I have forgotten about limited animals many times and missed out on some great animals in the past :( I was hoping this thread would be helpful to remind us about currently limited animals so we don't forget to try for them if one wants to.

I am too forgot about Brave Eagle although I really wanted to breed it so thanks for reminder! I did manage to breed zombee on accident and was really confused/happy because I thought that it's already disappeared!

Are we sure that all of those animals will really disappear?
So far I think it's only an assumption that animals like the Zombee, Trick-or-Treent (missing in the list above) and the Brave Eagle are limited, because they're "themed" animals, but maybe they are simply new permanent animals.
I have yet to breed a Brave Eagle and dark-fire is currently not on my agenda at all, so I really hope that it doesn't disappear. :S

Well... I'd certainly not want to "give TL any ideas" in the form of this becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy. ;)
If we say often enough that these animals are limited whereas TL hadn't intended them to be limited, we might achieve just that and inadvertently cause them to make them limited... :S

I love the idea of this thread. It is so nice to have current information on limited animals all in one place.

A couple of thoughts. There are fewer animals than when I first saw this thread. My first thought was that they had expired. I then read through the comments and realize what was done (and agree with the decision). In the long run though, this will happen. Maybe a list below the table with recently departed limiteds would make the information more available. At some point this thread may have many pages and that information will become difficult to find. Or we will have multiple posts of people asking the question because they don't want to read through all the posts.

I don't know, maybe 2-3 months or whenever the list seems too long?

How about adding a link to the thread on each specific limited animal? That will cut down on repetitive questions about breeding times and breeding pairs.

Add whether it is breedable. For instance a tournament animal isn't breedable. Nor is a world event animal, yet both are limited. Plus there may be non-breedable limiteds that aren't connected to an event.

Today's splash screen had a clear timer, it seems to expire about half an hour before today's regular update. I clicked it away before having properly calculated it, so just in case be sure to put in any and all last shots at it just prior to 1 hour before the update!

@LonePudding: the OP looks great like this! Thanks a lot! Very handy!
BTW: Maybe it's also a good idea to list the limited habitats in a similar table? Note that the Tinkerer's Workshop has a timer on it that ends already with Friday's update (or shortly before it)!

On my secondary account I just saw the timers and calculated it properly:
-The Arboar expires tonight at the normal update time (i.e. 20:30 CET).
-The Tinkerer's Workshop (habitat) timer expires Friday night at the normal update time (i.e. 20:30 CET). Note that I don't know if at that time only the sale of that habitat ends, or if the entire habitat will expire then.

I'm so sorry! My game likes to pick and choose which splash screens to show :( I should get on to support about this.

The general rule of thumb is that if an animal is available in the Shop, it can be bred. You should be able to breed one since it is currently in the Shop for a limited time.

Yes. The Noelephant was originally a tournament prize so that is the reason for the description. In the past when an animal is in the shop even with that description, you have been able to breed it.

It would indeed be a lot of work to add everything. For example, you would then probably also have to add the Spin to Win animals to the list, etc. and there's not much point in that.
So, I agree: just listing the limited BREEDABLE animals should be fine, as well as the limited habitats.
I also see no real point in listing the Spin to Win, Tournament, Value Pack, etc. animals...

Well, the only way to be absolutely sure is if someone can confirm having bred one now, but since July last year AFAIK all of the temporarily rereleased animals were breedable, despite most of them having had that same line of text in the description. A very good example is the Nightmare that I so dearly missed out on: that was a tournament prize, yet people bred it back then.
I hope someone can confirm having gotten a Noelephant through breeding. I'm currently using gem-fire-nature-water to aim for the Noelephant and the Rudolphin at the same time, but I've only put one attempt in so far, and the second one will not be until tonight just before going to sleep.

I haven't read any breeding successes on this one yet and from the description I would've assumed it couldn't be bred. But both Ogreve and Nina have said that these returning animals can usually be bred, so I'd assume they are correct.

If anyone is successful in breeding a Noelephant, please let us know! And does anyone know how long the Secret Santler will be limited for? Before starting this thread, I wasn't really one to pay attention to limited animals and the market updates. Silly me.

Well, despite no one having reported having bred it, I would still be very surprised if this time it could not be bred...

The only thing I know for sure is that at least the animals that were rereleased in a similar way for the BF sales and the Arboar right after it were breedable. But who knows... maybe this is no longer the case.
I just wished I could have had some more attempts at it. I've only had 1 4-element shot at it and then all attention went to trying for the Secret Santler (seemingly in vain). It's such a pity that both will leave the shop tonight, but I don't want to break my own "rule" of not wanting to plainly buy these "normal limited" animals. I only ever bought six animals that were either strategic moves (Prize Pony, Quartz Quetzalcoatl, 2 Crystal Unicorns) or were simply really cheap (Magnetic Mouse) or were animals that back when they were breedable I tried SO hard for, failed, and that were particularly desirable (Mamaroo). In this way, I'd also gem-buy up to two Nightmares and 1 Skeletal Dragon (i.e. not as a value pack, but for gems, yes, if the price is good).

It is all too easy to give in to the temptation and just buy the animals, but I personally don't want to do that with these two. Bummer. I would have liked the both of them, but new animals will soon be released (quite likely tonight already), so I hope I shall soon be over them...

I'm still curious to find out if the Noelephant can or can't be bred. It would suck if it can't be bred.

I think you have the reason plus the fact that it was a 30-round Battle Arena prize last year at this time. Many of the people who post to the forum who were playing at the time probably already have it.

You would think that would be true. However, all tournament and World Event prizes that have been released say that. For some reason S8 does not change the description when they recycle an animal. So that phrase is meaningless when an animal is recycled. The only rule that has been consistent so far, is that if the animal is available in the store, you can breed it. That is not to say that S8 has not made an error when setting up the Noelephant.

Now S8 has broken the rule with the Ornate Ocelot since it is in the store and not breedable. It the Yule Mule and Krampus can be bred, it will give me two additional fails for breeding the Teddy Bear assuming I can get the first 2 of the trio. Since I already have both, not so good for me. However, I hope they are breedable for players that do not have them. Krampus was a World Event prize and the Yule Mule a 12-round tournament prize.

Tomorrow morning after the last Fireglider that's in the den now finishes breeding I shall speed the remainder of the Daredevil's hatching off the nest. Then I shall get back to what I did on Friday (until the Secret Santler was released): do 4-element breedings with the formula: gem-fire-nature-water. It should give me shots at a Rudolphin and these two rereleased animals at the same. This is the best formula for me to aim for these animals as the only additional fail that is introduced by the water-fire combination is the Skyger.
We'll see how it goes. As the new Treasure animal is not breedable, I shall at least have some fun with these 4-element breedings.

Funny, now that I have two Crystal Unicorns and had decided to not get back to 4-element breedings anytime soon, here we are in a situation where it favours me to do so. :P

I did manage to breed the Rudolphin with my first try (22 overall) back to it from my failed Secret Santler attempts. Maybe I can get this trio after all. It would be ironic for you to bred a Crystal Unicorn now. Good Luck and Have a Happy Holiday trip.

My Yule Mule and Krampus do NOT say not breedable in the description. I purchased Yule Mule before checking. I'm going to try and breed Krampus.

So far I've only got fairy ferrets and 1 jackalope

I breed a fire nature/water nature for less fails I got a 7HR timer so it's either Vintaur or Krampus. Hope this works I had 2 other attempts fire/nature only and resulted in Jackalope & FerryFerret.

Anytime you have Fire and Water in the mix, you can also get a Skyger (7 hours Dark). Water + Fire = Dark. I hope you get what you want.

I didn't bother trying to breed for the Noelephant as it clearly stated that it can't be obtained via breeding. And I haven't heard from anyone who managed to successfully breed one at present.

I bred krampus through my other account

I think when an animal return to the market for limited time is breedable
But the confusion comes from the fact that the description is the same as the description used when the animal was first released

As krumpus was not breedable at that time
Now its breedable but description used is the same as for the orginal release

Really surprised that with all the nature/fire breeding I have done lately no Krampus or Yule Mule fail, but then again I never have much luck breeding the rereleased animals.

One, it has restricted breeding for a particular animal. Plus the unending fails leads to nothing but frustrations.
In the past few weeks I have had a mixed results.
Of the trio , I was able to breed only the rudolphin
Of the re-released animals got only the Yule mule
And of the new limited animals only the Santa Santler
I have sold countless turtisle, Racmoon , Conducktor, and koala kadabras in the process
