Yes, it does... But not by watering... By following the storyline. I never collected from it until it was fully grown it was just a waste of an energy.

It turns into a huge dark pink tree. It takes a lot of room but it is nice looking. I use to try and cover half of it, but then I gave in and just have it exposed . I like it now. I think the space was annoying me.

You need to follow the main story line. You will get at the point where you will get the quest to produce fertilizer and amber trinket. Where are you now?
