Designer appliances for gems.

I desperately want a second mixer and I have the gems to buy the designer mixer. I'm worried that if I buy it, all it will do is change the color of my existing mixer. Has anyone ever purchased a designer appliance with gems?????? Did it give you a whole new appliance?????
