Missing Holiday Ribbons

I have been given Holiday Ribbons at least 3-4 times over the last couple of days by neighbours, but they are just vanishing and not appearing in my inventory!
I have tried force closing the game and even uninstalling/installing to no effect.

This doesn't fit this, but really troll coins as the grand prize! Some of us spent coins and have the kitchen. What do we do with coins?
