Turtle Cappuccino costs 100,000 to learn. I figured it would be around that, but my coins are down to almost zero after unlocking peanuts, so it'll take me a couple of days to save up. Will update this post with details once I learn it. :-)

Here's the recipe:

OP is update with all info posted here. Thanks! :)

Thanks LonePudding! I updated my last post with the rest of the Turtle Cappuccino details.

I am now about 1/3 of the way between level 21 & 22. Thinking of saving my coins so that upon reaching lvl 22, I can immediately learn creme brulee. Hoping it only requires cream, sugar & eggs (no butter!), and once learnt, I can keep the French oven busy, rather than waiting for butter all the time! Apple Dumpling, second stove, blender & peanut butter balls can wait! ;-)

Haha, I see what you did there. ;-)
Totally agree, btw!!!

I also just realized that at level 22 I'll be able to access the bazaar, and given it is vanilla creme brulee, I am wondering if I'll need to open the bazaar to get vanilla? I guess I shall see. Will post non-recipe related stuff in the game guide thread, I guess. If I even have enough coins to do anything. Need to take a day off, and earn some coins! LOL

I was right about it needing vanilla from the bazaar, and the bazaar costs 600,000 coins to open, so I won't be doing that for awhile! Maybe Monday...? If I don't expand first, that is.

actually, your intial view was really perfect for one-post-cookbook: it's compact and completely understood!
it is impossible to put AND pictures, AND all-all info into one chart/post, that's why i moved my tables to separate thread with many posts )))
so if you'd like to keep your originals, you only have to replace pictures for quality ones - and keep your tables as they were.

but of course if you wd like to go with more pictures, we wd need to ask ms kooky / ms spirit / ms rynetory to add 5-6 more consequent posts for us on page 1 here, in order to use 1 post for 1 appliance' cookbook - since the forum only allows max. 50 pics in one post :)
such a "pics-view" can look as [...], and i'll send you how it can looks in total via PM.

EDIT: can anyone plse catch a screenshot how do posts of cookbok look in IPad?

i found that everyth looks perfect on my laptop and pc, but on android tablette (via 2 browsers) tables look "glued":
- no grids at all
- no cellspacing

was just wondering... we usually get unlock for home-made ingredients on same level where we unlock the recipe using this ingredient...
- sugar frosting + cupcake
- fruit preserve + scone
- pb + pb balls

and here we see custard unlocked on lvl 22.

and as we know, this recipe doesn't need custard...

It's probably because custard requires vanilla from Marco's shop

Boy am I glad that peanut butter balls only cost 130k to learn because Marco's shop costs 600k to unlock... this is getting crazy.

Also the animation for the blender is completely over the top...the entire lid flies off and it spins around jn a circle. I totally forgot to take screenshots :/

Learned peanut butter balls today...2 hour cook time. Now I have 5000 coins. Almost at lvl 21 but don't think I will have enough to open the exotic bazaar til lvl 24 or so. Hoping the vanilla unlocks with the shop. I can't recall if the other shops offered their first ingredients automatically when you opened them.

Sorry....will get a screen shot the next time I make them. Was in a rush this morning and didn't think of it. TY for the tutorial, Vanacatu ☺.

I did this, too. Then discovered I needed the blender. Doh!
No way I was going to spend gems on a blender, which I now have. Now just waiting to save up enough coins to learn the PB&J cake recipe. I am totally doing everything out of order. But so be it. Expansion and other recipes will have to wait. 8 coins per dish is REALLY gonna help my income stream, though. If I had to go back & do it all again, I would put a higher priority on the cake oven, blender & learning this recipe. ;-)

Same! I'm at level 25 and I still haven't opened up the bazaar.. At $600k, it has just been too much and I'm not a good saver. :p. I'm finally saving though, bc all of my goal lines are held up.. Well I am only at level 24, and have opened the bazaar, but that was instead of expanding & learning several other recipes, including everything peanut butter! I don't even have a second stove, or learn apple dumplings. The creme brulee was kinda (sorta) worth it. At least now I can keep my french oven going constantly with it, plus now I've got a gluten-free goodie. LOL! ;-)

Once I've learned the PB&J cake, I gotta save up & expand for sure. More tables will be good, as will using up expansion parts!

Whoever posted the cost to unlock vanilla, thank you! It is currently ****ing me to not pay the 300,000 to expand my bakery, but wait to open the bazaar instead. It took me forever to save up the money for the blender and to unlock peanuts, and to learn peanut butter. And I got stuck because all my to go orders required peanut butter balls, and all my goals required them one way or another. So right now all my goals are stuck because they require learning creme brulee, or opening the bazaar, and I'm afraid that my to go orders will soon include creme brulee. So I'm now trying to save 900,000 before opening the store so I can instantly unlock the ingredient and then learn the recipe. 😫 And the I'll have no where to put a new counter since I couldn't afford to expand.

as i can understand, this pie oven is lvl29, so i have couple of questions, and hope you can help us:

- 2nd french oven - how much does it cost (in coins)?
(if u built it, have you noticed, how much time it took?)

- raspberry - how much coins to unlock?
(if u unlocked it, then
how much coins is for 1 raspberry itself?
and how much time it takes to restock it?)

- raspberry galette on french oven - do u have any info on learning this recipe? (cost to learn / ingredients required)

- pie oven - how much coins is for regular pie oven?

many-many thanks in advance for your guidance!

Sorry, I haven't been very active the last several days since I've been busy Christmas shopping, etc.!

Second French oven is 880,000.

Pie oven is 1,260,000.

I didn't buy either w/ coins..

It's 350,000 to unlock raspberry, so I haven't done it yet.. I have about 430,000 coins now, but what's the point when it's probably going to cost 1,000,000 to unlock.. I'm debating whether to save to expand or save to learn the recipe.. We'll see..

and, we all have different ways to play. and we all have different bases for our way.
someone cannot spend money, someone doesn't do it out of principle, someone spends money for what he wants.
i was buying gems from time to time before crisis in my country, and was spending it to decor etc... i was working, and could let myself to do what i want when i had free time. i cannot any more, but i don't mind others still can, lol :D rather, i'm really thankful because we can have info for guidance much earlier than if we all waited for coins income in this game - especially in so dramatical conditions s8 made for us by increasing rates way to higher than it needs to be...

That's what I'm saying is the problem though. They put the prices so high so people say "this is ridiculous" and just buy gems to speed it up. Which then motivates S8 to set prices even higher and make important drops even more rare - so more people buy gems. It's a vicious cycle and the only way out is to not play their way.

The ONE time I bought gems, I lost them all in a matter of hours to gem traps. Never again, this game is designed to suck gems out.

While I agree that prices could be pretty high on items, I think that this was intend to slow down players from rushing through the game. Some people can check the game often and level up pretty fast, and if the appliences and recipes would cost not as much then those people would just rush through the game and then they won't be interested in it anymore. So the prices kind of balance the pace of the game. I don't think you should be able to buy every recipe and appliences on the same level you unlock them, I think it's okay if you have to wait sometimes few days or even week in order to buy something. Not saying that the company don't want to get money from players - of course they want to and there are people who are impatient and don't mind paying money for gems, but it doesn't mean it's impossible to get money and buy stuff by just cooking dishes. In fact, I think in this game money come around pretty fast, even on lower levels. Thinking about lower levels in rs2, when I had problems with money, I wasn't able to by all appliences and recipes as soon as I unlock them. A lot of the recipes (at least 15 of them) I learnt being on max level (49 at that time).
I do think though that gem traps in this game is pretty intense, better than it was before, but still pretty easy to accidentally spend some gems. And the amount of gems required to restock items is pretty high, so that's the reason I don't want to spend money on this game :> But I personally enjoy progressing through the game at my own pace and don't mind waiting some time to buy recipe or appliences, it makes the game more exciting and challenging for me!

I agree that the prices are fair, but it just seems like S8 doesn't know how to soften the blow for many things, if that makes sense. Other games require the same amount of days to get money for an item or new expansion, but it seems fair when you wait a couple days in those games. On this game, for some reason it seems unreasonable. I think it may be because the value of an individual coin is so low- something that would make sense to be priced at say 50k costs 500k instead. If it took longer to earn coins but prices were lower I think it would seem fairer. But what really seems to suck are the holiday events. There is a very large bug but no fix for many days and no compensation and our rewards are items that can be bought for around 10-50 coins in the market (except for one gingerbread man). These holiday events are still great features, but some parts just give a sour taste.

Looking at the ingredients for raspberry galette makes me think that it must make quite a lot of coins...4 butter and 5 raspberries takes up all of my butter stock and would take 2 collections of raspberry alone... I'm assuming the learn price is about 600-700k as the lemon meringue is 800 and snowball cake was 500- might hold off on the recipe simply because I need butter for peanut butter balls instead, but I have a feeling it might be a very high coin one.

Why would we EVER put butter into making this when we could use it to make two servings of Peanut Butter Balls?

Bad design and balance yet again.

Have we (more specifically @laineysmom) figured out what the values are for the pies yet? I'm going to skip the worthless Galette for the pie maker I think.

Hi! Sorry, I haven't been posting much since my last post (unintentionally) upset people and took this thread off topic..

I've unlocked the lemon meringue pie (and attached a screenshot). I haven't unlocked the caramel apple pie and I probably won't for a while since the cinnamon apple cider uses less ingredients. I've attached the ingredients list for the caramel apple pie and I will take a screenshot of the ingredients needed for caramel later.. Off the top of my head, I know caramel takes 1.5 hours and I believe the ingredients are: 2 butter, 3 cream, 5 sugar.

The plates with the best ROI are peanut butter balls and PBJ cake.. I've been making a lot of lemon meringue pies, but at 6 coins per plate, I don't think it's anything to get excited over.

The plates with the best ROI are peanut butter balls and PBJ cake.. I've been making a lot of lemon meringue pies, but at 6 coins per plate, I don't think it's anything to get excited over.

Hello! Thanks again for all your help supplying info!

That is the first time I have come across the caramel.. Where does it come from? I don't remember seeing it anywhere.

Hello! Thanks again for all your help supplying info!

That is the first time I have come across the caramel.. Where does it come from? I don't remember seeing it anywhere.

It comes from the melting pot, which costs 1,750,000 at level 31. I attached a screenshot of the recipe (no cost to unlock).

@laineysmom thanks for the peek into the future! I'm at 28 now and it's unfortunate to hear I have at least another 4 levels of peanut butter balls. I should see if there's a way to get a third blender and start upgrading my General Store more. 4 butter at a time already isn't enough.

Here is the screenshot for Apple Cider. I haven't decided whether I'm going to unlock this one or the caramel apple pie first. I'm leaning more toward this one since I have only been making coconut vanilla lattes in my drink machine and the cider uses ingredients that I rarely use.. Plus, I think this is the recipe that most players will want info on.. I don't know.. All of the regular recipes lately **cough raspberry gallette** have been a huge let down when it comes to coins per plate..

Yeah.. If the ROI on these newer recipes continue to be crappy, then I'll probably stop playing soon.. You can only make so many peanut butter balls and cakes before you get super bored.. I probably have enough peanut butter balls to serve a small country.. Right now the only thing keeping me going is my own curiosity and hope for more high profit dishes.. But if it's constant disappointment after waiting several days or WEEKS to unlock a recipe, then it's just not worth it..

Haha.. At least in the higher levels, the coin rewards are also higher. I had several goal lines with rewards of 15-20k in coins. So, I made several hundreds of thousands of coins in one day just by completing the goals that were stacked up.. The coin reward for the to go orders is 2,000 coins now (I think it changed at 29 or 30). Also, the special customers drop more.. Liam drops 300 and Marco drops 500. It doesn't make up for the crappy ROIs of these recent recipes, but it makes it a little easier to swallow..

I buy the appliances with gems, so I'm only saving to unlock ingredients, recipes and expansions.

I also deleted all plates that sell for less than 4 coins, so my coins per customer is much higher.. I could probably do better if I dumped my 4 coin plates, but it's just too hard (emotionally.. Haha) to part with all of that "work".

You certainly did an amazing awesome job getting to level 30s! And earning that amount of money to boot!! :)

Well this game is new, so I think we should be seeing more recipes and features. I guess the team is making the game challenging so we dont get to max level too fast and get bored. :D As for me, I think it'll take me months to earn a million, maybe half a year or more.

CammoAmmo

Yep, still 5. This was probably to balance out creme brulee because it was far too easy to make and made galette practically useless. Now they're leveling the playing field for galette (although I still think creme brulee is much better) while also allowing players who have just unlocked the blender to put the custard recipie to use instead of having it sit around for several levels.

Omg. The raspberry galette costs 700,000 to learn, not 350,000 as shown in the pic above. Grrr

I went by the info in the pic, scrimped and saved and unlocked raspberries in the market, all set...only to see the cost to learn the recipe is now 700,000!!!!

i'm sure it's just a missprint.
if we look couple of pages back, we see that our pioneers didn't learn the galettes at same moment when the raspberry unlocked for 350k.
(looking at only 5coins income from galettes - i wdn't say they did wrong to wait so long, lol)))
so don't judje us too hard, this is not always so easy to put all the things together, i'm sure ms. pudding did it not specially to bring you in stress! )))
this is actually a team work since we don't have any guides from our developers, so we do it with a great help of you all, including "catching bugs" of wht we missed / did wrong.
so, thank you for pointing this out! and hope the running goals will help you to build up some coins to learn the recipe.

yep, fully agree. i'll think about it tomorrow. (c)

however, i feel they learn only major issues - not registering goals etc... that we faced during xmas goals, for example.
the issue "players left to figure out everything by themselves" doesn't seem to be a major one for our gods.
i guess when they have no time and/or priority to inform us - they consider it could be like another quest for us, to find out wht they changed...

(really, we faced one thing in regular bs and rs
(also, in other games like dragons etc) -
they stopped to announce updates in blog.storm8.com.
the last thing we've got there - it's their xmas party review.
for sure, they deserved a great party, but...
why didn't we all desrved keeping to be informed?
seems to be rhetorical question now... alas!)

I wish we had direct communication with the game developers. I know it's rare for such large companies, but how hard would it be to have maybe one person check the forums every once in awhile? Our moderators do a great job but it's hard to pass on everything and people listen better if they hear it for themselves, not if someone says "oh by the way bs2 players do not like this."

openning such a "direct connection" is like openning pandora's box - u cannot ever close it then.
believe me, out of 1000 requests, there will be max. 10 useful / constructive. all others will be "how do i bake the pie" and "how do i get the gems".

Hmm, you are right, maybe that is true for this game...

My favorite games are all hugely successful and all have developers and employees who are a part of the forums. They fix bugs in a snap and implement player ideas and have great updates constantly, so I see that some companies are very successful from their level of communication with the player. However, you may be right that this game may not need that.

Bottom line, I can only hope that they listen to us for all the things we have been asking for awhile :(
