This will delete the current order, and it will take 10 minutes refresh time for a new order. Similar to Restaurant Story 2, Bakery Story 2 has a mastery system, unlocked at level 12
There are 3 levels of mastery: Novice, Artisan, and Mastered.

You gain "mastery points" by serving food. Every time a recipe is served, it contributes one mastery point towards that recipe. In the appliance menus, you can see how many mastery points are needed to advance to the next level. Each level of mastery brings a reward, unique to the different recipes. The picture below shows the rewards for levelling through the mastery of the Welcome Tart:

Silver (Artisan) = +5% increase to servings and coins earned
Gold (Mastered!) = -10% off the cooking time)

useful feature in game: "todo" mark in cookbook.

when recipe is required for any task in your goals book, then in cookbook this recipe is marked in top right corner.

the mark disappears as soon as you served required quantity of this dish (even if related goal is not yet complete / needs to do smth else).

Tip on deleting items in storage.

You can actually manage your Pantry when you reach 90% capacity. When you open it, you should see X's that allow you discard all of a particular item.

i wd like to ask ms.kooky & ms.spirit - regarding leveling-up points.

since we do not have a precise meter for xp-points to level up...

(for example, in FS2 we have "100/1'000" in scale, whch means we got 100 points of 1'000 required to level up)
(or in other games we can see in our profiles "xxx XP to go until nex level")

... and since current level cap is only 30...

how do you think, would our developers be so kind to let us have exact numbers of XP requered for next level?

we anyhow cannot get this numbers without their help - the tasks we complete give us various XP rewards, and the levels are jumping without stating how much was for prev.level, and how much counts for next one. we will never get exact numbers :(

so pls, ms. kooky, ms. spirit, could u check with developers for such a list? only xp numbers required for levels 2-30.

I thought I remembered this recipe being 40,000 to learn. I remember because that seemed outrageously high, to me. Perhaps a third party can confirm when they reach that step.

if wht he says is true, at lvl22 we will get an exotic bazaar (to the right of jack's shop).

put resp. changes into lvl-up table (post#11).

I think you're right. It was 40,000. I had just unlocked the apples which were 27,000. Sorry for the confusion!

The game is brand new and like all the games, S8 will be adjusting and adding features in the future. :)

Early on, it is hard to save up, especially since early recipes only sell for 1 coin each. As you unlock more recipes, try to cook ones that give more than 1 coin. I have gotten in the habit of deleting food that only sells for 1 coin by selling the counter they are on. Now I ONLY cook 2+ coin dishes, unless they are required for a goal or to-go orders. This said, cooking enough food to keep customers buying overnight is helpful to earn more. Every time I learn a new recipe or buy a new appliance or expand, it pretty much wioes out my savings. Next up is a 150,000 coin expansion, so that'll hurt! :-/

It can be done, it just takes time and patience! And lots of cooking! ;-)

I'm now stuck because I made the mistake of going in the game & tapping the notes & gifts from customers & now can't bake anything since my pantry shows 51/50. Every recipe requires 1 more item or so but I can't bake anything because I can't buy any ingredients! I will not delete everything I have of one item just to continue! I should be able to delete 1 of the cherries, 1 of the chocolate, etc. not all of that item.
Guess I'm done with the game!

Made the same mistake.... Now I let Liam sit at the table for a few hours ... And I no longer fill up on the easy items like sugar, flour and eggs until I need them... If I have to delete an item I start with sugar since there is hardly any waiting period for it to restock...
But I totally agree... I really hope that we can soon delete one item at a time... Otherwise it's very difficult ... especially since shelves and jars to upgrade the pantry are such a rare drop from the deliveries... Wish they would raise the drop rate a bit in comparison to the thank you notes

I have 50 inventory. 23 notes, which is almost 1/2 of my inventory plus a few of the other upgrade items with the exception of the much needed shelves. I have approximately 10/11 spots left for food. It doesn't matter if you delete 1 sugar when most recipes call for 4-7 items. You need to delete that many spaces. What good is it to delete 1 sugar or 1 egg, etc when most recipes call for several sugars? The only way I can unstick myself at this point is to delete ALL notes.

This is for other players who haven't gotten completely stuck yet. I would suggest to stop collecting notes until you have all other upgrade parts, then stop collecting and making food and spend the day collecting only enough notes to upgrade something. Once you upgrade you can go back to normal play, rinse repeat. This won't help long term as eventual you will still get stuck, but this suggestion might help delay the stuck status a while.

Just an aside. I had upgraded to 60 but the next day my pantry had reverted back to 50, said it was full and my needed shelves were gone so I couldn't re-upgrade. That really messed me up

ok, here's some things we found together (may be usefull for guides):

1) to go orders

- from lvl.7: 2 orders / 2-3 recipes in each / rewards: tools or $500 / fill the order 6-8 gems
- from lvl.10: 3 orders / 3 recipes in each / rewards: same / fill the order 7-12 gems
- from lvl.16: 3 orders / 3-4 recipes in each / tools or $750 / fill the order 10-18 gems
- from lvl.20: ? / ? / tools or $1'000 / ?

- gem value of recipes is not the same.
(i've seen, for example, 2 orders for which i only had to add blintz.
one of orders shown 6 gems for blintz, and the other one - 8 gems.
means, the gem price of order formed basing on its total content)

- if you don't like your order, you can refresh it to get the other one.
refreshing time is 10 mins.

- one order takes abt. 10...20% of your serving.

2) visitors

- common customers bring nothing, i guess everybody noted it already.

- boxes are only brought by jenny, charlotte, jack and mr. X(otic)
(ms infinite, can you see his name in your unlock-picture of his crazy bazaar?)

- these guys visit not so often as liam (who only brings thanks). i guess 2,5 .. 3hrs (i've put it into respective table in charts-thread)

- only once (max. twice) a day - all 3 of them bring food.
usually 2 food boxes + 1 coin box.

- jack is the most greedy (except mr.x, i've not yet unlocked him).
his box drops food the rarest.
usually it's charlotte and jenny with food, and jack - with coins.

I think I had 14765 too a while back. Its difficult to tell when we serve a dish with more xps. Hopefully we see some changes in the next update. Cant wait! :)

New info:

Level 23 at ~55,000 pts (forgot to note exactly, but probably between 55,000-55,500)
To-go Orders give 1500 coins at lvl 23.
New appliance (at level 23): Cake maker for 390,000 (not sure what recipes are available, but thought I saw something about carrot cake?)

Since it is so slow earning coins, I am behind on goals. Need ~ 1.7 million coins to buy second stove (110,000), blender(200,000), expansion(300,000), open exotic goods store (600,000), learn new recipes & buy new Cake Maker appliance (390,000). Currently have almost 500,000 coins & planning to open new shop next. Time to hurry up and wait. ;-)

Will report back when I know more.

Edited to add: Finally unlocked it. Takes 3 hours to open.

Geez, I barely reached level 22. This game is getting so old and boring now. I've been playing BS1 and it still has more value over this one.

Why on earth did they even add more new content for Thanksgiving (mostly gem items) and not even a real update to actually visit other players or what not? The amount of coins you have to try to save up after days of a week is just pathetic. This game is seriously going down hill in my books.

Almost at level 24, so will take photo of both ingredients.
Vanilla is 100,000 to unlock. (can't remember if I posted that already)

i believe it's about selling out the counters.

coz for the cooking, they didn't yet made final mitt's prices - i'm sure.
anything i cook, costs 1 mitt to finish immediately.
i suppose, when they apply community feature (and we can get mitts as a gift from neighbors),
they'll reconsider these "prices" depending on time left.

as for counters, that might be right.
currently, i have counters with:
- 608 plates - 4 mitts to sell
- 595 plates - 3 mitts
- 510 plates - 3 mitts
- 497 plates - 3 mitts
- 362 plates - 2 mitts
- 222 plates - 2 mitts
- 177 plates - 1 mitt
- 92 plates - 1 mitt

means (+/-)
* 001..199 -> 1m
* 200..399 -> 2m
* 400..599 -> 3m
* 600..799 -> 4m
* etc...

(but it made me think also of smth else...
i never paid attention to orders from to-go stand in this mean.
do we have really random rewards or they depend on smth?
i only try to collect statistics of how much % of serving they take, and how much gems each recipe takes to deliver...
but maybe there is also another connections? hmm...)

Oh I see... I have yet to clear my first counter - I completely forgot I could do that! 200 plates per mitt does seem about right.

I think To-Go orders are completely random. I would definitely refresh for 4-recipe orders if it guaranteed rarer items though (blueprints, blueprints, blueprints)

To level up to Level 19 I was on 20170xp.

I expanded Jenny's General Store to level 4 and the upgrade from 4 to 5 is 18 thank you notes; 14 red baskets; 14 discount tokens (what are we calling those blue thingies with 20%?).

and my own personal woohoo moment was that today I got my first (and only) gem for a to-go order. Wish I had screen shot the size of the gem as it was nearly the size of the whole screen! It didn't register straight away, but after I force closed and went back in it did register. (just in case that happens to someone else, you know now there's a fix :))

it's not about spending. i spend nothing but requested - and i don't believe it helps to get there...
any expenses look paltry against wht they ask for necessary things!

i was just updating my calculations (http://forums.storm8.com/showthread.php?87196-BAKERY-STORY-2-Goals-Guide&p=1228225&viewfull=1#post1228225), and it comes that for first 20 levels we needed only abt 1,2mio - but for next 10 levels it wd be not less than 10mio!!!
and smth tells me that for next 5 levels this value won't be even doubled, but way way more...

frankly speaking, i don't see any proportions - at least on a stage where the game is now.
in rs2, i'm somewhere at lvl45, and i don't remember 1mio recipes or ovens.
despite we have some help there like spices adding value etc...

I HIGHLY suggest you do not unlock the raspberry galette as it is only a 5 coin dish same as brulee so it makes way more sense to simply cook the brulee and not waste butter that you could use on peanut butter balls instead. I have not baked a single galette since unlocking it.

Marco will start dropping ingredients when you get to level 29. You'll start getting Vanilla and Coconut, and you can also get Cinnamon when you reach level 32.

Sam's workstation isn't functional, but she appears to be making orders. She can be put in storage if you'd like to.

Many of us have complained about the coffee cart and the painting but nothing so far. Hopefully we can store them in a later update :)

I just reached level 35 with 435,148 XP. I served a scone when I was leveled up.

Brown sugar unlocks for 950,000 coins... I posted a pic. I'll check out the ingredients for the Cinnamon rolls in a bit.

Cinnamon Roll Cake looks promising based on the ingredients and the fact that the cake maker's 2 other recipes earn 8 coins pp. If I wasn't so far into saving for the jelly donut (ie. if I hadn't used 770,000 coins to unlock dark chocolate), I'd probably go for this recipe next even though I'm sure it'll be more expensive to learn.

I too only cook dishes 5 coins and above. I also sell counters with food with less than 5 coins on them. I'm on level 31. It's definitely not a race, it's a crawl with the price of everything...lol! Thanks for the encouragement:)

I think it's great if people want to use gems to get ahead. I use gems myself on occasion. I too like the fact we can see ahead and plan accordingly!

At first I thought people shouldn't use gems because the game had major issues, but now I realize I was was way too harsh. The players who use gems always give us such great info. Now if only they could just give me a good value pack again, I would finally buy more gems!

lol I doubt it, most likely it'll give 11 coins per serve, but 8 mil is a little bit excessive ....I personally think 6mil is considered as a reasonable price....
Unfortunately the new goal didn't tell us anything about the name of this wonderful ingredient.
