30 seconds turning into 30 minutes

Was just harvesting impruberries for Chapter 3 of Dragon Tales when a "processing" box popped up. I hadn't clicked anything, but my farms were now being weird. Forced close the game, opened it up again to find my farms only had a few seconds to go, and now say it's 30 minutes. One farm was still working properly. I had also already harvested 7 times, but it only registered 4; was onto my second round of harvesting. Completed the chapter, but just wondering why this happened??

When you come back to your game to play after being away, it may take a few minutes for your game to wake up and catch up with the servers.
If you start tapping or collecting before your game syncs up, you will get this processing sign.
You can force close out your game when not playing, or when you come back to play collect some coins from your habitats or visit a neighbor to give you game time to sync up.
