Last update of the year... what does everyone want to see?

I'm personally hoping for a New Year's Eve update (http://forums.storm8.com/showthread.php?55358-Restaurant-Story-Theme-Suggestions/page36#post1227808), with Party Favors, a Happy New Year wall banner, a Sparkling Cider fountain... really hope we get something bright and glitzy :)

And, of course, a sale! :D Jazz Band Jazz Band Jazz Band... 

I wouldn't bet against you on the New Year's! It's one of my least-favorite holidays, so I'll be happy with any party decor that's not too Eve-specific. Love to see another Gran-Gran with drink in hand though, this time champagne instead of a maitai!

Don't hate me, but I would like to see Gran-Gran on a surfboard with a drink in hand for summer (she doesn't have to be in the water). I didn't buy her for 30 or so gems last time.

That sled riding hill is almost the exact same one as in bakery. I think that is a bad sign when they are reusing items from the other game. Eeek. Another totally disappointing update and snub.

Took a chance and opened the crate. I got 4th prize snowball pie. So disappointed. Looks like a pile of nothing. Put it next to the chair so you can see how small it is.

I like the snow fort and the ski slopes or whatever it's called, although it looks recycled from B item from 2014.

Same :/ I'm not sure I'll quit just yet, but really the only things keeping me attached to this game now are (1) the community, which is one of the friendliest I've seen in a gaming forum or in-game :), and (2) the potential for redecoration with a few themes. Of course, there are some items I'd love to have as well, like the Jazz Band, but without any decent sales recently, I'm not sure I'll get the opportunity to get them or not. And, with that potential gone, so is the incentive for me to want to master recipes and earn gems.

I hate to leave my friends, but unless we get a sale by the time my theme ideas run out, I'm probably going to leave. There's not much else keeping me around anyway :(

People, please be realistic! I've seen threats of quitting for at least 3 years (remember the BS []?), but very few ever do. I'm already seeing posts rationalizing this week's update, despite the initial fury.
These games are a well-documented addiction, just like alcohol or drugs. No, you won't quit.
Big reason? Your neighbors. Don't know about you, but I've made lifetime friends. We email, exchange gifts, and I've even had 2 come and visit me (we had a blast!). I've learned a lot from my non-American neighbors...much more than I learn on the news sometimes.
So just hunker down and accept it. No new ovens? No new recipes? Childish decor? No old things brought back that you just must have? Face the fact that no one really cares what you "must have", and play the game for what you get out of it. For me, that's my friends.

People are quitting, including several of my faithful & longtime neighbors. I left fs right after the horrible so called Black Friday sale. I had gems ready to spend in all 3 games (bs too) & nothing to spend them on. Bs & rs at least still have goals, but fs hadn't had goals in over 2 years and that game had really gone down hill in new items. I have a very strong feeling that bs & rs are heading to the graveyard too. The holiday sales and releasing of old items was practically non existent this year. I have been playing since 12/2012 and times are bad in these games now. Also the releasing of all these crates one after another is just lazy/greedy. There are some players that do develop relationships, but probably the majority don't. It's hard to become true friends with someone you just talk to over message boards. I think you shouldn't be so flippant about the comments of people leaving. It is happening & I am one of the ones that have stopped in fs & may stop the other 2 if the quality continues this decline.

I believe quitting just comes down to a personal choice. With lackluster updates, no sales, no lto; people just get tired of it. Why spend $$ on a game that doesn't bring joy anymore? Forums are a way for players to voice opinions, but if our suggestions aren't taken into account, there's not much point. I've had many great neighbors quit both in restaurant & bakery story already.

I really liked the Snow Fort and Polar Bears so bought crate 5x didn't get either (･_･)
I do like decor I got though, just not the ones I was hoping for oh well ╮(⊙︿⊙)╭

Thank you all for the pics! :) Loved most of the prizes so thought I'll try my luck on the new crate. Opened it 3 times and got the igloo with bears, snow dragon and the guy in a snow suit. Sooo happy about the igloo! :)

Of course they gave us a crate. It's what I expected. They're doing what they know is profitable, gem items. Every time u hit the 1 button ur spending 24gems. It's your decision whether or not to purchase gems and how much and how many to buy. I'm sure everyone noticed that there's a30% discount gem sale (the normal amt) today. I'd b interested in knowing how many ppl purchased gems so they could spend them on the new crate.

It's one thing to be varying items of sizes and worth in the box. That's the nature of the gamble and thrill. But this? It's so low and tacky for them to include this. Yeah we know not all items are going to be mind blowing, but why out a chunk of coal like this there? It's insulting an I would have not touched another box.

They could have sold this for coins. No one would have touched it! This happened on bakery with the pastel box. Made me Not touch a box since then. I def don't purchase gems to open them, that's for sure.

And I believe a ton of people have quit too. It isn't baseless threats like before. We just need to look to these threads. Less responses, less enthusiasm, more criticism, far less player interaction. So while they may get new players and some faithful ones still around, lots of huge spenders have quit. I used to have over 350 neighbors at once. Now I have 52. And that was with my scouring the neighborhood and finding someone to add me!

Almost all of my neighbors quit. And two more did so last week. One on bakery also. They keep it up and the company will crash.

I like a lot of the items in this crate, and would probably risk it.... If not for this pile of snow. I'm guessing the box has to have x number of items in order for the odds to remain consistent. So this was thrown in as a booby prize. Eeee... Not willing to risk spending 24 gems and getting the pile of snowballs. Maybe if it was a really BIG snow fort ...
