The Baron's Tent - Release 7 - December 2015

How does the tent work?
1. Every day there's a new grand prize you can purchase. The grand prize is random. All known drops are outlined below & in the Inventory Guide (http://forums.storm8.com/showthread.php?76375).
2. Every day you get 3 free cabbages only. If you buy cabbages, remaining ones (above 3) are carried over to the next day but you do not get an additional 3 free ones.
3. In order to get the Grand Prize, you'll need to purchase some cabbages as you need all 6 prizes to get the grand prize and you're only given 3 free cabbages.
4. Even if you do not want to purchase cabbages, throw your three free ones per day (unless you have the Cabbage Hut). You will still get those prizes (the ones behind the Baron's face).
5. Purchases you can make inside the Baron's Tent:
* 1 rotten cabbage = 10 gems
* 4 rotten cabbages = 40 gems
* 10 rotten cabbages = 90 gems
* 22 rotten cabbages = 180 gems

6. In Oct '15, the Cabbage Hut was released in the market for 450 gems (Limit of 1). It drops 1 rotten cabbage on each collection and has a 22-hour timer. The rotten cabbages are "stored" inside the Baron's Tent (not in the player's storage cellar inventory). No reported limit for the number of rotten cabbages that can accrue and be stored in the Baron's Tent.

You can accumulate the cabbages you collect everyday if you don't use the 3 free on the first day.

Start with your 3 free. Don't use them.

Now collect from your cabbage hut. You should have 4 now. Don't use them.

The next day collect from the cabbage hut again. You should now have 5. Don't use them.

Continue each day collecting from the cabbage hut without using any until you have the amount you want or need to hit all 25 spots.
There is also a pending game goal to acquire &/or build the Cabbage Hut.

Are you throwing cabbages in the tent? The cabbages won't accumulate if you do that. Unfortunately you have to choose between throwing your 3 free cabbages per day in the tent or not throwing, instead building up a rotten cabbage stack...

He's still wearing the green coat; you just have to look really hard cuz it's under the fur around his neck whereas the coat was on TOP of that fur in the first pic posted (image inside Baron Tent).... Hmm, odd difference.

North woods: I think Krampus is a great idea. And a sleigh. I named my horse Rudolph, 'cause "Reindeer horse" just sounds so wrong somehow.
Other holiday items instead of repeat pets would be good,too. Or at least dress up the pets, like for Halloween. Santa hats at a minimum. How about it S8?

I would definitely have thought Christmas decorations would be more popular, especially as the animals become less popular due to over saturation. Different animals, not just recycled or costumed ones, that would at least be more interesting. An actual reindeer, a turkey, a pheasant, a moose, I would even be pleased to see a three-toed sloth at this point!

I think he's the 12th item I've bought from the tent. getting the cabbage hut at only 270 was fantastic. I only had to spend 90 gems on the horse. I could have waited till I saved up more cabbages but didn't trust the random prize handouts!!

By the way, to those balking at the price of the cabbage hut: If you EVER want to get more then 3 things in the tent at around 180 gems each, the tent pays off! It's like getting 10 free gems a day!

Funny how there's a thread to ask about tent faves but none of the items reported by folks are in the tent as repeats. Instead, we get the cats & dogs we said we were TIRED of seeing. Ha!

There are more examples of deco items that players liked and want to buy if you look at the suggestion thread. Geoffrey twice, the Sphinx cat, frenchie and today Alexander. S8 is making it super easy to save cabbages from the hut. I'm totally over the cats and dogs. Seeing that the skunkupine doesn't look like the one in the tent is a bit of a turn off too.
Add me the list of those wanting different animals, either real or mythical. Enough with the cats, dogs and horses please!

There is a bug in the Baron's Tent.

Merg! I really wanted a reindeer stable. I wish they'd have brought that back - it even gets drops. Maybe next year - the mystery drops table took quite a bit of resources. I'm hoping for something great for Valentine's day as well.

Well, I came here to complain about the recycled animals again....the only new release I've seen is the Santa sheep, which appeared the day after I last complained here. Since then, all I've seen is Geoffrey and the naked cat (Sphinx).
Seriously S8? if I can't have another prize until I 'win' them, then I guess I will never have another prize. :-(

known issue with the tent at the moment. If you force close your game, it should be available in the tent for you (and you may get an extra surprise!)

I got the prize- I had two pictures of the holiday ribbon but when a cabbage revealed one both cleared and seemed to apply I had all six prizes and had won the scruffy cat. I tried again and the next cabbage hit another ribbon and the prize was won! Do you have any doubles that still need to be hit?

As I put in the 1st post (part of #6), there is no reported limit to the number of rotten cabbages that can accrue and be stored in the Baron's Tent. :)

...and on another note: Christmas was over 2 weeks ago, but I FINALLY GOT THE REINDEER HORSE!
They're kinda hidden in a grove of trees now, but my Rudolph finally has a flirt-mate! Lol

I'm not certain, but it's possible you will need to delete and re-install your game - the issue you're experiencing here is that the old image is cached on your device, so it's not updating to the new assets.

Yeah, we were really disappointed too when we saw the board version didn't match the thumbnail :C Sorry it took so long to fix!!!
