Recipe progess bar missing

I recently downloaded rs on an iphone and started playing. The basic oven and stove do not have a progress bar on the recipes so there is no way to tell how much progress has been made for cooking dishes. Is there a way to resolve this?

You have to reach a certain level and/or point in the beginner's goals before the mastery meter appears.

I remember when I first started a secondary account thinking that the lack of a mastery meter looked really strange, but it will appear eventually!

You will need to be on at least level 8 to get the mastering feature.
