to breed for a genie. I'm not used to all the names of dragons. I've been playing for a little while, but only when the Christmas trio was available did I actually start looking at the forums.

I have a handful of purple and blue dragons, but I don't have just a purple dragon (magic I think).

After reading through parts, I gather that I could bed it and let it sit till chapter 7, which is available to me in about 3 or 4 days... I foolishly paid to open a few quests early. So I'm trying to stockpile food and figure out this genie.

if you are tryin to get this Genie dragon you can get it by breeding magic +air.its common dragon and very easy to get.you can try to breed it before day 7 and just hold it on the nest until day comes to finish that act. hope this helps for you.

Genie is purple/yellow, so you need these two colors. The easiest way is to use one dragon that has only yellow (e.g. Air) and one dragon that has only purple (e.g. Magic). I'm surprised you don't have a Magic dragon, though. It's one that's really easy to get. But you said you have other purple dragons. Do you have a yellow/purple dragon? That would be perfect, too. You could breed that with Air.
Otherwise you can try to breed a Magic dragon first which is fairly easy. You only need Fire and Water. There are four possible outcomes and a Magic dragon is the easiest one to get, so that's a possibility. But a Magic Dragon needs 20 hours to hatch + 20 hours in the Evolution Temple because you can't use dragons below level 4 for breeding purposes. That will take at least 2 days.

Do you have any purple-yellow dragons? If so, breed that with an Air (only yellow). That will give you the fewest possible combinations. If you use a purple-blue then you'll get purple-blue and blue-yellow combinations as well which greatly increases the number of possibilities.

If you don't have a purple-yellow dragon, let me know what purple (combined with any other color) dragons you have and your level. I'll help you figure out your best combination.

I just tossed a fire and water on the breeding den and got a 20 hour so I assumed it was a magic. I sped up the time with gold and yes it is!

I'm on level 173, and made the mistake of following Sparkles' list blindly, so planted pumpwings yesterday before going to bed... Total waste of farm time :( But anyway, with over 750k food I got more than enough to finish these tales.
I actually like these dragons, so I might go for it. Positive thing is that we don't have to raise any dragon to level 15 like in previous tales.

Looks like there is a lot of questing to do, I hope to get all pieces needed in time.
I'm not going to craft as much flooring as I can, because I don't like it as much as the purple fancy floorings from last tales (I have 47 :)) and it's too time consuming to craft.

Apart from hatching a Genie it all seems very doable, again. Good move from TL/S8 to give low/mid leveled players a fair chance, too!

Genie takes 8 hours, but unfortunately Royal and Cosmic are also two possibilities with an 8 hour timer. But Genie is common and the other two are rare. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Yes, magic and air will give the fewest possibilities. An 8 hour timer could be Cosmic, Royal, or Genie. Genie is a common dragon so it is most likely. The other two are rare (and required special habitats).

Since there are multiple new dragons introduced monthly, I wish TL would make a better in game or out of game chart for us to keep track of what we have and levels. Also, maybe changing all the dragon names to their actual names. Black knight would be named black knight and not something like Jobaia. 😀

So far I'm throwing gold away. Lol first attempt was a royal (8 hours) second was a 20 hour... no idea what it is. I can't figure out how to put a picture of the egg. This breeding and it says 8 hours. Here's hoping.

You just need to harvest food. It just randomly dropps runestones. I am not sure whether you can get it from 10 minute food but definitely from 1 hour ones and longer. I don't know how many it drops per hour food but it's pretty easy to collect. Good luck!

You can get runestones through harvesting food. It gives 1 or 2 runestones per hour per farm.
As far as I know only crops that take 1 hour or more to grow will give runestones, but I might be wrong.

Getting a bit confused. Which ones are for higher level players? Different inks could help...

You just need to harvest food. It just randomly dropps runestones. I am not sure whether you can get it from 10 minute food but definitely from 1 hour ones and longer. I don't know how many it drops per hour food but it's pretty easy to collect. Good luck!


You can get runestones through harvesting food. It gives 1 or 2 runestones per hour per farm.
As far as I know only crops that take 1 hour or more to grow will give runestones, but I might be wrong.

I would probably start it today on my main account (to be able to craft more road), but I just stuck that 48 hours Prime Eternal in the evolution temple and it's not leaving till we get the new mining dragon, so I'll be starting right after that.

Playing on 3 accounts on 3 different levels (only started on the lowest one, though), so that will be interesting.

I'm hoping someone might know the Chapter 4 for the highest level before I get there. Does anyone know yet? Also has anyone received any of the emblem things needed to craft the chest of diamonds? Are they a possible drop from one of the quests? I have done a few of both quests, and haven't got one yet.

Well that is odd as I've done the quest 4x's and have only gotten the emblems. I wanted to craft extra roads like last time but that is not going to happen as I am not getting the scrolls. :(

Yes, you are correct about the amount of food required to get to level 12 for both dragons. I updated my post with numbers for leveling up to 12 instead of 13.

I've been up against Big Bad since yesterday. I've defeated lower level Big Bads before, no worries, but this level 14 has sent a long list of my guys to the spa, so I'm hearing you loud and clear! I don't lose often (non-tournament battles I'm referring to), so this is pay back, I think, for my prior good run. Let's hope we don't run into too many toughies when we need wins for Tales.

Keep it on the nest until needed. If you don't yes you will need to breed another. At least that it how it worked with Life during the last tales. I also have a Genie nest-sitting.

I think I'm starting to dislike these Tales more and more... It's more based on luck rather than hard work and timing with each Tales.


Now it's both the Genie and the Royal Road, both based on luck (You can spend days trying for Genie without getting one, and you can sent your Jack on the Full House quest time and again, without him ever returning with the Secret Scrolls ore Royal Regalia.

And to make it even worse, you have to craft a Chests of Diamonds (which each requires 3 Royal Regalia from the Full House quest) and 2 (!) Royal Roads (which requires the Secret Scrolls from the Full House quest), but the tales sent you on the Royal Bluff quest far to often, leaving you less time for the Full House quest - and thus you also need to spend gold on that one...

Sparkles, you are incredibly awesome for all you do, however, I too, now don't know what is the standard (for higher levels) as there are now 3 options listed. Sorry to complain, but, as someone above mentioned, it's hard to be sure what is the normal and what is low or medium (?).
Either way, I'll muddle through though! And, thanks again. Without it, most of us would be lost.

I think she means in the den instead of the roost. If I remember right, usually it's breeding the dragon not hatching - so from the den to the nest is what usually counts for the chapter. Sometimes I say den when I mean nest and vice versa, lol, so I figure this is what she meant, too.

For me, there is no way I would be able to stand not breeding for 10 days... I'd much rather try again for another genie. They are too common for my island anyhow, so I'm totally not worried. Only worried about food and battles (as usual). :)

Edit: I also say den sometimes instead of roost. Idk why this is. lol ...I use both terms interchangeably.

Yes, true, previous Tales indeed also told hatch. But I still remember my own surprise when the goal completed at the moment I put the Life egg on the nest.
Maybe it's both, maybe it's a glitch. Perhaps TL/S8 or one of the mods can clarify this?

I think so many of us already had an egg on a nest for that Act last Tales, you might have been the only one who actually placed a Life egg on the nest after the Act was due! LOL

It is possible both actions count, as I know in FFS it counts if you put the egg on the nest.

Edited to add: Of course, counting putting the egg on the nest as "hatch" is really incorrect as the definition of hatch is to come out of or emerge from an egg. I can understand them allowing both actions from a game rules perspective, but it is still wrong! :)

Ok, I was confused for a second (Didn't read the notes on the Genie dragon thing well enough earlier). I was thinking of previous tales where we are told to breed a specific dragon with another dragon. (I like those much better - easier because it's more straightforward). Because once that breeding starts, that act is finished. On other acts where you have to "hatch" a specific dragon, that dragon actually must be hatched before the act is completed so it takes longer, and we may or may not get said dragon on the first try. It's just gotten harder and harder...higher food amounts, having to hatch specific dragons, crafting things with items that you may or may not get/have... But I digress. :)

Uhm...I had another point I was going to make, but somehow I've forgotten it. lol :rolleyes: It is late here...I suppose that means it's bed time! :)

I just finished chapter 4 and have 21 hours left and want to skip to next chapter as it is a lot of time that I might need in the other chapters, but I need 3 more gold. there are only 6 ways to earn golds :
1. gift from neighbors
2. collect from treasure dragons (gilded, northstar, goldwing, goldleaf, midas, ... there are 11 treasure dragons atm)
3. reward from free games (i don't see any atm but may be on android)
4. sometimes you got golds by watching adds, but the icon isn't always there
5. buy with real money (i never do this )
6. reward from regular tournament (once or twice per month)

the treasure Dragons is my favorite because with all the 11 dragons, i can get 50-55 golds per day (all of them are lvl10)

And ofcourse the battles are rigged too. My first battle was Emerald lvl 10. My Rainbow Sentinel lvl 15 should crush it without any problem (85% chance of winning), but ofcourse he failed. Luckely my Amazon lvl 15 did the trick.

I always have the same problem! When I'm simply battling for pieces or even just for fun I have no problem beating the most difficult opponents. But as soon as a tournament or Dragon Tales starts I lose against the easiest opponents. No one can tell me this is a coincidence :rolleyes:

if that happens,player will probobly continue to play that event with group where he started.
in my opinion ...last time when the tale was on(beauty and the beast) many players couldet finish the tale because we needed like 100,000 more food than in this event,just because we had to raise dragon on lvl 15.( I diden't finish the last tasc for that one...I'm on lvl 109) I had a food but if I spend it all of that for that dragon I would be on 0 food.I had more importent dragons to feed on than to spend all on one beauty dragon.so high levels can maybe produce more food than lower levels because thay collect more coins .this is why thay probobly do 3 differents groups of playin this event.because I really cant belive that someone who is on level 30 can produce that much food and raise two dragons on level 13 and 15. I think this makes sence but still in this tale no one has to raise dragon on lvl 15.... and that's ok for me,who will want to raise it will in time.

Anyone having trouble breeding Genie: check out the discussion thread for Rapunzel. I had 7 or 8 Genie fails in a week trying to get this dragon. GL all. My post:
"After multiple tries with Genie and Peacock, I ended up with 4 Genies, 2 Peacocks, Cosmic(Peacock&Genie ), and Trickster(Peacock &Air).
Got Rapunzel after two tries with Cosmic and Trickster.
Finally!"

Genie and Peacock kept giving me Genie, but even though Peacock is Super Rare it has an 18 breed time so breed carefully.

Also, is it possible to organize the tasks beginning to end on page 1 by level? I feel silly but it's hard to follow.

I haven't started my Tale yet, so this is note to self (and any others who need to remember):

Levels over 131 will need to quest for -

6 Decks of Fate
6 Royal Regalia
2 Secret Scrolls

Total needed: 2 Royal Roads and 2 Chest of Diamonds. (1 hour craft time each)

1 Royal Road = 2 Decks of Fate & 1 Secret Scroll
(needed for Chpt 5, Act 3 and Chpt 9, Act 4)

1 Chest of Diamonds = 3 Royal Regalia, 1 Deck of Fate, and 1 small Sapphire
(needed for Chpt 6, Act 2 and Chpt 9, Act 5)

**Craft Royal Road 1st. Chest of Diamonds crafting should immediately follow Royal Road in both instances, because it is needed directly after Royal Road. Remember not to collect until it asks you to craft it.
