I would consider buying something like another Wizard School, but I am maxed at 2 and I doubt the limit will be raised.

Anything shown that I would buy are items that I am maxed out on so I guess I will be passing on the sale. It will likely be good for newer players, and less so for someone like me who has a full kingdom and no room for more.

I would have loved to have an expansion release as well as a sale but maybe they will have one soon.

At least it appears that the sale includes useful items and is not simply static decorations as most new releases have been.

Probably the living wood tree because I'm making fairy sap the rest seem useless but I would say every situation is different! I don't understand the appeal of the wizard schools when there are so many other ways to get energy but to each his own!

Well, two upgraded Wizard schools gives 20 energy every 4 hours and 20 min...I have Alicorns too, but I still love my Wizard schools very much. I strongly recommend them to players at all levels. Buy them before all the other gem stuff:)

There are a few gem items I would like to get, such as the Alicorn (just for the heck of it since I don't have one) and Living Wood tree (I'm done the quest that needs faerie sap but lately a lot of time-limited quests ask for living wood so the tree should come in handy). And maybe that cabbage house if it's cheap enough. I have everything else on the picture on the top post so hopefully other gem items are on sale too.

I agree 100%! Wizard schools before anything else. It'll take a while to fully upgrade them but they come in very handy and I have a lot of alicorns too. I love having the barracks, too. Haven't been too thrilled with my 2 fish markets. Love having multiple living wood trees. Faerie skunkhouses come in handy if one is constantly trying to get rat tails, fur, creep tooth and bones, if I remember correctly. Multiple mermaid ponds come in handy, also. I basically say try to eventually have everything but prioritize based on needs and accumulate gem items over time. The mor one can get on sale, the better. ;)

The barracks allows you to adventure more often. The adventures take twice as long though at 2 days each.

I would buy another Wizard School but I have 2 already. S8 would make more from the sale if they lift the limits. Otherwise, there is nothing I will bother spending my money on for this sale.

I have gems for sale in my kingdom and I would buy some if I knew that I could buy something worthwhile. Not going to spend money though without knowing for sure because I learned from experience that the banked gems are usually scooped up by gem traps.

Ah well, maybe next year.

I second this! Its been so long I forgot how long I have been playing but I think it was the May after the LoveShack so I just missed it :(

I have basically everything I need and the only thing I really want purely because I think they are so pretty is an alicorn. I only have the two special ones an not a regular so may get one tomorrow. Energy wise it is not worth the gems to me but I feel like my Queendom is incomplete without a regular alicorn lol. Have the gems saved up for the sale so we will see what happens.

I thought ALL gem items were going to be on sale so just curious why the pergola is not as that is one I was going to recommend to my sister. Is this an error or is in fact some items not on sale.

I also didnt have skunkhouse and was going to get it for me, so its a bummer as I was expecting all to be on sale.

Can someone from S8 confirm if this is a coding problem and these items will be adjusted? Also is there a way to get an exact time this event will expire?

True that. Grab it if uve considered it. I put 450 of my saved gems on the table for it, and still think it was worth it. Then again it says "locked by a goal", thus u might not have to exchange gems for it. However, it's not known when nor what goal. So I circle back to: grab it if u have been eye balling it.

Please Please consider putting all of the gem items up for sale as was promised in the beginning. There are some items I would like to get that are not for sale that are gem items for me and my sister (listed in my previous post)

I am hoping in the spirit of Thanksgiving S8 will keep to the original statement of all gem items.

Also still a clear date of when the event is ending would be helpful to know if we do have the whole weekend or have only tomorrow to choose,

Need Fish badly so I bought the fish market (also because its on sale).

The weird thing is, you need to build it up and part of the requirement is 50 fishes.

If you are going to spend gems to get this because you need fish badly, then you might want to think again.

I have bought Ivy's Bakery and the Fish Market. Neither is particularly useful, but they are colourful and replace a couple of redundant cottages.
Also invested in a Maple tree, and now my wallet's practically empty.

It seems that the main source of gems, playing new games, is drying up for Android, so these may be my last purchases for quite some time.

Ok, I got Ivy's Bakery! Getting an apple tree would mean I could probably get the 8 apple pies done for the table goal but a living wood tree would be very useful later... Need to decide soon if I choose the apples. Tough choices, but I actually prefer it this way rather than just buying everything I want.

Edit: bought the apple tree, because it's cheaper than skipping the apple pies. Hopefully I manage to collect enough apples in time to make it worth it! :)

woohoo!! the cabbage hut is on sale and way cheaper than 450!! I have 100 gems left over for christmas! Don't need anything else though.
BTW the cabbage hut is cool it gives a cabbage for the baron tent every 22 hours. So in less than a month you can get a free thing from the tent. I've spent a lot of gems on around 8-10 things from the tent but now i have a way to make them!

If you are missing any of the fruit trees, I'd recommend getting the one(s) you need for an orchard of one each. Collect from them regularly and you don't really need more. If you don't have them, I would recommend a Maple Tree and a Living Wood Tree. Both are good at maintaining stock (again by collecting regularly). There will be times when every extra sap and LW is valuable. Prepare for the future. Many of the long term players are right that you will, eventually, get the fruit trees and maple trees from adventures. They are random drops and could happen tomorrow or 6 months from now. Doesn't help the game much in the short term.

If you only want one or two royal pigs and/or cows, you could wait around for them to drop from an adventure (mainly dark caves or desert). Lw tree is very useful on the faery line and to make ornate beams. I think you can buy another school plus the lw tree

A few levels ago I did a lot of those fruit trades at the Royal Exchange, then when I reached a certain level that changed to magic fruit exchange and ever since then I've been low on Magic fruit, they don't serve any other purpose for me at the moment other than those trades. I'll hold on from buying that one until I hear if it has more use than that

Love your signature! (Just had to say), and thank you for pointing out and reminding that almost every other game company has a confirmation button and all the others I play or have played did. I find it ironic they are advertising for the competition that is a fairer game but it is their strategy. Still jealous I dont get the videos and more jealous some get gems for it which is so valuable if you think a few gems a day over a year. That makes an unfair game economy in my opinion.

On the topic of Black Friday though:

Overall I was happy to get my first regular Alicorn this event, simply because it is the only animal I dont have and think they are pretty, my Queendom feels almost complete (Love Shack would help complete it *cough cough*) and still have almost 300 gems saved in case anything comes along during the quests during December and February :) Looking forward to seeing what is to come.

My sister made off really well with Black Friday too. She got one Wizard School, one M Dragon, 2 LW trees (was supposed to be one but my clumsy fingers opps!...told her they are still a good investment though and she was okay), and another sheep has 3 plus the turkey now and wool ****s her on many challenges so she can start stockpiling wool and rope. She has 30 gems left and is working on building up again.

So you know the special alicorns have different drop rates than the regular. In my opinion it is better though. The regular is once a week 40 energy, These are I forget either 16 or 22 hours and you can get typically 4 energy (so they average out) but at times get lucky and get 7-20 and the very rare 100 energy from both quest alicorns so I do find them to be better in terms of use, but I couldnt resist getting one regular alicorn today just to finally have it :)

Vulpesvulpes1 I would make sure you have a mushroom trove, just bought my second, and consider the magic fruit tree. They both make challenges easier to stock up for and are helpful in the exchange. The mushrooms also save tons of space as you don't need to pull out as many mushrooms during challenges.

Well for people looking for a little purchase you can get a glimmer trove for only 24 gems. I bought one with leftover gems so I have two. Sometimes you need so much glimmer dust. I just wish there was an earth wisp drop - I know you get them in rare drops but I'm always needing them for expansions.

ETA: All the gem animals I have I got through the quest or through the roost. So I don't know if this is an issue if you buy the animals. But I'm noticing that when I need a rare ingredient for something my animal magically stops dropping it. It's happening again - I have two dragons and two manticores. I am trying to craft mytic essence. Well, my dragon has stopped dropping scales and my manticore has stopped dropping - you guessed it - whiskers. They just give coins and venom. So I'm not sure how much good the gem animals are.

I'd still like to press my plug for a peacock that drops one gem a day if the PTB are reading this ...

True that. Grab it if uve considered it. I put 450 of my saved gems on the table for it, and still think it was worth it. Then again it says "locked by a goal", thus u might not have to exchange gems for it. However, it's not known when nor what goal. So I circle back to: grab it if u have been eye balling it.

I bought the fortune tent awhile ago, I like it. I am a slow player also, I have a lot of patience, and I dont speed things or skip.
But I liked it, and it's nice to win extra things sometimes.
I saw here on the forum I will need a lvl 5 deep mine for glimmergate, so I started to do that in time, so the fortune tent didnt really help me with glues for magic cement, but I think it will be very helpfull.
Also for Sister sister il will be easier. I lost that fortune by mistake, I forgot about it when I did an expension and I clean out a dead log and right now I move trough this quest very sloooowlyy !!!

The mermaids pond helped me a lot when I did glimmergate and griselda guests, as you need a lot of buildings on lvl 5 and you need a lot of living wood and mermaid scales for echanted essence for echanted blocks and beams.
I bought the barrack yesterday and I already have Ivy's bakery and it helps. I got a lot of syrup, hot sauce, silver plate, cake, apple and orange cakes, lemonade, etc which help you a lot to do feasts. I am also max on skunkupies.

How much is the bakery and the tent?

The mermaids pond helped me a lot when I did glimmergate and griselda guests, as you need a lot of buildings on lvl 5 and you need a lot of living wood and mermaid scales for echanted essence for echanted blocks and beams.
I bought the barrack yesterday and I already have Ivy's bakery and it helps. I got a lot of syrup, hot sauce, silver plate, cake, apple and orange cakes, lemonade, etc which help you a lot to do feasts. I am also max on skunkupies.

How much is the bakery and the tent?

I have the amber augmentations goal and need to make potions for the adventure so my mermaid scales are basically all gone.

The bakery is 120 gems and the tent is 150 gems.

Well, you have enough gems to buy all 4 items and you will still have gems for later (Christmas items maybe).
But if you want to spend less, I think (it is just my personal opinion !!) you should drop the barraks ...
I bought it just to have all buildings in my inventory but i don't really understand his logic: for a building at 360 gems full price I think the adventures might take 12 hours not 48 hours !!!

And for the Fortune tent, well, I personally love it. It can be usefull, depends on your level.
I was full on pies and lemonades, and I still use them to do the trades. Not really for 1 gem, but for tickets.

After getting a second living wood tree and seeing it alleviate LW as a stressful resource, I went and bought a second magic fruit tree. Sure enough. Not stressful anymore. Now it's just gems that are a stressful resource. lol But those will rebuild over time too.

I have 4 living wood trees and given the amount of living wood you need for faerie sap and the previous goals with Agnes, it is an excellent purchase. Mind you, I didn't buy them now, but at full price, but that's ok! It's excellent to have a guaranteed drop for a resource.

The barracks is a great investment. On my other kingdoms where I had hundreds of gems saved, I got the mermaid pond, the fruit trees and alicorns when they were on sale before. 3 on each. And I dont even play these things!

But if you play hard, then the ability to go on two adventures at the same time is awesome.

I decided to get the LW tree too after all since I should be able to gather enough apples (with the reward of 15) for all 8 pies.
I'm always short on LW and am just starting the Faerie and Greselda stories.

So all in all I got Ivy's Bakery, an apple tree and a Living Wood tree. Very happy with these!

I bought mermaid pond right away as I am always running low on mermaid scales, plus it is beautifully designed, so no hesitation there.

Then after much debating, I also got the living wood tree and cabbage hut. I haven't get to the goals that seem to require lots of LW, but I figured that it wouldn't hurt to get it now.

The only thing I'm skeptical about is the cabbage hut. Do you guys think it is worth it? I already got it so I can't change my mind now, lol, but I'd still like to hear what you guys think. I think in the long run it will be worth it.

For those still trying to decide what to buy, aside from wizard school, Ivy's bakery is a good investment. I got lots of cakes and pies from it, so it saved me lots of energy harvesting & crafting.

I wanted to say thanks for this great sale too. I bought another alicorn, another glimmerdust trove, 2 living wood trees, and 2 magic fruit trees. I would have bought more if there had been the usual 40% gem sale.

I was one of those that bought Ivy's bakery when it first came out at full price and still think it's worth every gem. I have received at least 40 silver platters which would take 800 silver, 200 Jewels, and 160 hours to craft plus allows me to go on 40 more Desert sands adventures so 40 more chances to get magic cement, enchanted and ornate beams and blocks, architects paste, etc. I never seemed to have enough silver to make platters and can now use it to make other things.
Plus it drops lots of cakes, pies, skunkupies, super yummy pies, ice cream, etc.

I would get barracks if you can manage to make enough resources to go on adventures regularly. Adventures do drop gems and you can use those gems to get other things later. Ivy's bakery would be second on that list (free pies are good) and I bought the mermaids pond when it first came out too since I needed a lot of mermaid scales back then. I personally felt the fortune teller was not a super useful item.

I bought Ivy's Bakery and so far have been very happy with what it dropped. I recommend the barracks also, it has really helped me with some of the goals, usually drops gems and energy. I'm not that thrilled with the tent and have it in storage since I completed all of its goals.

I've got two libraries and Thomas' house and nothing seems to drop the spell books at all. I'm stuck at level 2 with just 12 and all I get from any of those buildings is coins.

ETA: It happened again. I tapped all three buildings and got nothing at all but coins. I'm starting to regret getting the wizard's school - what good is it if I can't upgrade it?

At this point I've given up on finishing quests and am just expanding since all the drops I seem to be getting are coins so I'm stuck. The good news is the message from Storm 8 said that we need to collect trade tickets by Thursday for the next event. I'm good at producing those. About the only thing my city is producing besides a handful of coins are eggs and milk.

I've about 8 wings and no horn.. And every time I do a love quest..it's always wings I get!!!:mad:horns come from Desert sands quest I think. Not very often, but that is where I have gotten them.

Both, wings and horns, are capable of dropping from ancient vaults, roaming bandits, dark caves and desert sands, as well as the romantic adventure (I forgot it's name). Obviously, this is only for those with the Love Shack. Sorry :(
