S8 seems to like the dragons with hair :D I usuallly don't like it at all, but for the Past Dragon it's kind of subtle and the color of the hair fits the wings and the rest of the body, so I'm okay with it. I have to admit I even like it. I'll try to breed it :)

Nice to see a trio on DS! I was wondering when they would introduce this FFS feature here. Just so you know, if this trio is like FFS trios you need dragons 1 and 2 to breed dragon 3 so it's best to start trying for Past asap.

Love Hanukkah though and would like to try for that one too!

I too was wondering when they would introduce the DV and FFS feature of trio dragons. This looks like it'll be fun but right now gift wrap dragon had my attention. I got it on my second account easily but am still frustrated with breeding it on this one. So annoying!

I like the outline of the third dragon. I can't believe FFS had this done before dragon!

I'm very excited for the trio dragons! I imagine they are Past, Present, and Future (thanks to the poster who suggested Charles ****ens/Christmas Carol theme in the winter theme suggestions!)

But did anyone else notice on the pop-up that the dragon shown for Past is most likely the Present dragon? (Going by the Christmas Carol story, sure looks like it!)

They must have gotten them reversed in the pop-up. Past dragon looks like the middle silhouette.

If it works like trios do in FFS, then yes. The first two will be rare dragons and the third will be super rare. All will be limited. The goal for Past dragon gives us 21 days; I am guessing that is how long we will have to breed all three.

They have these often in fantasy forest story, the last one being day of the dead themed. I'm glad they're bringing dragon trios over :)

I'm not happy about it being a "trio" lol - I see many are. But we've already had a "trio" (LeftHeart + RightHeart = Passion? Ring any bells?) I was so devastated not to ever breed a RightHeart dragon, so I never got the Passion. :(

I got it on the first try with Mist and Fuzzy. I also got the Giftwrap and Hanukkah dragons on my first tries. I've never been on this kind of roll before. But you know what they say, "Unlucky at love, cards, health and life in general; lucky at Dragon Story breeding for a couple of days."

Yes; as long as you are only using Yellow & White, then the only 15 hour outcome is Past :) congrats!

ETA: Just took Griffin & Harvest off the nest, got Leopard :(

My second sunrise fail is in the den, first is on the nest. I didn't have this bad luck with the RH/LH/Passion trio when they were available earlier this year. I actually got RH first (which is apparently harder to get) and had to struggle to get LH. Then got Passion after like two tries. I'm spoiled and don't need this trio to be difficult. LOL 24 hour Sunrise fails are not cool. At all.

Yay!! I just got her! :D Finally...I was starting to think that 15 hrs would never pop up! lol

Here are the combos I used:

1. Diamond x Harvest: Sunrise
2. Air x Light: Sunrise
3. Air x Light: Sunrise
4. Air x Light: Sunrise

5. Diamond x Leopard: 15 hrs! :D

Side note: My Leopard is new to my island (got it during the last boosted breeding) and newly evolved to level 8. This is his first time in the den.

Regarding the Present dragon: since he looked green/yellow in the pop-up preview, hopefully we won't have to worry about any purple thrown in there. That would be so mean. lol

I bred Air/Light so many times during the last weeks (trying for Peace and Past) and I never once got a Leopard. It's a dragon I still need on my island as well :)

I've decided to take a completely different path. I'm breeding Rose and Metal to try for Mech or something. FIVE Sunrise fails in a row was more than I could tolerate. I even did Boosted Breed on the last and STILL got Sunrise!

I agree with you. I tried for the gift wrap maybe twice and couldn't get it and tried for hannuukkah twice as well (second time i got a 44hr fail gold dragon which I already have) . And I thought I will leave both and start on the trio. I spent a heap of gold to speed the sunrise and gold fails breeding and nesting time but it is not looking good. I am getting sunrises back to back. Now present is also released and I'm so p***d off because gift wrap is gone and soon will hannuukkah and past dragon hasn't arrived yet. Oh, I gotta wait 24 hrs to try again for another 24hr sunrise fail 😤😤😤😤😤

I don't even want to speed up because it always seems like a waste to me to speed up a dragon I'll sell anyway. And it's not even slightly guaranteed I'll get the Past Dragon afterwards.

I'm still confused about the third dragon tbh. So we have to breed the first two dragon with each other, right? But shouldn't any other equal color combination bring us the same result? I mean if I breed other dragons that are Yellow/Light and Yellow/Green with each other then it actually should also result in this third dragon... :confused:

@hiabarara Yes we can never guarantee speeding up the breeding process 9/10 it fails just pure luck to be honest yeah u can use the combination that results in both with accomulated sequence for instance sunrise light/yellow fruitful Green/Yellow aslong as the breeding indicates the Aquired Colours then the dragons in the crossings Gudluck :))

Kooky did answer this. It's located on the first page of this thread. You need to breed past and present together to get the 3rd dragon

Well after about " a million" (only a slight exaggeration) sunrise fails, I really am giving up on these. I did get several leopard so,they were not all sunrise, but speed hatching those things costs too much. I will spend some time going for diamond hybrids like the elusive Mercury and angel

You are right and I realized that after I posted my reply and I apologize. I misread your question. I do believe that we have to breed past with present to acquire future but of course I have never taken part in one of these events so I can't be positive that's just the way I am interpreting her reply earlier. Good luck to all! My first try on the only island that I have been able to breed both on is the expected 24hr fail. This one will be tough as Future is only white and yellow no green so it opens up the possibility for so many fails one even worse than sunrise which is the 26hr Pegasus ugh and it's also 15 hours with the ability to still breed both past and present even if you get the 15hr timer you still may not have future! The suspense might just be my undoing lol Cry Sob Cry

It's says "Limited Time" for the Future Dragon and the pop up says "breed through 12/29", so apparently you'll only be able to breed it until the end of December :c
